Today's my birthday and I'm currently sitting in the Courtyard resting my eyes before the sun rises.
I'm laying with my hands behind my head and in my normal white linen tunic. I'm wearing leather shorts today as well so as to not impede my movement so much.
As I lay here under a tree, you can see the same silver necklace with blue stone my mother had.
She had given it to me as a charm for good luck.
I have my final day of training today. I have three events today. I'm supposed to undergo a ritual where all the Elders welcome the prince as a brother in arms. Following that, Uncle Ivar is going to have an official spar with me after as a demonstration, and then my mother is going to review both my Alchemy and my Druid arts in the afternoon.
By virtue of all that, I've come prepared. Laying next to me are two light metal clawed gauntlets, a Broadsword, a one handed axe, shin guards, heel clips, utility sling, knee guards and a sack which is filled with all my knives. To my right is back pack with minor health potions and a first aid kit.
My trusty spear is laying next to me.
Currently resting my eyes, I'm reviewing my work that I have accomplished this last year and a half.

That's a lot more convoluted than last time. It really does show what just a year and a half of work can do.
First off, I'm on the cusp of going rank 2 with my body. Which is a huge turning point considering the preparation I've had up to this point.
I've masted my Fathers fighting style, and made something similar to a personal technique.
Technique in this case being a type of battle habit. Some people are really skilled at using a dagger and looking for blind spots. They shift around a lot and attempt to engage only when they know it's a for-sure victory.
My father's technique is very up front with no gimmicks. My dad is the kinda guy to go, "see this axe? I'm gonna put it in your face." It's very up front. Followed by him swinging the sword right to your face.
Mine is similar except with a little bit of a more devious side.
[Its a huge difference]
I swing the axe at you with one hand while my other hand is reaching for a hidden blade. Throwing daggers at areas you might dodge, switching weapons on the fly to compensate for changing situations, or dirty kicks and slashes to the face to knock someone off guard. My goal is to put you in the most uncomfortable situation possible, followed by a continuous barrage of traps until at some point you slip.
Uncle Ivar says it is the most disgraceful combat style he has ever seen. I counter with, I want to live and he wants to kill me. If I have to step on a few toes to live, nothings gonna stand in my way.
My style includes a lot of multi tasking while paying attention to the tiniest details like positioning. I can confidently say mmo's helped teach me that lesson. Remember to never be near a boss when he's going for a power move. My knowledge of different weapons allow me to attack opponents at all kinds of ranges while developing different strategies.
Im probably one of the only ones in the planet to fight like this since I started training in how to split my attention and use both my hands early. Not only that, my knowledge of mmo tactics and first person shooters have given me a bit of an edge. Not that call of duty is the reason for my success because it's a game and not reality. It's because of my own effort in experimenting with different tactics soldiers would employ.
Last year I would try different tactics from all the media I crunched in the past. When to heal, when to defend, traps, pincer moves, when to press, distractions, and taunts. Anything I thought I could use to get a leg up I would try in practice.
Luckily I have the ultimate punching bag in Uncle Vili. He would beat me senselessly every practice spar over the last six months. I had to find a way to get a little interest.
If I was a lot older, this would likely be much more difficult. Luckily I'm young and my mind is still malleable for training.
As much as I hate to admit it, my father was right. My muscle memory was the correct route to go in order for me to learn to fight.
He's still mad though, that I picked up such a dirty style. He threatened that even if I'm the strongest fight in the tribe, he would ban me from fighting publicly.
So I amped up my training midway through and added more diabolical means to my disposal. I asked a blacksmith to construct me sharp claws so that I can trip up my opponent by releasing my weapon and swiping. I asked him also to build spikes on the knuckles for better punches, Shin and knee guards with several hidden throwing knives, a metal heel Clip to attach to my boot for harder kicks, and a sling that holds several hidden knives and utility pouches.
I'm pretty much a walking armory of toys.
[That blacksmith almost got fired you
Know]
Yes, I felt bad about that so I started focusing on my Druid magic and ended up clearing the basics of Druidic Magic. Now I can heal branches while also calling a cold breeze on a warm day. I'm now a glorified air conditioner.
I did make some personal lightning spells as well.
The first one is static field. It's basically a glorified magnet. I can redirect magnetic energy in the air around me as if I was a magnet. Or I can use it like a small current by making just my hand like magnets.
It's extremely minor since I'm still a low rank druid. Druid spells are strange in their mana manipulation. By virtue of communicating to a huge mana network, it's easier to create bigger effects on a macro scale. The magnetic field spell I made is a micro spell that works on a small are around me and not the environment.
No wonder lightning affinities have a hard time learning. Druid apprentice can't just shoot out lightning from the sky and say yea that's a rank 1 spell.
Rank 1 spells for Ice are like cold breeze which is a macroscopic spell just toned down compared to blizzard.
I had to really practice communicating with the mana in the environment to finally get it to do what I wanted, which was set up a point of negative polarity and positive polarity where I wanted.
The other spell I developed was even trickier. It was an evolution of the first spell.
I would use the first spell to make a small current between two points. With mana I could use two spots in the sky above me. Then I'd run those two points like a circuit continuously adding electrical energy into it using mana then release it in the direction of my choosing by shifting one of the points.
[There it is again]
That complicated?
[Yes!]
Basically, I would charge a lightning bolt made up of mana with a lot of electricity, in between my two hands using mana. And then release the electrical mana at any point I chose using mana.
[Wow Mana can do all that. That's pretty impressive]
Shut it. It's probably the most difficult procedure to do at my level and takes minutes to cast.
It works because I can use mana to shape magnetic fields and form electricity. I basically form a circuit using my fingers and pass electrical energy into it. The all I do is point and shoot.
It's destructive, but it's cumbersome. Not to mention I have to reinforce my hands with more magnetic fields so that the lighting won't escape and hit something I don't want it to. It's like casting three spells at the same time.
I likely won't be able to use this spell until I can form more connections with nature and rank up.
