Synopsis

Aux 1

This book with through many drafts until it was written and even so. The book is not yet complete. It looks pretty ok unedited.

In the old drafts, the story had no plot and focused mainly on Aleigha and Mokiri, who at the time of the draft was just Wyleisha. The first chapters explained the Blood Market while in this Webnovel version, the character and plot is explained more.

One of the first drafts spoke on Wyleisha purely. Wyleisha was showing what the Department did to vampires as a child. Here is a snippet.

Chapter 5

[Flashback]

Ciarlo Club Avenue

The dripping of the pipes fit the soundless music in her head. Depression was a good description. Let's try and make a poem?

I put all my wishes in a wishing well

Because your touch was so unkind

It made me want to hide

I used to wait to hear that wedding bell

Such music to my ears

I put all my wishes in a wishing well

I couldn't wait to see you, dear, though, you told me you were always near

Then you asked a strange question, 'Have you ever wanted to be a blood cell?'

I could have protested, maybe even digested

But every thought I had, every dream I kept, made you mad

I gave up all my wells

Just to get molested.

"Why I so depressed?" She asked herself. "Because you're in the basement about to die, friend," She answered herself. "Who are you?" the child asked herself again. And again, rightly so, she answered her question. "I don't have a name?"

"Well, I'll give you a name. I'll call you Wyleisha."

"Wyleisha?" Of course, the name sounded terrible. "What's the meaning of that?"

"It doesn't have one." She answered, "You don't have meaning. So, you don't get to have a name with a definition."

"That's not fair," Wyleisha said. "I have a purpose. I used to live in a big house with pictures on the wall of famous people."

"No, no, no—You are confused and have fallen down a well. You stupid, stupid girl."

"Where are you from?" asked Wyleisha. "Wonderland. We're all mad down here..."

"Sounds crazy..."

Clattered echoed from upstairs. Wyleisha hugged her knees in the corner of the darkness. There's nothing up there. It could be a jabberwocky, but that's nonsense because jabberwockies are nice and they sing. "What's your name?"

"My name? Well, I'm just... a happy bat!"

"A Bat?" she smiled letting go of her knees. "Like that man in the corner?"

In the dark shores, a beast covered in a white sheet clawed at his bars. "I'm kind of like him but the hatter is a drinker and I don't drink."

"You still haven't told me your name."

"Oh, I lose a thought in a second because my brain spins. My name is Mokiri."

Chapter 5 comes from one of the drafts of The Waorshippers. At first, the book was called The With.

With: accompanied by (another person or thing)

possessing (something) as a feature or accompaniment.

Aleigha was an Anti-Hero. That slowly became a villain. Wyleisha is based on moments in my own childhood.

In the drafts, Wyleisha was written in a rape scene. The rapist being Aleigha's father who was a Maul in the ghetto. He came from the biggest vampire clan, The She clan.

One of Aleigha's motives was getting the Brawn (rich part of Virginia) back for conditioning and tormenting her.

Wyleisha doesn't remember Aleigha being her boyfriend. She doesn't even realize she herself is a vampire. More about this will be spoken of as the story progresses.
