Yun Lei began carefully observing his surroundings as he remembered everything he had read about illusions.
The first thing to do while trying to break any illusion was to look for inconsistencies in the surroundings and the characters. If something was indeed off, it could be a small chink in the armour from where the entire image could be unravelled.
He immediately sharpened his senses to the limit. The place was exactly as he remembered it being, even the small imperfections in the tree shading him had remained the same. In fact, it was almost like everything had been frozen in time from the last time he had seen it. Except, of course, the fact that he had never seen that garden in the sunlight before.
