Chapter 53 - My holy weapon

After the two had finished their breakfast, Xin Feng told his sister to go out with him. She was in disbelief when Xin Feng asked her to tag along, because he never brought her along with him unless their mother told him to. Filled with ecstasy, she rushed in the bathroom to take a quick shower, and when she was finished, she rushed to her room to dress herself as fast as possible.

Waiting in his car, he saw his sister running up to him with a simple and messy attire. She was a cute girl, and her messy hair and big clothing fit her style perfectly. Fortunately, she took good care of herself to make sure her brother wouldn't kick her out of bed. With the help of quality products that the family could easily effort, she was on par to an Asian idol.

Xin Feng could be included to such standard as well, especially with his toned muscles and his smooth glass-like white skin. His appearance was similar to his character's appearance before he returned, with the only difference being his less ripped body, his hazel eyes and his modern haircut. His skin color and smoothness were actually similar to his character, because he had cultivated enough to turn his tanned and rough skin to one of a modern rich handsome man that took care of his body.

Some men who had some type of a masculine style that required them to wear dirty sleeveless t-shirts and shorts that had a lot of sweat, would often think that Xin Feng was homosexual based on the way he looked and wore. He didn't mind them though, since he knew that those men were less cultured and knew little about the various styles around the world.

Jessica knocked on the window of the car, since there weren't any handles for her to pull to open the door. "So where are we going? I know you won't go shopping in the city. Which is why I'm just wearing my casual attire." She said to him when she had taken her seat in the car.

"To train you. The less dead weight there is, the better."

"Oh… AHH!" She yelled out, acting as if she was trying to escape from the car. "Haha, I'm just kidding. I'll do whatever eases my brother. And yeah, I don't want to be a damsel in distress."

Seeing that his sister didn't have any disagreement, he drove towards the location of a blacksmith who made many types of cold weapons for things like cosplay. He ordered it the day he left the hospital, and with the help of money, he was able to convince the blacksmith to prioritize his orders.

When he had arrived at the blacksmith, he told his sister to stay in the car, before he ringed the bell of the blacksmith's house. The location was in the end of the suburbs, where the place was a lot calmer than the bustling center of the city. A man in his forties invited Xin Feng inside his house, before Xin Feng gave out the details of the cold weapons he wanted. He paid him half of the total cost that was higher than the normal prize, and headed towards the car rental place in the city.

His car had auto-drive and Jessica had her driving license with her, which was why he told her to go towards his residence with his car. After he received his rental car, he made sure there were no hidden surveillance, before he headed towards his residence as well.

After changing his attire and taking more than a hundred grand from his safe, he went in the direction of the southside, alone with his rental car. He didn't want to bring his sister along, and told her to stay in his house, since he didn't want to take risks.

The southside of the city was more chaotic than every other location, and one had to be extremely careful with their decisions. Arriving in a less bustling area, he found a group of black and Mexican people having a game of cards. He drove close to them, to the side of the road, before lowering the window to ask them where he could find good guns.

"Shee, G! If you lookin for some good stuff, we got them. So, what you need, homeboy?" One of the men replied to Xin Feng's query.

"Aight, show me what you got then." Xin Feng said as he stepped out of the car, before he closed the door.

"Oh, them tuff sh*t not here homie." The man replied, before he looked behind him to signal the others. "Follow us."

The crew drove towards a warehouse that looked abandoned, while Xin Feng followed them diligently. They all turned off their engine when they had arrived, before the boss signaled to show Xin Feng what lay in each trunk. There were mostly rifles, but Xin Feng decided to look at every type of gun. In the end, he bought six rifles, two shotguns, and eleven pistols that had suppressors with them. After paying the funds, the crew placed the crates with the guns and ammunition inside the trunk of his truck. The trunk had a good cover, and as long as he didn't drive recklessly, the police wouldn't come close to him to inspect his vehicle.

"Nice doing business with y'all." Xin Feng gave his gratitude, before he drove home through the longest routes, to avoid getting followed. With the help of Jessica, he brought the crates inside his house, and placed them neatly in his basement.

"So, what are these?"

"Guns"

"What the! Are you for real?" Jessica gasped in excitement, as she tried opening one of the crates.

"Yeah, but we can't really use them before the undead appear. These guns are illegal, and with the strict law for guns, I'm not sure where we can go to practice using them, and I don't want to take chances."

"Oh…" His sister replied in disappointment. She was a fan of FPS games, and after seeing the real deal in front of her, she couldn't wait to use one.

"You should check "Darziguns" online on how to operate guns. I was able to come across his channel when I was writing about fire arms. His explanations are very good, and if you can remember his instructions, you should be set in theory."

After Xin Feng had told his sister what to do, he went online to order a belt grinder, sharpening stones, and sandpaper, which would be delivered to his house within two weeks. Since he had kept his sister occupied with her homework, he was able to drive alone again without having to be alert. His designation was a church that was rumored to exorcise malevolent spirits.

"God's light has guided a lost sheep home. What is our young brother in search for?" A nun asked, when Xin Feng was nearing the door of the church.

"Greetings, sister" Xin Feng bowed slightly, before he asked if they had holy water available. "If you don't mind of course. Can you explain how such thing functions?"

"Of course, I don't mind preaching our young brother our sacred ways. Follow along, while I'll tell you about it." As they walked, the nun explained that holy water was nothing but a portable tool to help in exorcising malevolent spirits.

"Two hundred years after Christ, our ancestors had become enlightened by the ways of salt. True salt does not rot. It does not get tainted by germs or insects, and even time itself cannot cause it to waiver. It is equivalent to a holy follower of God that does not get tainted by the foul words and deeds of the bringer of Sin and Evil. When salt is blessed by the holiness of God, God's blessings will not disappear, for salt cannot be tainted. This is where holy water comes. A priest's faith consists of quantity, and because he can't be everywhere to help everyone, he blesses the salt and mix it with water so it can be used efficiently. Water takes in everything, and can be tainted easily, but it can also embrace the holiness of our Lord and Savior. That's why water is used."

"I understand… Do you have the blessed salt, then?"

"We could hand that to you as well. A pouch of salt, then?"

"Uhm… How about a sack?"

"A sack?!"

The priest who had just finished exorcising a possessed child, heard the surprised reaction of his sister, which was why he decided to see what was going on. "Anything wrong, sister?" The priest asked when he was near the two.

"This brother wants a sack of our holy salt. That's more than a year of production, and there's no need for such amount."

"Child, what need is there for such amount?"

"Reverend father, I sense dread coming, which is why I need to prepare." Xin Feng told the priest half the truth, as it might help him get what he wanted. He knew that if the priest didn't allow it, he would always still be able to buy a pouch, in consequence of the two simply thinking of him to be afraid due to a nightmare. The priest reacted differently to his expectations though.

"This brother was able to hear God's warning." The priest muttered, as his eyes widened. "I had received the same feeling of dread yesterday, and with him here, it is a definite sign of God that the end is near. The true Armageddon. The day the bringer of Sin and Evil shall rise to take over what God had created."
