"What! Did you say we're being attacked!" Boom yelled across the room, at Sergeant Major Bob, who he had met with before the school tournament months ago.
"I'm afraid so, sir," he said with disapproval.
They were in a private and soundproof room at the stadium, Jamal's fight finishing only a few hours ago. It was getting dark, and the sun almost out of view, when a dark carriage reserved for the military had arrived in front of Boom as he was going to go sleep at the trainer's quarters. Bob's head was through the window as he announced an emergency and he needed to be there. That's when once they were inside with a few other generals and officials was he told the news.
"When was this? And who?" Boom asked.
"Well, we were receiving reports of some type of insurgency or fighting happening inside of Saputa, and it turns out it isn't just one nation, but a collaborative group of them."
Boom smashed his hands on the table, causing it to shake and cursed out loud. How did they let this happen?
"How did no one see this coming, at all? This is ridiculous. Please tell me we can handle this."
Sighing, the Major looked him in the eyes. Boom can already sense what he was about to say.
"As of right now, we're losing. We are trying to mobilize as much of our army as we can, and they'll be passing through in the next few days. Lucky for us, is the nearest fighting is only sixty miles away from us."
"Sixty miles away! There shouldn't be any miles near here, especially with a tournament going on from all these nations. What are these people going to do when the news breaks out?"
"We'll just have to move them to the capital, and hope that our army can take them on."
"What do you mean to take them on? We have one of the most well-trained armies in the world! What problem will be there?"
The Major gulped before replying, "They have these, machines, that the world has never seen before. Fortunately, someone was able to take a photo of one them that I have on me."
He fumbled something out of his pocket, finally getting it out and placing it on the table. It was a grainy picture of a strange object with a long tube connected it, with wheels as well, allowing for it to move it seemed.
"So, can we combat this or what? Like anything all?" Boom questioned.
"Well, that's where you come in. We need our most powerful fighters on the planet right now, and you and the rest of y'all are the only one's available. There's also more creations we believe that they have acquired, but they are unknown at this moment. You might be our last hope, for real."
"When will you guys need me?" he asked seriously.
"When they become a threat the army cannot handle. That's when you and the Supers come in and hopefully put an end to this. I'm sorry to tell you all of this, but time is running short, and the scenario where you guys come in is becoming more and more likely."
Boom sighed. After all these years, the nation is finally being threatened by something they've never seen before.
"Can you at least tell me the leader of this cause, before I go." he chimed one last time.
"Our sources have told us that it's mostly from Youd-" he began to announce.
"No more of this. Thank you for your time, and just let me know when you guys are ready. I'm going to finish this for real, once and for all."
With that, Boom walked passed them and and out the door, everyone inside shocked. Saputa would have to do whatever it takes, if they wanted their sovereignty to still exist, and at the moment, it looked like it would be fading away into the history books.
