Chapter 3 - Lab Tests and Worship of a Entity

The researcher walked in front of Titania guiding him through the many white corridors. The air smelled sterile except from the strange smell emitting from him but that was because of the fluid from the cocoon was still on him. He looked at the fluid on his body and saw that it was a brown thick, sticky substance that clung to his skin tightly.

"So," Titania said to the researcher, "How's your day?" He tried to start talking with the researcher guiding him as he felt it was awkward situation they were in. For the past five minutes of them leaving the white room and being guided to a different one was a silent journey. The researcher in front of Titania was a tad bit taller than him forcing Titania to look up a small inch to make eye contact. The Researcher had a thick helmet of black hair that was loosely styled and some stray hairs pointing in some direction, the researcher also had a nice natural tan that suited him nicely. The researcher seemed to be distracted by something, getting caught off guard by Titania's question.

The researcher looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. "Mine is good so far," The researcher said in a low mumble. Titania kept on asking some questions to loosen the tension between them. "Any plans for today?" Titania asked with the best friendly smile he could muster despite his face still feeling horrible from vomiting. "I plan to go back to the observation room and help with the digestion of the data we've received," the researcher responded quickly, "Then I plan to go back to my living quarters here, eat dinner, and go to bed."

The responses Titania got from the researcher were short and simple. He kept on asking three more questions then he kept quiet as he felt that he was annoying the researcher. After a few more turns down the corridor they stopped in front of a white door. The researcher turned to Titania and took out a key card, "These are your living quarters I believe that you will find comfortable." The researcher said to Titania, "We will come to your room later today to run some tests so be prepared for that and with some meals."

After he finished talking he tapped the key card on the door and opened it. He guided Titania through the room, "As you can see you will have a master bedroom and a spare guest room, a kitchen with ample space, and a living room," The researcher said pointing out each appliance as though he was a realtor. He later took him to the master bedroom and pointed out the items in their, "Here you have one queen sized bed, a window, a rotary phone, a walk in bathroom with a tub, and a large enough closet for your needs."

As Titania was being showed the room he kept a still face but on the inside he was bursting with joy. 'This is living quarter has got to be one of the nicest thing to I seen in my life,' Titania thought to himself, 'AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS! The prices for a house and rooms back home are through the roof!'

After the researcher was done showing him the room he walked back to door he dropped off the scrubs he had in his arms. Titania walked quickly behind him and asked him one last question, "By the way I never asked, What is your name?" The researcher looked at him once more and responded quickly, "My name is Reese. Have a nice day." Titania nodded his head with a smile and responded, "Have a good day!" Reese then left and Titania shut the door.

Titania took a deep breath and then sprinted to the bathroom. When got in the bathroom he dashed to the toilet and flipped it open and proceeded to vomit. He didn't vomit as much as he did when he came outside of the cocoon but still emptied his already barren stomach. "I gotta see what's wrong with me. Status." Titania said to himself, he was worried that he will die so soon after coming to this universe.

"That hurt system," Titania said when he read the remark from the system. Titania stared at his attributes randomizing, he hoped that he would be given a better than average start. He started to think of what he could do that could help him at the start. Then he remembered something very helpful.

It was a helpful tool that would be better the earlier you got. However in order to get it you had to pray to a certain entity and it would be stow a form of "Blessing". It basically gave you something to enhanced your growth but in order to get it a player must make a "sacrifice" and there are certain levels to sacrifices to the tool that would be given. It would start small such as killing an animal that would be able to grant you the weakest form of the blessing but the highest would be to destroy a whole civilization. The entity behind the blessing didn't live long as a player killed it because it was part of a mission.

But first Titania had to check the talent that he had gotten from the unique birth event.

Titania raised his eyebrows in astonishment when he read the talent description. This type of talent is one that grows with him and has no form of penalty and does nothing but benefit him in the short and long run. 'And I got it from the start,' Titania thought, 'Even better. But isn't there a term for these types of talents?'

After he got out of this surprise he focused again on what he was going to do. He knelt at the foot of his bed and started mumbling in his breathe as a prayer. The words didn't matter what did was the intention. After a few minutes Titania heard the sound of a system notification

After reading the series of notifications Titania was greeted with another one.

Titania opened his eyes when he read this notification. Seeing this meant that he didn't need to do sacrifices.

"What?" The words slipped out of his mouth.

Beliz sat in his office staring at his computer. Beliz corner office on the highest floor of the facility, the office had floor to ceiling glass windows that gave a wonderful view of the outside. It was nice and spacious enough to have a two books shelves and keep a couple of potted plants. He even had an secretary to manage his affairs. Beliz was a very successful young man, considered a prodigy by some of the department heads, he climbed up the latter quickly become a head researcher and became in charge of the research facility at the young age of 20.

He finished typing his report on the specimen that emerged today and the research information his facility has discovered from the subject named "Infection". He got up from his desk and grabbed his cup tea and walked to the window and stared into the now dark outside luminated by various lights from the facility. He stared at the perimeter outlined with barbed fences and soldiers standing guards. Outside the sanctuary of the facility was nature, many trees pointing to up as to worship the sky and the various animals living with each other. He liked what he saw, a way of order in the chaos of undiscovered nature.

While staring he caught his reflection of himself. He stared at his face, seeing his browns eyes covered with glasses. He stared at his thick eyebrows and blond hair, he touched it as though to see if it was real. He stared at the rest of his body covered in his thick lab coat. Beliz grumbled something under his breathe and tightened his grip on his cup.

He went back to his desk and clicked on the computer. On the screen was various angles of the living quarter that Titania. Beliz saw Titania what was he was doing seeing him walked around the room as though and seeing him talk to himself every now and then (Little did he know Titania was checking the system). When Beliz saw this he had a few thoughts, the most common was 'What the fuck are you doing?'

He put his cup down and rested his head in his hands and continued to stare at the screen. A faint smile can be seen on his face.
