"Whoa! I literally just got here! Can I like, sit down?" Jamal yelped as he barely dodged Hops' kick.
He watched as it made a big dent in the wall. Was the wall made out of steel too? Oh no, I'm definitely not doing this, he thought, until he saw Fonda rush at him with a dagger. He was moving left and right and as unpredictable as possible to avoid getting sliced. In the corner of his eye, he was able to see Ula whispering something in the back, and it appeared as if the light in the room was going into her. He heard a roar behind him and dropped to the floor as Brat was in a form of a bear and attempted to pounce atop of him.
"Alright, it's mine turn. Have at it!" Jamal exclaimed, remembering the feeling of his entire right arm on fire. It lit up and the other fighters backed up a bit. He started firing fireballs at them in rapid succession, with them barely dodging it. But he noticed that they were covering Ula in the process. It's probably something powerful that needs to be charged up and could finish me in one go. He took a deep breath and started running towards her.
"Guys, he going for Ula, protect her!" Fonda yelled.
The fighters got into some type of formation as they watched him rush. Here goes nothing, he said. Remembering how the fire felt on his right arm, nice and comforting, and now he attempted to do the same on the left. Having two arms on fire, he didn't think would be possible, but then if he could do it, he would be twice as strong. He felt a light burning sensation in his left arm and looked at it attempting to spark. Come on Jamal, I don't have time for this, he thought.
"Get out of the way, I'm about to end it now." Ula said quietly.
"You heard her, move!" Fonda shouted as they scattered.
"This is the end. You'll never be like us and won't belong too." Ula stated with softness.
All of a sudden, all the darkness that was being absorbed by her, was fired at Jamal. Its wrath was approaching him at a rapid speed and he didn't have time to not be able to have both his arms on fire. It was now or never. Jamal tried to remember the feeling of the heat. Remember the comfort, remember the feeling, the pleasure of its heat protecting me. Suddenly it felt a bit hotter to him, and he opened his eyes to see both of his arms of fire. What power was he hiding, or did he really not know he could do this the entire time? But he didn't have time to think, cause he started to get surrounded by darkness. He aimed both arms through it and fired as much as he could. He didn't know if it would hit her or even get through it at all. All of a sudden, he felt a sharp sting on his leg. He looked down as he saw the darkness begin to cut him. Ok, so her power must have to do with the manipulation of light or darkness and making it a solid or something of that sorts. But I can't be thinking about it, I need to get out of it, he knew. But wait, what if I use the darkness to my advantage? He could still hear perfectly even inside of it, as he heard Fonda ask Ula to move the darkness so see could see what he was thinking about. Did her powers require her to see the person in order to view their thoughts? Well now, he had a plan, and if it worked, then they wouldn't be paying attention from above them.
"Alright, move it now. He should be done. No one has stood in your darkness that long and come out fine. That's going be several days of healing right there. I want to see his thoughts of him asking for mercy." Fonda snickered at the end. She couldn't wait to see his face and not underestimate them.
But when the darkness cleared, he wasn't there. Where did he go, she thought, wasn't he just inside that?
"Look above, he's coming for us!" Brat yelled in surprise. They looked up as they saw Jamal's bloodied legs from the sharped darkness, even though it looked like he didn't even notice. But his arms, wasn't only one of them able to be on fire, cause now both of them were. They ran as he started shooting fireballs at them, but in surprise Brat got hit and he yelped in pain as his clothes lit on fire. Ula tried to cover them up in darkness, but he keep firing on Brat forcing her to be unable to cover him in protection. Fonda was able to avoid being seen behind him and threw her dagger at him, but at the last second grabbed it as he landed back on the ground. She watched in surprise as he melted it in seconds and let the puddle of molten metal stay on the ground. Then he turned around and looked at Hops.
"So, it's just me and you now. I ain't afraid of no fire, so don't get your hopes up. I'm stronger than you think, so don't underestimate me." Hops said with a smile and spat at him.
"Oh yea, you're gonna pay now!" Jamal charged at him at full speed, figuring out that if he concentrated his fire properly and hard enough he could propel himself in the air or help him move faster. Hops, with his legs, rushed at him with a similar speed, turned around and prepared to kick at an incredible one too. Jamal crouched down, and before Hops could fix his position, got jabbed in his stomach, by Jamal. It launched him into the wall behind him and a loud boom occurred. Hops felt blood in his mouth and was even shocked. There's no way he could do that much with one punch, what is he, Hops thought.
"And this is for disrespecting me, you won't be hopping around after this." Jamal cruelly stated to him and Hops closed his eyes waiting for the punch. But he only felt a slight breeze as Boom was in front on him, preventing Jamal from punching him.
"That's enough for the day. I see you've figured out that you could light both your arms now." Boom told Jamal. "I just came back and I seen you've taken out the others who've been here training before you. We'll have a lot to discuss in the morning. If all of you guys lost to Jamal like this with training, them we won't be able to take out Youden earlier then I've wanted to. But we need you all to be ready, so with the final person here, let the real training begin."
