Holly watched as her crush ran by, her wavy blonde hair flowing in the air as she ran, giggling while her boyfriend chased her. Holly adored her friend Kassie, so much so... she had a crush on her. Kassie, Josh and Holly had been friends since the start of highschool. Kassie and Josh had known eachother since they were in diapers, they saw Holly lonely and became friends with her. Even with all the rumours about Holly's parents they never left her side. But as Kassie and Josh started to get closer, Holly started to feel jealous, Josh was stealing her girl. Holly never admitted she liked Kassie, she was too scared of ruining her friendship. She never knew if Kassie was gay, bi or of the LGBTQ+ community, but then she started dating Josh. Holly knew her chances with Kassie were gone. Even with Kassie dating Josh, Holly's crush wouldn't go away. Holly couldn't get her grey eyes and her freckled cheeks out her head. Kassie was like a drug to her, she was addicted to Kassie.
"Hey!? Holly?" Josh spoke as he snapped his fingers in front of her face. Holly snapped out of her daze, "huh? Sorry... what's up Josh? Done with your chase game with Kas?" She asked as red started to tint her pale cheeks. He chuckled, "Yeah, we are going to go ditch 5th period, wanna join?" He asked chilled and relaxed as always. "Sorry I can't, I have a test, another time. Have fun with Kas, use protection!" She joked as he playfully smacked her. Holly got up and started to walk to her class, she couldn't take this crush for much longer. Kassie was all she thought about, but she could never have her. Hollys parents would disown her and Kassie is straight. What could she do? Holly hugged her book tighter to her chest as tears started to prick her eyes. Holly was taken out of her thoughts as she was shoved to the ground. "Freak!" The jock yelled as he walked off with his gang laughing. Holly whipped the tears from her eyes as she picked up her books from the disgusting floor. She was used to this type of behaviour, due to her parents she had gotten the wrath of highschool kids. Holly didn't know why Kassie and Josh were friends with her. Who wants to be friends with a girl who has crazy homophobic parents? But she was greatful for them. Which is why she knew she had to keep her sexuality hidden from them. It would ruin everything.
