*Knock* *knock*
It was just a few minutes ago after Xin Feng had minimized his Oxcord app to search for any recent demonic sightings in the news, when he heard the notification of someone trying to visit him and enter his terrain. Through the gate's camera, he saw an unfamiliar girl who seemed to be in her early twenties, waiting on her scooter.
'Did I order something…?' Xin Feng pondered, as he tried to figure out if the girl ever appeared in his life.
Not wanting to waste too much time thinking when he could simply ask, he opened the gate to let her in. Her face didn't seem familiar to him at all, and the more he thought about it, the more he became confused.
After a few seconds, the environment became awkward, since all Xin Feng did was stare while the girl had her eyes on her feet due to her embarrassment. Thankfully, Xin Feng wasn't a shy guy and knew how to start a conversation. The ice got broken, and questions began to be asked. With a smooth tongue, he introduced himself before asking her what she needed of him. It took a while for the girl to continue the conversation, as she was in a stalemate due to her blushing from the fact that Xin Feng spoke to her directly.
The picture of Xin Feng's godly body was still fresh in her mind, and because the experience of talking to someone in real life was different to virtual, it was difficult for her to have a clear mind. Her heart was rapidly beating in excitement and anxiousness, as she didn't expect the guy in front of her to be so handsome and beautiful. She found him looking way better than in picture, and because of his height where his chin would rest on her head, she couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth spreading around her body from the embarrassing thoughts she had of her leaning on his shoulder.
"Hi…" She was finally able to utter a word. Her blue berry eyes met Xin Feng's hazel eyes, making her embarrassed again. But she didn't waver, and stood straight, determined not to move a single inch, as if she was in a staring contest with him.
"Yes… Hello…" Xin Feng replied with an exaggerated expression, as to point out how awkward the situation was between him and her. As to not portray a bad image, the girl quickly apologized before slowly introducing herself.
"It's me, your cool-headed goddess of CEO." The girl introduced herself as the friendly coffee enjoyer of the friend-group. With a bright smile and her fingers scratching her head, her attitude changed from a shy and meek girl to a friendly and cheerful person.
"Nice to actually meet you, my name's Sylvie. You must be Steve, right? Or is that a nickname?"
Xin Feng got surprised from her change of attitude, but he was still able to trace her nervousness from the fact that she spoke her sentences as if she was rapping.
"It's actually Steven, nice to meet you as well. Honestly, I didn't expect any of you to arrive this soon, especially someone who's a beauty like you." Xin Feng showed a slight smile after he had finished his sentence, which caused Sylvie's heart to flutter for a second due to hearing some sweet words from someone leagues above her.
"By the way. Did you drive here the moment I gave out my address? If I'm not wrong, you last bathed four hours ago, and based on the heat your vehicle's releasing, you should have driven it for almost twenty minutes…"
Xin Feng spoke those words on purpose, which caused Sylvie's face to turn almost as red as cherry. In fact, Xin Feng's words didn't have a single lie in them. His increased senses and the memories of having an immortal body, gave him the potential to heighten his senses and make accurate assumptions.
Within a few seconds, Sylvie managed to stir the subject away from the conversation without asking how Xin Feng knew of such things. It was simply too embarrassing for her to talk about, especially the part about him knowing when she last took a bath. It certainly sounded creepy, but with the looks of Xin Feng, she deeply wished he knew more than that.
With her hand grabbing onto his shoulder, she tried to bring him somewhere else from the yard while discussing about the others of the chat that she might know in real life.
…
"Wow… who is she…? I guess birds of the same feather do indeed flock together."
"Meh… maybe. Her character is a bit off in comparison to mine though."
"She's a bit clingy and a bro-con…" Xin Feng whispered to Sylvie's ear to not let his sister hear him in case she was awake.
*Gasp* "Sound like a good rom-com story" Sylvie whispered back with a little bit of excitement. *Sigh* "Sadly It's prohibited to write incest related stories."
"Guess what... She's…" The last words were whispered even more silently. Sylvie gasped once again and couldn't help developing many plots inside her head. The fact that the brother and sister weren't truly related, and how the sister was dear to the brother but didn't know she wasn't actually related.
'BUT HE'S MY BROTHER!!! A story of a girl who couldn't cross the limits with her brother but in fact could because he isn't her actual brother… Brilliant! I should note this idea in my notepad later!' Sylvie thought with a smile of accomplishment as she pressed her fingers together to form a fist.
With a tick of his finger, Xin Feng woke up his silly sister who seemed to be tired from her daily training. At first, his sister was still half asleep and didn't want to wake up. But the moment she saw another woman with her brother, she jumped out of the couch to embrace her brothers arm for herself.
"Who is you and why hast thou come?" Jessica asked warily, full of suspicion. Xin Feng simply slapped her forehead, since she was acting crazy again in front of someone she didn't know.
"Stop acting like a damned degenerate." Xin Feng reprimanded her while he continued tapping her forehead as punishment. Sylvie didn't mind what Jessica did, and giggled at the playful sight between the two instead. With a smile she stared at the two fighting, before she made a remark on how the two looked like a cute couple. A prince and a princess, which she didn't want to admit she was a bit jealous of.
"See! Even this lady think we're meant to be! It's fate I tell yah!" Jessica was the first person to yell, due to her sudden rise of happiness.
"No." Xin Feng replied as he moved her head and body that was leaning on his chest, half a meter away from himself. "Sylvie, make yourself at home. When everyone's here I'll give out the weapons."
"Right. Jessi, follow me. I'll show you how to use the dagger."
Since Sylvie didn't have anything to do, and because she was interested in what Xin Feng performances, she decided to follow the two to the backyard. In the backyard, Xin Feng asked Jessi her dagger, since he wanted to demonstrate the basics. With a dagger in his left hand, he did a horizontal slash to the left and continued it with a diagonal slash downwards, before slashing it upwards like a knife. After slashing upwards, he then held the dagger in a reverse grip, to stab the air.
"I don't know much about wielding weapons, but these basic moves should be helpful in multiple scenarios. Keep practicing those four moves until they become as simple as breathing. You might even get enlightenment from the sheer potential the attacks have."
'Why did I say that?! This is no longer the cultivation world! It's too cringe!' Xin Feng yelled inside his mind in dismay.
Jessica began to perform the moves Xin Feng showed. Because she was already a bit proficient in swinging a rod, it wasn't too difficult for her to adjust to a dagger. In comparison to Xin Feng her performance was quite sloppy and filled with mistakes, but at least she was clear about what to do. Since she didn't seem to need any guidance, Xin Feng left without a word to go on with his own training. Even Sylvie, who was to focused on Jessica, didn't notice that Xin Feng had vanished from the backyard.
…
After a while, Sylvie decided to ask Jessica something that has been bothering her since the moment Jessica began following Xin Feng's advice. "You look quite determined. Are you certain your brother isn't lying?"
Jessica smiled at Sylvie's question, and boasted how she would do anything to make her brother happy. "So don't yah try anything stupid, bestieee." Jessica continued with her dagger close to Sylvie's neck. A tinge of fear could be seen within Sylvie's eyes, but she still persisted and asked her how her protectiveness wouldn't harm her brother's happiness instead.
"Tch!" Jessica pulled the dagger away from Sylvie's neck, accepting the fact that she and her brother couldn't build up an intimate relationship.
"Don't think you're safe from my radar after telling me such a stupid thing."
"I'll be watching you…"
