March 15th.
"Mom, please don't leave me!"
Roselyn was delirious. Her mouth was shaking violently, while her body was shivering with cold. That night Roselyn had another dream.
"I returned Roselyn because I couldn't take care of it properly," said a young woman while talking to the caretaker of the orphanage where Roselyn came from.
Mrs. Stephanie, the caretaker, and owner of the orphanage looked at Roselyn, who was standing at the door. Hiding for fear of being scolded by Stephanie.
This is the umpteenth time Roselyn has been returned to the orphanage by the parents who took care of her. The reasons are various. There are those who because they can't stand Roselyn's habits that often create problems at school. Other than that, some don't like it because Roselyn is too unruly, but what is often the reason for them is because they will have new family members who are their blood and flesh.
Most of them are families that have difficulty getting children. But once they had children of their own, Roselyn was returned. Of course, it made Roselyn often disappointed and sad.
Stephanie stared at Roselyn's wet eyes, which again swallowed her disappointment and sadness because she didn't have a loving family and saw her as family.
Stephanie hugged Roselyn's tiny body, not wanting the beautiful girl to endure her grief alone.
"Roselyn, how about you stay here with me?" asked Stephanie.
Roselyn nodded and wiped her tears that almost spilled because she held back her sadness, which again failed to have a family that loved her wholeheartedly.
"Mom, let me here to accompany you to the orphanage. I didn't need to be included in the list of candidates for adopted children!" Little Roselyn begged Stephanie in a hoarse voice.
"All right, you just have to grow up here!" Stephanie kissed Roselyn's cheeks affectionately.
Stephanie's affection for Roselyn made little Roselyn not want to wish for more from other people. Enough with her love, Roselyn doesn't need a family.
At the age of fourteen is a time when Roselyn has to be shaken again. Stephanie, the only person who loved her as her child died in an accident. And that was the most profound loss for Roselyn.
"Mom, don't leave me!" Roselyn deliriously called Stephanie again. She dreamed again when Stephanie died.
"Hey, Rose, Rose!" Selena shook the sleeping Roselyn.
Roselyn woke up as soon as she felt her body being shaken by Selena. Her heart raced fast because she was again dreaming of Mrs. Stephanie. Roselyn rubbed the sweat that had come out of her forehead. She had to come back to reality again. If she doesn't have a mother.
"Are you having a nightmare again?" Selena asked already in Roselyn's room.
"Ah… what time is it?" asked Roselyn, rubbing her eyes. She saw that Selena was neat and smell good.
"Where are you going?" Roselyn asked, trying to sit up.
"I have an appointment with Sean later, you're not going anywhere, are you?" Selena asked.
Roselyn ruffled her hair lazily. She remembered that she had an appointment with a grandmother whom she didn't even know whose name was.
"I'll be going now." Selena then kissed Roselyn on the cheek and after that, she hurriedly left.
Roselyn yawned again. Her laziness made her reluctant to get out of bed. She intended to go back to sleep. But only five minutes she lay down and hurriedly got up again. She felt bad if she broke her promise to that grandma.
Roselyn immediately went to the bathroom to clean herself. After taking a shower, she then immediately dressed while glancing at the clock in her room. Almost 10 o'clock.
Roselyn combed her long, thick black hair. Lightly polish her face with a light moisturizer and powder. Then use a peach-colored lip cream. After she confirmed the reflection of her face Roselyn, then took her small bag and then hurriedly left her room.
Roselyn walked a little hastily out of Selena's rented house. She walked back down the path she had walked last night. Due to the different atmosphere, Roselyn was a little confused.
Roselyn finally arrived at what she believed was the place where she had met the old women last night. The rows of shops that were already open made Roselyn feel strange because they had closed last night.
Roselyn was standing in front of the overhang of one of the shops, looking around to find the figure of the old lady last night.
"Maybe she's not here yet, but why am I suddenly like this. Even though I haven't recognized her, I also let my bedtime to meet him," thought Roselyn who felt strange with her.
One minute, two minutes to fifteen minutes she waited. But the grandmother hadn't come yet.
"I haven't eaten anything since earlier, I have to fill my stomach first," said Roselyn then walked to find a cafe or food stall so she could eat. Then, Roselyn's eyes stopped at a shop with a sign called "Butterfly".
'Isn't this the coffee shop I came here last night,' thought Roselyn? She saw the shop employee sweeping the front of the shop. Looks like the shop was opened shortly.
Finally, Roselyn's footsteps headed back to the coffee shop. She pushed open the glass door into the shop. There were already several customers in there. Roselyn then glanced at the tavern window. She checked that she was here waiting for her, maybe she could see her from inside as soon as she came.
Roselyn sat down at a table by the window. Take a look at the busy coffee shop employees.
"Last night this shop has only been open for 24 hours, and today the staff is different from last night," murmured Roselyn, watching two shop workers who as Roselyn remembered were different from last night.
A female employee comes over.
"Sorry miss, what do you want to order?" asked the coffee shop employee in a friendly manner. Roselyn saw the nametag pinned on her employee uniform. Ruby.
"Pretty name," murmured Roselyn.
"Ah, thank you," said the employee, blushing. Roselyn saw the girl's beautiful dimples as she smiled.
"I'll have the waffles with the cappuccino!"
"Yes, miss." Ruby is seen taking Roselyn's order and rushing to the pantry where she deposits her order with another employee whose job is to prepare all of the customer's orders.
Roselyn's attention turned to another table. She saw a young mother taking a picture of her daughter who was finishing her warm chocolate. Roselyn watched with jealousy. While she was growing up, only Stephanie's mother gave her maternal love.
"Miss, this is your order!" Ruby came back with orders for her.
"Ah, thank you." Roselyn immediately turned her attention.
"Miss, my co-workers asked me earlier. Are you waiting for a grandmother?"
Roselyn, who was getting ready to eat the waffles she ordered, was surprised to hear Ruby discussing the grandmother she was waiting for.
"How do you know?" asked Roselyn in surprise.
"Are you Roselyn?"
"How can you know my name too?" asked Roselyn, much more in surprise.
"Earlier a grandmother came here waiting for you, and she left a message for you!" said Ruby then handed her a piece of paper.
Roselyn then opened the paper and read the grandmother's message.
