Susan was like an agile cat. She walked quickly to the car, pulled open the car door, and slid in.
Hans was shocked. Just when he was about to scold her, he looked clearly at who it was and swallowed his saliva.
At this time, Susan saw from the corner of her eye the gazes cast by Felicia and Tom. She leaned forward and closer to the cold Brad. She whispered, "Hey, help me out!"
Inside the car, Brad leaned against the back of the car with his legs folded. His elegant black shirt had his neckline open. He was sitting upright with a document in his hand.
When he heard Susan's words, he raised his eyebrows and caught her flashing eyes. He followed her gaze outside the window and saw the two people standing rooted to the ground. He said playfully, "How should I help?"
Susan patted the back of the seat and said, "Start driving!"
Hans saw this scene and immediately straightened his back. He held the steering wheel, waiting for Brad to say something.
A deep smile was hidden in Brad's eyes. Seeing Susan's cautious action, he casually placed down the document. The next second, his palm was wrapped around her slender waist and she entered his arms.
"I…" Damn it.
Susan's body became stiff. She was about to reach out and slap away his hand when the man's deep voice, coupled with a faint smell of tobacco, sounded in her ear. "You're welcome. Hans, start driving!"
The car drove away. Following the scenery retreating, Susan looked at the entrance of Parkson Mall. She saw Felicia flung off Tom's hand and saying something. Her tense mood gradually relaxed. A faint cold smile of mockery appeared on her lips.
Felicia was never so magnanimous. Why did she have to pretend in front of her?!
"Hey, your hand…"
Susan regained her senses and realized that the man's hand was still on her waist. What was overboard was that she faintly felt that her skin was a little numb from the rubbing of his thumb.
Did this man not understand not to do things that didn't conform to the rites?
The backseat was spacious. As Susan said, she moved sideways so that the distance between them was further.
The smell on his body…. was too confusing.
Compared to Tom's faint fragrance, his body had the clear and unobvious smell of tobacco that only mature men would have.
Brad released her without saying a word. His handsome face seemed a little colder than before.
The atmosphere in the car instantly became suppressed and cold. Susan blinked her eyes in confusion. She looked at the man's quiet face and inexplicably felt that he seemed unhappy for some reason.
Susan pursed her lips and subconsciously sat up straight. She muttered in a clear voice, "Thank you for just now."
The man's lips curved up. He lowered his head and picked up the document by the side. He said plainly, "No need."
How cold!
Susan couldn't figure out the man's thoughts. The cold atmosphere in the car made her feel like she was sitting on needles.
She looked out of the window. Seeing that there weren't many cars on the road, she patted the car windows. "You can let me get out in front."
"You're planning to walk back alone?" The man looked up from the document. No emotions could be detected from his voice.
Susan stopped breathing and smiled. "How can that be? I can hail a taxi back."
Without waiting for Brad to say anything, Hans spoke. "Mr. Quin, there's a car following behind us!"
Susan turned her back. Her eyes flashed suspiciously. When she saw that the black car was wrapped with the logo of "Entertainment Today," her face sank immediately.
They were followed by the paparazzi!
"Stop the car in front!"
Susan was speechless.
This man must have done it deliberately!
Susan looked at him gloomily. She had to compromise and say, "Hold on… can I trouble Mr. Quin to send me home?"
