There's no wind blowing at the moment, the sun was rising high and the heat between the two forces in this cliff clashed together. I can't do anything but leave this all to my brother who's now having a conversation with the dwarves' former king, Dwighn.
"You and your delusions." Finn grinned. "The Dark Ruler's already dead. Is it hard to admit that the humans you looked down to, outpowered you?"
To deny or to provoke? I don't know which one?
"Playing dumb huh?"
"I'm not really. Actually, I'm baffled at how idiotic you are to still believe of that." he chuckled as he said it.
"Oh yeah. Then how come you are still here? Surely you wouldn't stay here just to keep an eye on us."
"BZZZT!" Fin made a buzzer sound as he made an x with his pointing fingers. "We are dummies. We need to make sure that you wouldn't do any trouble in this world. Or rather than make sure, to prevent because I'm sure that you will do give this world a big problem. And while we're on that note, aren't there supposed to be seven of you guys?"
"You really is an annoyance, Finn? Was my question really that—"
"Wait!" Finn shouted. "I never considered that possibility. But..." his gaze is so intense as if it's piercing Dwighn. "...Is the Dark Ruler really alive?" he said as he gasped to make a one-step-back maneuver.
Ms. Hera and Siege were backing Finn by showing surprised faces and covering their wide-open mouths. Are they making a comedy skit?
Finn kept on giving me his signals. I nodded.
I placed my hand in front of me. The fairy dust surrounded them.
"BOOOM!!"
The place had been blown up. I stared back at Finn.
He put his hand in the back of his head and scratch it.
"Why?!" I yelled.
"I want you to follow us. It's our strategy. The best way for a team to succeed is to work together. Learn to cooperate with your teammate.
"But it just looks like—"
"Come on Finn don't be harsh on her, she's a complete amateur to this thing."
Amateur?!
Finn stopped scratching his head.
"I guess I shouldn't expect too much on an amateur."
Ms. Hera approached me. "Don't feel bad, you did great, for an amateur." She said with a smile o her face.
I can feel the tears building up, making my eyelids heavy and my eyesight blurry.
There acting is the one for an amateur, right?
While I'm on the verge of crying. Siege noticed something.
"I have a bad feeling about this." He muttered as he looked at the enemies.
Even though we're in a forest surrounded by brown dry leaves, a fire didn't break-in.
Ms. Hera but her hand away from me into the handle of her sword. Finn uses some small explosions to make the smoke disperse. But every spark it creates seems like it's being sucked by something. The smoke descended revealing a ball of fire with scowling eyes hiding behind it.
The three are just standing there unharmed.
The ball of fire began charging towards us. Siege dashed forward, he launched his shield into the air and swing his spear full strength.
Siege let out a loud cry making both the spear and the shield shine. When the spear hit the shield, a loud bang of a gong sounded blowing the surroundings and some of the balls of flames disappear.
"That was a nice trick. It made my ear ring a little." The Kapre said as he used his pinky finger to clean his ear.
He then, crack his finger.
"Well, if they really don't know then it should be okay if we destroy them right now. It's much easier finding the Dark Ruler without them roaming around."
The Kapre suggested.
"Banawag's right. Letting them go would pose a big threat to finding the Dark Ruler." Gial said in agreement.
Then he dwells his sword but stopped the moment he laid his eyes in our direction.
Finn and Ms. Hera disappeared from their previous position.
BOOM!
I guess this is the right time for me to do this.
Earlier while they were conversing I was producing fairy dust in the ground. So the moment someone step on it, I could immediately create an explosion.
The explosion created a smokescreen so Ms. Hera take advantage of it. She emerged from the forest behind them.
Ms. Hera goes head to head with the kapre. She swing her sword to the kapre, the kapre fought back by throwing his fist at Ms. Hera.
Upon the impact, the kapre's fist had been swayed away then from left to right. She aims for the kapre's stomach next that sent him flying back.
"What happened?!" The kapre that still can't believe how she throw him away from said that.
But that wasn't enough for her, she chases the kapre. Every strike of Ms. Hera's sword does the kapre can't do anything but to defend. His tough skin was the only thing saving him from miss Hera's blows.
Ms. Hera's purple eyes glow with traces of line in every move. Her eyes match her expression that is full of killing intent.
This surprises me. Earlier his palm was enough to block Ms. Hera's sword and his kick sent her flying. But right now, aside from his durability, his strength definitely went down.
"Banawag!" The tikbalang reacted upon seeing his comrade being at a disadvantage.
But the dust around him is shinning as if to warn him not to take any step. The field right now was full of landmine after all the fairy dust I sprinkle all over the place. Maybe I can't fully control its strength, but I know I can hit the right target.
The only one who probably can freely move was Dwighn the dwarf whose on the forest. But Finn approaches him.
He get a lighter in his pocket and lit it up.
"Now then, you should cast a spell or two, or I'll incinerate you!" The image of a prince vanished from Finn with that smug on his Face.
He holds the fire in the lighter with his right hand. And his whole arm turns into a flame.
Dwighn responded with a laugh.
"Let's see!" he said.
He commanded the undeads on his back to attack. They started charging into us.
Finn sighed and said;
"Well, I think cremating you was the best thing I can give for now."
Finn said then he wave his hand forward setting all of the attacking undead on fire. A strong fire burns their body, turning all of them to ash.
When the fire went out, hundred of icicles appeared on their back.
"I figured you would at least cast an advance spell. But right now I don't have to worry about mana deficiency. Don't you think that spell was far too weak?"
The icicles that headed towards Finn had been covered by fairy dust one by one. He waited for it to stop before he make it explode.
While they were doing that showdown, the tikbalang suddenly leap towards Siege. He was probably trying to take Siege as a hostage, he thinks that I won't create an explosion near one of my comrades.
"Dodge!" I yell at Siege.
But instead of dodging Siege take him on.
He throws his spear towards the tikbalang and since he's mid-air, it's hard for him to dodge.
The tikbalang blocks the spear with his sword. But he didn't notice that Siege jump. Siege strikes him with his shield in the stomach making him flinch. He was planning to strike Siege back but he pushes him away.
I create an explosion where the tikbalang landed and he was caught in it.
"That'll teach you!" Siege said.
"You shouldn't brag about it, especially when I'm the one who deals with a lot of damage."
Siege's facial expression was like saying 'who's the one bragging here.'
But I just ignore him and look back to the tikbalang.
He's now back on his feet but that's not what's bothering me. His expression was as still composed as before. It's like nothing happened.
"Hey, why aren't you furious. Usually, you should rages and attack us after what we did to you."
The tikbalang ignore me and turn his attention to Finn and Dwighn.
How dare he underestimate us.
I wanted to teach him a lesson but I decided to look at Finn and the dwarf too. My eyes widen after seeing what's happening there.
The two rings on his hand glow.
Dwighn cast a spell. A huge wave of magma rages towards us.
"Now Finn! Make me more impress!" his provocation on Finn.
Finn was just standing there. He makes his left hand ice but the fire in his right hand vanish.
I wanted to yell 'Finn!' but I'm so interested in what's he going to do.
He spread his hand like an eagle until it suddenly became invisible. It's not completely invisible, there's still an outline of his arm.
To be more precise it transforms into the air.
He clapped the widespread arms.
A gale blows that made my hair flow everywhere.
The wind surrounding us becomes so cold that it even freezes some of the leaves around us. The cold wind headed towards the wave of magma.
The magma and the blizzard clashed, the impact created a strong breeze making the dry leaves fly into the air and even take down some of the trees.
The result of the clash, cleaning the surrounding, but that's not what mesmerized us.
The magma solidified, creating a beautiful landform.
Even the beast, called Ms. Hera stopped to see the form of the solidified magma.
"You really know how to perform marvelously with that blessing of yours. Just like your father."
Dwighn said while flying to the top of the land formation.
"Sorry but your compliment won't change your verdict. Now, grit your teeth!"
Finn's hand turn back to normal then he grabbed the rock on the ground.
He'll probably turn his arm to stone but an unexpected turn of events happen.
A scream came from the direction where Ms. Hera is, reverberating in the forest.
"Ate!" Siege shouted.
A smoke was covering around Ms. Hera.
Siege headed to Ms. Hera but for some reason, he hesitated to go inside the smoke. The kapre that's fighting against Ms. Hera was already up there where Dwighn is. And he's already smoking a cigar.
"This hurts! I didn't know what you did! But it's been a while since I've been hurt like this, so well done!" He said then laugh.
He probably use what happened earlier to get enough time to light his cigar.
"Luna create an explosion that's just enough to knock Hera unconscious."
I can tell where she is by the use of the fairy dust around her. I followed Finn's order and knock Ms. Hera out.
But by the time that I did that the tikbalang run away towards his comrades.
I was still trying to get him by an explosion. But his speed was much faster now that my explosions can't keep up.
"Don't waste your mana anymore!" Finn shouted to me.
I stop creating explosions and let the tikbalang go then he jumps to the top of the rock formation.
I'm frustrated but I resisted it and trust Finn's judgment.
Now I understand, that tikbalang just wants to find out our capabilities. He's not really serious about fighting us.
"We'll wait until the smoke run out before making a move! For now, focus on defense!"
"Sorry, but we can't wait that long. Farewell. Say hello to your father for me okay."
While Finn was ordering us. Dwighn interfere and said that.
"You're really confident that you can finish us huh."
"Indeed I am, considering your sympathetic feelings for the human race." Dwighn confidently said.
Sympathetic feelings for the human race? Don't tell me!
Five of the rings he has, glowed. He held those fingers to one of his necklaces.
Finn was just standing there with a surprised expression.
If what I'm thinking was correct, with Finn's current state, we're all gonna die here.
It's up to me to do something about this.
"Portal!"
A crack from the sky appeared and slowly widens.
Upon opening the portal from above us, some creatures peaked from it.
Not just Finn, but Siege also froze while staring at the sky.
Hundreds of them dropped like rain while screaming in happiness.
I put both of my hands in front of me, open palms.
All of the dust I produced overshadowed their darkness.
It all flashes in my eyes as my dust touches them. Their fear, sadness, every emotion, dreams, and regrets they're feeling. It's like answering the question, what would happen if they didn't suffer such fate?
I lost my balance, and as my body falls my brother dashed to catch me.
"What did you do?" He asked.
His eyes suddenly widens as he saw my face. He grits his teeth.
"Damn it! Siege! Force yourself and get your sister, we're gonna get out of here."
Siege follow my brother's order.
This situation told me, how weak I am and how weaker humans are.
