"Honestly, she probably doesn't even know who is in this car," Helen commented, looking up at the woman who had her arms folded like a parent waiting to scold their child.
The clicking of the car door opening from Eli's side let both Helen and Noah know, they weren't escaping the diner tonight. Driving off without Eli wasn't an option because Noah had to see him tomorrow for work and Helen, well, she didn't care how he would react. The reason it wasn't an option for her was Noah being the one in the driver's seat.
"I watch your back and you watch mine, Noah?" Helen suggested getting out of the car when Eli went to her side and opened the door. Eli was always so nonchalant the best person for her to team up with was Noah.
