"Yes... I mean no, what I mean is that how can I know if you need my help and so do the other two." he tried to justify himself.
"Yes, yes your Majesty. You can be moody then you can skip your meals and talk bad about others and you want me to approach you and ask you to do something for me. No, thanks. You know what, Bo-Gum came to me this morning and ask if I need any help with the preparations. I just think it is my children who are unethical. I don't need your help. My daughter and I will manage everything." Jung-Nan was in a full sassy mood while Dong-Hoon was bewildered at her outburst.
On the other hand, Se-Young could not control anymore and ended up snickering and Dong-Hoon widened his eyes looking at her. "You... how dare you." he was totally offended by her and his face was fuming red, not in anger but in embarrassment.
"Excuse me, how dare you point your finger at my Se-Young." Jung-Nan slapped his upper arm and Dong-Hoon gave her a 'really' look.
"You guys yourself said that a chef can't be a part of our family. You did not directly say that to me but you guys meant that. But now you have considered her as your daughter. Is this even fair? Looking at her face all the time in this house makes my blood boil in anger." he scoffed, turning his gaze away from his mother.
Jung-Nan could not say anything anymore. She did not know he felt this way while Se-Young was utterly confused. Although he was hurt but he did not have any right to say harsh words to her.
Then he just left the living room while Jung-Nan pinched her nose bridge. She exhaled deeply. "Don't mind him, he will be back to normal in a few days." she said and also left from there.
"He wanted to be a chef... but still he has no rights to be so cocky." she was sulking to herself, scrunching her nose.
...
It was Thursday, the day before the wedding.
"Bo-Mi wants chocolate pudding, please Donggie is not home." Bo-Mi was showing her puppy eyes to Jung-Nan, who was currently on the phone with the decorator.
"Please hold on a second... Bo-Mi my dear, I am busy right now. Just wait a minute then we will make the pudding together." Jung-Nan gave her a sorry look while Bo-Mi sulked more.
"How about me, I can make you a delicious chocolate pudding. Aunty is busy right now hmmm." Se-Young who just came back from the hotel asked the little girl.
Bo-Mi was hesitating as Dong-Hoon had clearly refused her to even talk with Se-Young but when she looked at Jung-Nan who was nodding her head, Bo-Mi smiled and went to Se-Young immediately.
Se-Young picked up Bo-Mi and took her to the kitchen and made her sit onto the kitchen counter. "So little princess, just wait and watch. You will be able to eat the world's best chocolate pudding in few minutes." she winked at Bo-Mi.
"No, Donggie makes the best pudding. Even my mommy cannot make tasty puddings like him." little Bo-Mi said, flexing her favorite cousin's skills.
Se-Young raised her eyebrows and smirked. "Is that so, then we will decide it after you take a bite of my creation." Se-Young said narcissistically, perfectly knowing that she is the master of desserts.
After some time, she got the pudding out of the refrigerator and placed it beside Bo-Mi. "So, you want to eat it here or in the dining area." Se-Young asked her.
"Here." Bo-Mi said and turn herself to her right where Se-Young kept the pudding, sitting cross-legged onto the kitchen counter while Se-Young handed her a spoon.
She dug the spoon into the pudding and took a delicious bite and her expressions before taking the bite were like a master chef judge but after tasting the pudding her mind was blown while Se-Young smiled at her shocked expressions. "Did not I tell you hmm." She proudly flipped her hair.
Bo-Mi gave her a thumbs up. "Your pudding is the best." the little girl was utterly impressed.
"Better than your Donggie's hmmm." Se-Young gave the little one a sheepish smile. Bo-Mi hesitated but nodded her head slightly.
"Please.... don't tell this to Donggie." she showed her puppy eyes and Se-Young melted at that instant. "Awwwwww, so cute. Don't worry I will not tell your Donggie. It will be our little secret." she pinched her cheeks with adoration.
"Promise?" Bo-Mi showed her pinky and Se-Young slightly laugh and locked her pinky with Bo-Mi's.
Her cheeks were puffed up with the pudding in her mouth. "Ughhhhhhh, why are you so cute." Se-Young squealed feeling all giddy.
"aam not coot, aam bootifol." Bo-Mi said her mouth still filled with the pudding.
When Se-Young understood what she said, she started to laugh her heart out. "Yeah, yeah you are not cute." she ruffled Bo-Mi's baby cut hair.
"Ummmm, what should I call you?" Bo-Mi gulped the pudding and asked out of nowhere as Se-Young fluttered her lashes in confusion. "Ummm... aa-ha-ha... yeah whatever you like." she scratched the back of her neck.
"Ummmm... let me think... what about Youngie?" Se-Young burst out laughing at how she called her Youngie in the baby voice.
"Done, then I am Youngie from now on." Bo-Mi nodded with satisfaction and kept munching on the pudding.
...
"You have already apologized... how many times are you going to apologize again... I understand that your mother-in-law's health is not good, I am not complaining... but you sent Bo-Gum and Bo-Mi instead to join the wedding... no, no, Bo-Mi is not troubling anyone, she is almost seven, don't worry... now I am getting angry, I told you it is fine then why are you not getting it. If you say sorry one more time then I will hang up, I am telling you." Jung-Nan was talking to her brother who was currently in Japan as his mother-in-law was ill.
