Chereads / I am Kryptonian / Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Orbiting around the moon in a large metal ship. A man with greyish hair that reached around the base of his neck. His blue eyes peered down at the Earth as two men kneel to him reporting the situation. The two were naturally the bodyguards sent to retrieve Lala but were sent away by Jason.

"Kryptonian?" The man frowned as it was an unfamiliar race to him. Walking over to the terminal he quickly typed it in only for a small file to appear.

"Kryptonian, a native of Krypton that was known for being fierce warriors in the past before becoming known for their advanced technology. For reasons unknown, Krypton was destroyed between 30 and 60 billion years ago. There is no other known knowledge about them besides they were humanoids."

"It is rumored that Viltrumite evolved from them but no solid evidence has been found."

The man frowned before looking at the two. "Are you sure this is what he said?"

"Yes, Zastin." The blonde guard replied.

"I will investigate this myself before reporting it to the King." Zastin said after a few moments of thought.

It was the next morning when Jason woke up. Arriving in the kitching and dining room he saw someone happily cooking. A woman with black hair falling to her shoulders in a red shirt and black pants humming a song.

"Morning Liz." Jason greeted as he took a seat.

"Morning Sleepyhead. Breakfast should be done in a couple minutes." She responded happily.

"Where's Dad?" Jason asked as he didn't see a muscular frame anywhere. Usually when it comes to Liz, his father usually stuck to her like glue.

"Off sorting out Lala's identity." Liz commented lightly.

Just nodding as she was no stranger to his or his father's powers. Both Father and Son tend to use them frequently in their daily lives. So it wasn't a big shock they were discovered by her a year or so in when she started dating James.

'I guess seeing a father and son uprooting a dying tree for firewood would be kind of shocking.' Jason thought.

While the house didn't have a fireplace, it wasn't strange for them to have a campfire or bonfire. Most often than not, they usually cook their meals that way during summer, so they can make smores. Yeah, the two kryptonians have a major sweet tooth since neither two will gain a single ounce from eating large amounts of sweets.

"So how has it been at work?" Jason changed the topic.

Liz worked as a night manager in the town supermarket and has been busy lately. Recently her store higher ups decided to change some jobs around. Which forced the store to make some cuts with their management teams. Only it backfired very badly as the store removed those that worked and held all the knowledge and kept the slackers.

'Sounds like there were quite a few that were bending over the desk and getting on their knees.' Jason thought back to when Liz came ranting about the picks who stayed and who left. She tried to object but in the end she was outvoted.

"It wasn't too bad. The new guy quit at lunch though. Apparently he couldn't understand that being on the night shift ment sleeping through the day." Liz commented lightly. Truthfully she isn't allowed to tell much more than this. "So how is your latest order coming along?"

The latest order was of course the Sakura outfits he was meant to work on yesterday. Only he didn't get around to it, due to Lala's sudden appearance. Luckily it was a simple design for all three and could be completed if he worked through most of the night.

"They should be ready to ship tomorrow."

"I don't understand some people who spend a couple hundred on these outfits they will only wear a couple times." Liz shook her head.

"From a message, it seems the husband and wife pair are fans of the series. So he asked for it to be a bit more durable and easy to take off "in the bedroom"." Jason shrugged as he had gotten a couple of these orders before.

"Oh," a small laugh escaped her lips.

--

After chatting some while they ate, Jason headed off to school. Whitefalls High where the school sports team sucks as they haven't won a game in five years. Well besides football as they won just last week.

"Mr. Duke. Come to my office." a loud booming voice filled the mostly empty hall.

The source was a fairly large woman who wore enough makeup to fill a store and a permanent scowl. She was Karen the vice principal and the next principal after the current one retires at the end of the year.

A slight sigh escaped his lips as he looked up at the ceiling. He wonders what he did now to catch her attention. Last time, it was when Todd and his goons tossed him into the locker room shower soaking him head to toes. Before that was when they dropped buckets of mud onto him.

Yet despite all this, Todd hasn't gotten in trouble. Instead it somehow became his fault for all of them. The main cause was her husband was arrested a couple years ago by his father and she held a grudge against both of them.

Inside, a familiar pink-haired girl was sitting there with a beautiful smile that only made Karan glare harder. Wearing a yellow top with flowers lining the seams and blue jeans. Lala appeared to be in a good mood as she held up her schedule.

"Take her and show her around." Karen growled out at him. "Don't forget to tell her the school rules while you're at it."

Leaving the office, Jason looked over at Lala confused. "Is there a reason you decided to go to school?"

"Your father recommended it. He said it would give me a chance to learn about Earth while getting to know you." Lala smiled as she stretched her arms out. "He also mentioned to give you a friend while you're here."

'Ah, there's the true reason.' Jason thought.

"Well, let's begin the tour. Let me see your schedule." Jason said as he scanned her classes. Besides the few core classes that were different due to them being in different grades. The rest of their classes matched.

"Let the tour begin." Jason motioned as Lala linked her arms with his.
