Chapter 56 - More than ten inches

Two weeks passed since then. A call from the blacksmith came on the seventh of June twenty twenty-four. The creation of the cold weapons was finished and ready to be picked up. Xin Feng brought her along, as he wanted her to help him bring the weapons to his car. He drove his rental car, since it had enough room, and because he was able to use the car for three months. It was a gamble to rent the car, because he didn't know when the demon's underlings would come. That's why he rented it for three months, to make sure that he didn't need to return the car, but keep it instead. It was a sturdy car after all, and renting was cheaper and less troublesome.

There were two weapons that were specifically made for him, and there were seven other weapons for different purposes. The nine weapons were all some type of light weapons. There were two katanas, three daggers, two maces, and two spears.

Xin Feng's goal was to have someone be able to defend in a tight and an open area, which was why there were katanas and daggers to pair, and maces with spears. The extra dagger was in case of emergency, or an extra person. Xin Feng's weapons were the most special ones, that normal human beings wouldn't be able to wield easily.

They were heavy two-handed hammer and axe, with a weight that exceeded a hundred kilograms due to it being made of steel and because the heads were gigantic. The heads were as big as a human's head, which meant that it could simply squash someone's head by falling on it. Thanks to Xin Feng's gaining inhuman strength within the two weeks, he was able to wield them as if he was wielding sledgehammers. The reason for an axe was to cleave through strong enemies that had a thick skin, while a hammer to easily smash a group of weaker enemies that rely on quantity.

"Are you planning to use these heavy beauties for decorations? They're quite heavy to carry around, unless you're taking a quick picture." The blacksmith struck a conversation with Xin Feng, as he was interested in the reason why the young man had ordered such weapons to be made completely from steel instead of a light metal.

"Not really. It's a nice fighting scene without the help of CGI. If you can see through my clothes, you would understand." Xin Feng replied, before he lifted the two weapons at the same time, to let them rest on his shoulder. The blacksmith was impressed and baffled from the effortless act, and began to compliment Xin Feng of his outstanding features.

"I'm already exited to see your movie. They sure did find the right person. I know that you're not allowed to expose the details of the movie, but it should be a movie about a prince who became a strong warrior, right?" The man said, before he imitated some kung fu movements.

With only a slight lie, the blacksmith had already misunderstood the reason, and thought that Xin Feng was a rising Chinese movie star due to the expensive car that he came with and his charming looks. The need to prioritize his order, made the man belief his assumption without a doubt, because it seemed too obvious with all the other evidence.

Xin Feng didn't say anything about the man's assumption, and simply smiled as he patted the man's right shoulder. The payment had already been made before he held the weapons, so he had no reason to stay any longer. He left with the two weapons, while his sister followed him, while hugging all the nine weapons together. Xin Feng weapons were the only ones that were lethal, due to its weight. The others were too blunt and light to cause an injury, unless enough force was used. The weapons were placed on the trunk, and when they were all there, the trunk was closed to not arouse attention. Another unloading to the basement happened again, when they had arrived home.

Xin Feng didn't sit idle after placing the weapons, but started using the tools that he had received a few days in front of his door. It was time for him to sharpen the weapon to make them lethal. The mace was the most annoying one for Xin Feng to sharpen, since the spikes were close to each other. Still, he had finished making them all lethal, to make sure that he would be able to survive the onslaught of the demon's army.

After the two weeks, his full strength was be able to make him lift a thousand pounds. It was not comparable to his previous strength, but at least, it was at the same level of physical strength of an average spiritual cultivator in the advanced realm. His training was the same as before, with a few more improvements like running distance and bleeding.

It was after the first week, when he tried cutting of his pinky to see what the benefits would be after it healed. After that, he slowly continued with more fingers, and would continue all the way to the end of his hand in the future. The difference when taking such risks, was that he would leave the healing vial ready near him, before he cut a finger. He had to make sure that the vial still had its function, before taking a risk that could ruin his plans. Within those weeks, Jessica had become more proficient in swinging something a bit heavy, and her stamina had increased by leaps.

"Aren't you happy?" Xin Feng asked his sister with a smile, as he looked at the beautiful weapons around him.

"If you're talking about the opportunity to see real weapons in front of me… Yes!" She replied with shining eyes, as she stared at the katanas and rifles.

"Oh, it's much better than that… Here. From today on, you're training with these." Xin Feng handed her a katana and a dagger. "I'll show you later how to use them situationally. Especially the dagger."

Jessica nodded to what Xin Feng said, and left to admire the weapons in her hands. Xin Feng didn't leave yet, as he was pondering when the said demon would come. It had been two weeks, and there weren't any signs of them. Xin Feng couldn't help it, since it was human nature after all. When someone knows their exam's results is coming, but not when, they would not be at ease, especially when there's a slight chance of failing. Such emotions were similar to what Xin Feng was currently experiencing.

'I've prepared every defensive measure, and all that's left is to wait. It might be years till they come, but I should be grateful if that happens. If I'm not wrong, that demon should be finishing up that cultivation world. He's definitely coming.'

Huffing the weight of his shoulders, he stepped out of the basement. It was time to notify his friends. Xin Feng walked up to his computer, to open up the app Oxcord, and make a private server to invite his friends. He tagged everyone to notify them for a group chat.

The others who Xin Feng invited, were either busy or lurking behind the conversations. Xin Feng's friends were fellow writers or gamers. Some of them stayed a few miles away from him, while others in a different state or country. He had seven close friends, who he would often talk to and hang out were. They were one of the only people who had similar interest as him, and had known him for more than two years.

The chat was dead for a few minutes, since no one took the time to reply, because they were pondering if what Xin Feng said is true.

[Old G0d: I'll come over]

[Insignificant Goddess of CEO: ME TOO *Love eyes Emoji*]

Everyone began to tell Xin Feng that they would come over, while some of them told him how they might arrive much later since they lived too far. Fortunately, they all had the funds to take a trip to him. For an hour they discussed what they would bring, and if they would stay there for a while. Xin Feng's house was big enough to fit all of them after all, and it would be a fun vacation if Xin Feng was joking. Taking care of their dishes would be his punishment if he was pranking them.
