After receiving Susan's call, Nick was leading the public relations team for a meeting. When he put down his phone, he looked at the screen for a short while in a daze.
"Mr. Chapman, Susan had already shared the police's tweet on her Twitter account. There's a shift in public opinion and the current situation is looking beneficial for us."
After the public relations office finished speaking, they realized that Nick wasn't listening at all.
Twenty minutes later, Nick dismissed the meeting in advance. Before leaving, he instructed them to contact reporters with whom they have better relationships so that they could have first-hand information at Loyola Hospital tomorrow.
…
Centennial Tower.
Susan returned Brad's phone. After thanking him, she prepared to return to her room. However, the man's voice sounded behind her and she stopped in her tracks.
"How are you going to resolve the matter?"
Susan looked back and grabbed the hair strands in front of her forehead with an unnatural expression. "Felicia was the one who misled reporters and netizens. I'm going to make her retract her misleading words."
"Need any help?"
The man's tone was indifferent as if he was saying 'the weather is good.' Susan met his eyes, then looked away immediately.
"Not at the moment. There's no need to use a spear to kill a fly!"
Susan raised her chin and looked slightly stubborn. In the man's eyes, she looked agile and cute.
His gaze sank. Under the lights, it seemed deeper and further. A trace of gentleness could be seen and it made Susan's face and heart melt.
She fled.
This man definitely had the capital to seduce someone…
…
The next day, ten in the morning, Loyola Hospital.
Susan wore a dark blue knee-length dress and high heels. Her long wavy hair ran behind her back, and her figure was tall and slender.
When she reached the hospital, she first revealed a pair of fair-skinned long legs when alighting from the car. She stepped on her high heels and her calf line maintained a beautiful arc. She leaned forward and her actions were extremely elegant.
After putting on her sunglasses, Nick stood beside her and looked around. He said, "The ward's on the seventh floor."
Susan's face revealed a trace of a cold smile. "Let's go."
Susan and Nick walked side by side in the ward corridors which were filled with the strong smell of disinfectants.
Her long wavy hair swayed as she walked, and she looked gorgeous.
Outside the ward, before she could enter, she heard Felicia's soft voice, "Pab, you've worked hard. You took care of me for so long last night."
"What nonsense. You're so injured. I don't feel at ease to let others take care of you."
Tom was indeed a master at honeying words!
"You don't have to worry about me. You still have two sets of magazine photoshoots in the afternoon. Don't delay them!"
Tom was about to speak when someone slowly pushed open the door of the ward.
"Sorry to have disturbed you!" Susan stood at the door and pointed with her finger. "The door was unlocked. You won't mind me coming in uninvited, right?"
Felicia's and Tom's eyes were fixed on Susan. The atmosphere seemed to stagnate for a while.
Felicia was the first to regain her senses. She was lying on the bed in a hospital gown with one leg hanging in the air in a sorry state. She curved her lips into a light smile and greeted her, "Susan, you're here! Why would I mind? Come in."
Look at her. It was a real pity if she didn't become an actress.
Susan stepped in with her high heels. Nick, who was behind her, appeared with a bouquet of white lilies.
The flowers had a strong fragrance and they immediately diminished the smell of disinfectants in the ward.
Tom's gaze was still fixed on Susan. Some traces of sullen anger could be seen faintly on his face.
Susan ignored this.
The high-class single ward was fully equipped with all facilities.
Felicia's face was still pale from her injuries. When she looked at Susan, her eyes flashed.
