"You stay here alone?" I asked while my eyes are roaming around.
"Apparently, yes." he said, "Apparently, I like being alone."
"Ahhh, alone?" I went to the sitting area in the living room. "You have this huge house yet you want to be alone?"
"Correction, rest house slash vacation house" he corrected me while taking a sit on the couch across me.
"Is it lonely?" I asked while looking at his eyes directly. I saw how it changed. It's as if my question made an impact on him. However, as soon as he realized he hasn't given me an answer yet, he looked away.
"I wouldn't know that," he answered with a shaking voice. He looked at me again and now, he's smiling. "I lost my memories, remember? Maybe I also don't remember how it felt?"
'Liar'
"You may have lost your memories but the feeling is still there, you still feel it, right??" I asked, "The loneliness"
"How can you say so?" he asked back, "When you're not even in my position"
'You're right. How am I so sure? Maybe...'
"Maybe because I also experienced that." I leaned back.
"Experience what?"
"I can't remember her, but... but every time I want to remember her voice and.. face, I feel the madness boiling up and I also feel the... the longing acting up."
I avoided his gaze as I feel like tears would fall any minute. We stayed quiet for a few minutes as if he's giving me a piece of mind.
"Where would I stay?" I asked him to change the topic. When I looked at him again he was reaching for his laptop that was on the table.
"Of course in the guest room," he replied while his forehead creased, "Why? Wanna stay with me?"
'Why did he have to ask that in a seducing way?!'
"No, silly" I tried to laugh it out but the laugh came out awkwardly.
"Can I watch something?" I asked again, disturbing him from doing... I guess, work.
"Yeah, go ahead. Do what you want."
'What?! He doesn't know even me but makes me do whatever I want?'
As I was opening the Television I saw a full length mirror. I had this thought that maybe my body and face changed. Why not check, right? It's better to be sure.
I was looking at him while walking towards the mirror. He didn't even bother to look at what I was doing or why I stood up. Before I could even see myself in the mirror, I closed my eyes and I don't know why.
I slowly opened my eyes. Little by little space. When I completely opened my eyes, I was still the same. My body and face didn't change so it made me wonder.
'Why is he acting like that'
After confirming that my thought isn't true, I went back to the couch area and sat there as if nothing happened
"What's your wifi password?" I asked him.
It's a good thing my phone is still working.
"We don't have passwords, it's free" my eyes widened with his answer.
"Eh?!!" I subconsciously asked loudly.
He looked at me with a confused look, "Yup! It's free, don't you know that?" he said.
This really is another world. In my world, Wifi had never been free. It's included in monthly fees and here, wifi's are free?!!! Very mind-blowing!!!
I saw him stand up so I followed him with my eyes and saw him going to the kitchen. I was curious about what he wants to do so I followed him. He went to
"So what's your name?" he asked while blending some fruits.
It's kinda weird that he lost his memory but still know how things go on in his house. I mean, if you really lost your memory, then you would've gone to a doctor immediately. You also wouldn't let a stranger into your house.
'Did he really lose his memory?' I asked myself in my mind.
"I'm Iris, Iris Lee," I answered, "What's yours?"
"Kris Chen," he said right away so I looked at him. He isn't facing me anyway.
See, he knows his name. I mean, he answered immediately as if he's so sure about it.
I searched for his name in the search engine and it showed many articles. There's are dating scandal articles, award-related articles, and movies and dramas where he starred in. Those works don't exist in my world.
"You're famous?" I asked.
"I guess so," he answered while nodding.
"And you're an actor"
"Yup!"
"Mind if I ask you something?" I asked.
"Fire away," he casually said.
"Did you..." I was hesitant, "Did you really lose your memory? You're not faking it?"
He stopped at what he was doing and faced me. He rested his arms at the kitchen island and rest his face on it.
"What do you mean?"
I walked towards him and sat on a high chair next to the kitchen island.
"You know everything about your house when no one had told you what and how to do it. You didn't even care about your head. I mean, you didn't insist on going to a doctor. Another thing is your attitude when you first opened your eyes. Normally those who have amnesia ask the people around them their own names the moment they open their eyes. But you didn't. Instead, you yelled at me for kissing you. I think you intentionally made me hear your conversation with someone earlier to make me think that you really lost your memory when you didn't."
"So you've seen through me, huh?" he asked having a smirk on his face.
"So it's really true?" I asked, he nodded, "You really didn't lose your memories?"
"Yup, I just wanted you to think like that" he calmly said.
"But why?!"
"I don't know, it just came to my mind the moment you appeared," he said, "Now it's my turn to ask?"
I suddenly got nervous.
"W- what is it?"
He walked again and this time he's going towards me. He places his left arm on the counter. He made me turn in his direction with his right hand turning my chair. I am now trapped between his arms. He leaned towards me so I tried to lean back but not to the point that I would fall.
"Where did you came from?"
