Chapter 6 - Unfair

"Coach why she is wearing her kit? Is she going to play? I thought you told us that there's no way she would step on the pitch." The players of Faith Universit couldn't believe what they were seeing after they saw Amy warming up and preparing to step into the pitch.

"It doesn't matter anymore if she is coming on to the pitch. They are in the most unfavorable situation, by being a goal down and playing the game with ten men on the pitch. Are you afraid of playing against a team that we've already won this game against?" Faith University's coach was confident that they're destined to win this game with absolutely no doubts in her mind.

"I accept your request, I have a plan since you want to play now. Does everyone still believe that they can win this? I want an answer from everyone and I will reveal my plan that might be risky but would be enough to beat this team."

"Coach if there was ever something we never had all these years was the will to believe... but there is no way we ever gave up, that was the trait we always had it." the team's beliefs were about to be restored.

"Alright, we have no other way around it, no more opportunity because we never know if we'll ever have an opportunity as good as this in the coming future. The only opportunity I have ever known in my life was now, this moment right now."

"If the first half of the game has gone against us, then there is no option left for us, other than to believe that the second half will be kind to us and will be in our favour. Although only believing was never enough, unless we have something to back up our beliefs, I have the plan to back it up. Amy would love to hear this, as I plan to involve her in this game. Amy, you are going in as soon as the next half begins, and I want you to play in a different position rather than midfield. I was hoping you could play in the forward, and you'll be alone up front. They will probably control the game by having the ball for the whole game and wasting time by managing the game with possession. The only way we can win is by putting pressure on their defenders while they pass the ball, this is risky because we are playing with only ten players, but if we manage to pressurise them, we will break through them as Amy is the fastest and no one would be able to catch up to her."

The teams walked into the pitch set and ready as the referees prepared for the second half to commence. "Oh, you being back on the pitch is going to make a difference? Hahaha.... I'm sorry, but it looks like we'll be going through today. You have shown great determination, but its time for you to take a rest by not qualifying to the Victorian Cup." The captain of Faith University was provoking Amy to get a reaction out of her, but she was not buying to it.

"The second half has not yet begun, but you sure talk too much for someone who has deceived our team. For now, I don't want to have a petty conversation; let's do the talking on the pitch."

The whistle blew for the second half to begin, the game was going as expected as Elly, Inkford's coach. Faith University was controlling the game and trying to waste time by protecting their lead in the game, it was a game of patience, but as the game got closer to the end, Inkford started losing their patience.

The risk was always present with ten players. It showed how much of a burden it was as they conceded another goal in the fifty-fifth minute.

"Hahahaha.. weren't you the one who was going to do the talking on the pitch? I supposed you must be dumb and can't speak a thing because I haven't heard all the talking you did on the field. It's been quiet all game. Not just you, but your whole team have been quiet. Just accept it by now; your team doesn't deserve to play the Victorian Cup." Amy was in so much anger but chose not to reply to the opponent's talks, she was concerned about her team.

"Is this.. Is this happening to us, Amy? What are we doing wrong? We tried our very best, and yet it's not good enough. Life seems to be so unfair...." Amy's teammates were devastated. They were left with no belief in them, and they had given up."

"It's one of those days, no matter what you do doesn't seem to matter. Life is truly unfair."
