Chereads / Master Pearls / Chapter 37 - Apprentice

Chapter 37 - Apprentice

Sitting in the middle of the room, Rada closed his eyes. Thought after thought, his mind was like a small boat at the mercy of a stormy sea. A myriad of emotions ran through him at the same time. Anticipation for the future, frustration because of the pearl, homesickness.

It took a long time for him to awaken, from that state of total confusion.

"Shit! What the hell am I doing!?"

He continually shook his head until he was almost nauseous, but at the same time he felt much lighter.

He let out a long sigh.

"Despite the total oddities of this world, one thing is certain, in my current state I will not end well..." he spoke aloud, almost as if to admonish himself.

The story with Alcas was by no means over, in all likelihood, big problems would arise in the village trial.

He thought of all his likely enemies, especially the giant wolf that almost devoured him. The wound on his back, long since healed, burned as if it had been inflicted on him for a few seconds.

"It's only me..."

This thought, repeatedly presented itself in his mind, in this new world, completely different from his own.

Rada was alone.

Initially, despondency took over, however, moments later, an insurmountable anger took over.

Survive! Sell your skin dearly!

Fundamental words, which were impressed upon him by the master of his world.

The survival instinct was present in every living being, whatever world he was in.

In Jkd this point was at the base of every practice.

And Rada fixed it in his mind in focus. On several occasions his developed survival instincts saved his life.

Since he awakened in the world of Aurora, his instincts developed further due to the deadly situations he found himself in.

"Meditate? I'm in no condition to do so."

He clenched his fists tightly, everything he had learned over the years in his world resurfacing in his mind.

He approached the wall.

Straight Blast!

A frenzied, tight series of punches slammed violently into the wall, each punch echoing through the room like thunder.

After a while though, he stopped in amazement. He had no signs of bruising on his knuckles, his breathing was not at all irregular, and he did not feel tired at all.

In training, whenever he didn't feel pain, it meant he could do more, that was the signal for any practitioner of any discipline.

Rada was in seventh heaven, generally the intensity of the punches he was giving, were at the limit of his strength when he was in his world. But at that moment, she felt her body bursting with energy. Without wasting any more time, he set to work again.

He increased the intensity, he also increased the duration of each discharge, the entire room vibrated with each blow. Caught up in the frenzy of the moment, he didn't stop. The more he pushed forward, the more his body didn't stop, this made him even more curious, wondering where the limit was.

With the slow, but inexorable passing of time, Rada felt his body as if burning. He removed his shirt from the excessive heat, drops of sweat overflowing from her well-defined features. Steam leaked from his body slightly flushed from the movement he made.

"This feeling..."

He sensed that something was about to happen, he had no clear idea what was going on, however it was not an unpleasant feeling. On the contrary, it was like a volcano waiting to erupt.

Determined not to stop, he continued to storm the wall, this time together with his fists he added elbows and knees. Everything continued until he completed those sequences of moves that were usual in his routine.

He pushed himself to the limits of his body. Slowly, he could feel the heat of his body increase, a sort of aura of a pale blue began to focus.

Pain, began to be felt in his knuckles and elbows, because of it, but he didn't notice the changes around him. He was completely focused on executing each blow with extreme precision, at the same time not getting carried away with the movement itself.

His spirit gathered around him with extreme vigor. There was no meditation, no calm or stillness. It was an indomitable spirit, made of combativeness and resolve.

Suddenly, he felt it was time to push himself even further, it was time to explode.

"Now!"

With a shout that almost sounded like a roar, Rada gave his final series of blows, which hurled themselves with enormous violence against the wall.

BUM!

He heard an explosion in his mind.

The explosion came directly from his spirit, which had ascended to the rank of Apprentice, but he could not know that. The aura emanating from it still had an intense glow, before settling back to its pale blue color.

Suddenly, only his labored breathing could be heard in the room. He let himself fall to the floor, overcome by fatigue.

He stared into space for a few moments, his body returning to normal, but there were noticeable changes.

Each of his muscles were getting stronger and stronger, his body expelled all the waste of his organism releasing an intense and smelly smell. The unpleasant smell immediately reached his nostrils, he noticed that a sort of dark brown slime was slipping away from his body.

He thought back to the first time the same thing happened to him.

"Now I get it..."

The strange slime leaking out of his body was due to the fact that his body was gradually purifying itself. As his spirit advanced, his body was also ascending towards what everyone called: Immortality.

Sitting down to rest, Rada felt very tired all of a sudden, but he was still very happy, he knew that everything that had happened must have had something to do with the ascension that the old master was talking about.

With a fully satisfied face, he found himself sleeping in the middle of the room.

The next day, the elder came in to check on the pupil's progress.

Before long, he looked at the extremely messy conditions in the room, along with Rada thrown on the floor like an old rag. It was certainly not the scene he had expected to see.

"What happened in here?!"

The room looked like it had been the site for a fight to the death.

Traces still fresh from combat vibrated in the air, along with the blood that stained the opposite wall. Given the situation, it didn't take the old man long to realize what had happened. However, he was still surprised to find that the boy's spirit had ascended.

(Hmm, a rather violent way to cultivate one's spirit) he thought wryly.

(Even his body seems to have adapted perfectly in such a short time...)

The Elder sighed and smiled, after all he knew that the boy taken under his wing was out of all logic.

With a few gestures of his hands as if by magic, he cleaned him of the dirt that covered his body and took him back to his room.

He could only wait for the awakening of his strange but prodigious pupil.
