Liu Ku escorted all of them along the way Zhu Su already knew. Never getting into Xie Wang's headquarters, Wu Qi shouted, "Oohh... Xie Wang's Headquarters is located in here? Geez, we have to search for it everywhere, who knows it is much nearer than our guess!..."
"Just hidden within the dense trees," Zhu Su replied.
"Are you really sure this headquarters is deserted?" Apparently, Wu Qi still did not believe with Liu Ku.
"Yeah... I can go in and out freely just now... That means it's deserted, huh?"
The color drained out of their faces. "Hey! That means it's not exactly deserted, you know!" said Rui.
"Or maybe... this is your trick to get the prince?..." asked Xiong suspiciously. This statement made everyone immediately square off, guarding Zhu Su tightly.
"Your Highness! He is deceiving you! This must be Xie Wang's trap! Let's get out of here, quick!" Rui insisted. The others also joined him shouting in agreement.
Liu Ku frowned. "You suspect me?" He asked cynically. "Then how can you get the antidote for the Emperor?"
"That's easy, we can think about it later! But the Prince must be saved right at this moment!"
"Oh... okay then! If the Ming Emperor has to die, then this is all because of your fault, hmm?"
"Alright!" Zhu Su cut off. He looked at Liu Ku sharply. "Liu Ku... I believe in you. So please, don't misuse my trust. Please give me the antidote."
Liu Ku grinned. He bowed in a respectful manner. "As you wish, Your Highness."
When they crossed the front yard it was indeed no guards there. They could enter the headquarters very easily. However, this silence even made them wary. Wu Qi and Hu Nayin looked left and right continuously, their heart could not stop beating quickly because of fright.
Liu Ku then opened the gate. His manner was too relaxed, as if he was sure that this headquarters was really deserted. And indeed. When they went inside, they found no one.
"See? What I say is being proven to be right? I was going out through this main entrance, you know! Usually there are many guards passing by here," said Liu Ku.
"Sssh! Be quiet! I hear something!"
Everyone immediately got tensioned as Xiong warned. They knew blind people have more sensitive hearing than normal people. Keeping silent, they squared off again.
The wind was blowing on the roof, it now made that rattling sound.
"I told you, no one is here right now!" Liu Ku growled in annoyance. "You have wasted so much time! Come on, let's go! We don't know when Xie Wang comes back! If you stop bit by bit, it is even more vulnerable to be caught!"
This intruders' group consisting of fourteen people then continued their steps.
The outer appearance of Xie Wang's headquarters was not so flashy, but the interior turned out to be consisting of winding roads and lots of chambers which were arranged carelessly. They were seemingly entering a plebeian alley whose houses were overlapping here and there. Luckily, there was Liu Ku leading the way. Even if Zhu Su managed to escape from prison before, he was not sure whether he could find a way to get out of here or not. Even more, the path they took was too complicated. Not only beautiful and neat corridors that they passed through, they also had to step over rocky footpaths whose edges had been slightly destroyed and hollowed. They should be very careful in order not to slip and fall down. And strange, they still did not meet with any other people.
"Maybe Xie Wang has taken with him all of his soldiers to fight against central government army?" Han Zhong guessed.
"But he doesn't take this kid?" Wu Qi chimed in. "Maybe Xie Wang already knows he has a tendency to be a traitor?"
"Don't call me kid. I have a name, anyway!" Liu Ku said rudely.
"Then, who is your name, Kid?"
"I am Liu Ku. My surname is Liu, and my name is Ku. Not Kid!" Liu Ku replied rudely for the second time. This time, he stopped. In front of an iron trellis door. He took a key from his pocket, then unlocked the door.
A musty, nauseating odor immediately burst out. Everyone spontaneously closed their noses. Hu Nayin even almost vomited. Zhu Su suddenly remembered the odor he ever smelled while he was still imprisoned.
"The antidote is in here. We have to get inside to get it." Not appearing nauseous at all, Liu Ku went inwards firmly.
Nobody followed him. Liu Ku turned his head back, confusing. "What's wrong? Come in."
"Yikes... it smells so suck! We can't enter!"
"Oh yeah... This is an odor specifically designed to defeat the enemy. You will be poisoned if you go inside," Liu Ku thought. "Well then! I'll take the antidote by myself. You just wait here." Then Liu Ku went inwards.
