At 6, she skipped a grade and was renowned as a gifted student. At 10, she learned of all the suffering in the world and made it her mission to write a story which would record it. At 11, she was reading at a college level.
At 13, he suffered from multiple mental disorders, had no goal in life, laid in his bed all day, and was reduced to waiting for the day he took his last breath.
Over the last year and a half, there were so many joys, but so many sorrows. What appeared to be blessings turned out to be curses, and what appeared to be curses turned out to be blessings.
But Eli was tired. He was sick of everything. When did this all happen? he thought. Why? Why must've it happened?
He closed his eyes, desperate to find any answers. Every day felt like a chore, and the life that so many praised seemed more like a hell. What exactly happened? How did I turn out so wrong?
Perhaps his way of reflection could work. Perhaps it wouldn't and would only put pressure on him. But Eli had to try. He had to try for him.
