Chapter 18 - Discussions Became Out-of-control!

Sky Entertainment Media, office.

Silence lingered in the room. The entire public relations team was quiet. Only Nick was scolding as he read the comments. It was obvious he was irritated.

At eleven-thirty in the morning, as Internet discussions became out-of-control and netizens were feeling intense emotions, fans went to the official Twitter account of [Chicago Daily] and suggested a thorough investigation of the car accident involving popular celebrity Tom Pablo's agent.

Before Nick could display all his public relations skills, the police personnel had already appeared at the lobby of Sky Entertainment Media.

At twelve-thirty in the afternoon, Nick received a call from the receptionist at the lobby.

"What did you say? Who's downstairs?"

He raised his voice and his handsome eyebrows were furrowed. He pursed his lips until they became pale, and he was exerting force on the mobile he was holding.

His assistant stood trembling by the side and didn't dare to say anything.

This was the first time she saw Nick so angry.

After hanging up the call, he rubbed his eyebrows. With a hand on his waist, he sighed deeply. When he opened his eyes again, he looked at an assistant, Lindsey Hutton, and lowered his voice. "Go and get Susan out!"

"Oh…"

Lindsey was Susan's assistant. She was usually responsible for all her day-to-day matters.

At this moment, Susan was sleeping soundly in the lounge. She was totally unaware of the discussions happening on the Internet and the requests of fans.

Ten minutes later, Susan walked out without makeup. Most of her fatigue was gone and she was now energetic. Her cheeks were stained red like rouge.

She raised the back of her hand to cover her mouth as she yawned. "What's wrong?"

Nick hesitated and didn't speak. The irritation on his face was clearly seen by Susan.

"Pretty troublesome?"

She asked further and Nick said grimly, "Change your clothes. We're going to the police station."

Half an hour later, news of Susan being brought to the police station maxed out on the hot searches on Twitter, thanks to entertainment reporters who followed the entire process.

Susan's fans tried their best to control the comments. However, this was a serious matter and criticism from all walks of life exploded…

Under the accompaniment of Nick, Susan stepped into the police station for the first time.

On the way, she was followed by countless reporters who tried to obtain first-hand information.

If not for Nick and Lindsey protecting her from the side, Susan felt that they might have removed a layer of skin from her.

She had never seen the reporters so crazy before!

In the police interrogation room, Susan sat alone on the side of the long grey table. Her white floral skirt complemented her calm elegance. It formed a strong contrast with the solemn interior.

Within five minutes, a clerk and an auxiliary police personnel entered. Both of them were carrying documents in their hands. When they saw Susan, they said kindly, "Miss Yates, don't be nervous. This is just a routine questioning."

"Alright."

Seeing her calm emotions and her cooperating attitude, the two police officers secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

What happened today had fermented too quickly. It was originally an ordinary traffic accident. As this involved a celebrity, their official Twitter account became popular. The superiors highly valued this incident as well. Otherwise, for a small case like this, there was no need for them to investigate.

"Miss Yates, where did you go yesterday? Who did you meet?"

It was an official routine questioning and Susan answered truthfully.

"When you met Miss Felicia Queen, did anything unpleasant happen or were there any physical conflicts?"

"Then…"

The police officers continued to throw out a lot of questions. Finally, it was mentioned that she got into a Volkswagen when they parted ways.
