"Jane!"
Jane was abruptly awaken from her sleep by someone's worried voice. And knowing that it was actually Edric, her eyes immediately teared up and he got off of the bed and instantly kneeled in front of him.
The next thing that she did made Edric to worry even more.
"Please! Please I'll be good. I'll be good. Just don't hurt my family." Jane was sobbing while kneeling in front of him.
Edric froze as he was shocked. But as soon as he recovered, he immediately scooped her up from the ground and made her sit on his lap.
"Shh! It's fine. It's just a dream, Jane. You're awake now."
Edric couldn't bring himself to not be upset.
He was only away to use the toilet yet here she was, already having a nightmare. The saddest part was that she's having a nightmare of him.
