Chapter 6 - Consequences

After the man had left, Xin Feng went near the feces, before sitting cross-legged to cultivate.

Not even a second had passed before he heard someone asking for him. Apparently, it was miss Liu that was looking for him.

"Xin Feng, are you alright? I need you to come with me. There are some things your father wants to discuss with you."

"Understood." Xin Feng relied before following her to her mount. Her mount was a type of bear beast.

The two mounted the beast without any problem, before speeding off towards the sect's headquarters.

"So, I heard that you're interested in alchemy? Sadly, you're not a cultivator… You need to be able to control spiritual energy if you want to practice alchemy, you know."

"Don't worry miss Liu, I already expected that." Xin Feng said with a reassuring smile.

"I wonder where I can find books about herbs and beasts though. I just like these subjects, since I don't know much about the world after all. I just want to explore this world you see, but sadly, I'm just a mortal like you said… This is only as far I can go." He continued with a sad frown.

Liu Lue looked at Xin Feng with a tinge of sadness before focusing at her front again, ending the conversation with complete silence.

After traveling for an hour or so, they finally arrived in front of Xin Feng father's mansion.

The sun was already setting, and some of the sect masters were lighting up lanterns. The sect's manor was built in the biggest mountain of their dynasty, where the buildings of the Sect Masters and the Patriarch lay.

In the middle of the big buildings, was a battle field that was as big as a football field. This was built for the sect members to duel for a certain position in the sect.

Outside these mansions, were also other large important buildings such as the auction market, the alchemist guild, the blacksmith guild, the rune association, and the library. The other minor buildings were things such as restaurants, tailor shops, equipment shops, furniture shops, markets, and public bathrooms.

...

"Disciple greets master." Liu Lue payed her respects.

Xin Feng who was in a state of confusion after showing his presence, hurriedly thought what the usual main characters would do, before greeting, "Xin Feng greets father."

The old man simply nodded, and gestured for them to come in. After a short minute, the old man gave a hint, before he began to speak.

"U-uhm! Xin Ling, is it true that you've used an erasing technique on Xin Feng?" The old man asked in a professional tone as he emitted his Nascent middle stage six aura to intimidate everyone in front of him.

Xin Feng who felt the aura spreading, saw the face of the Liu Lue becoming sour, and Xin Ling who started having a pained look.

Just as he was about to question himself, a notification suddenly appeared.

Because Xin Feng didn't understand what the notification meant with mental superiority, he quickly looked up the description.

***

[Talent achieved: Mental superiority]

[Details]

*Character cannot be affected by mental intimidation that tries to frighten the soul. This because the user's soul is a free/conscious soul that can think without the need of a "Character".

'Well, that's going to be useful, I guess.'

Finally understanding what was going on, he quickly began his act, as to not let the old man question his abilities.

Xin Feng widened his eyes, as he fell in a kneeling position while trembling.

*Cough* *Cough*

The old man who saw this, quickly withdrew his aura, before apologizing.

"My apologies, I forgot that mortal can die from my intimidation aura."

"No worries, you can go on." *Cough* Xin Feng said, while he kept coughing as if he was the old man instead.

"Xin Ling, is it true...?"

"Ah! No no! I did not use any mind erasing techniques on him, I swear! Even to the heavens!"

"Oh, it seems that you might not be lying… So, tell me, why did you make him into your servant?"

"I didn't, father! It was his own doing."

"So, calling you his young mistress is his own doing?"

"Yes, father."

"You dare!" Liu Lue interrupted.

"U-Uhm! Is what she said true, Xin Feng?"

"Well… When I woke up one day without any memories of my life, I asked the guards what was going on. They then simply shouted at me for lazing around, and tried warning me to avoid the young mistress's punishments. This is how I basically figured out that she was my young mistress, since she would also come visit me occasionally to whip me for doing a bad job. So indeed... I guess it was me who decided to call her young mistress."

Hearing this, the master and disciple duo fumed with rage. "So, you did treat him as your servant! Hell, it's even worse, because you invited your friends to use him as a training dummy! Have you gone mad?!" The old man shouted.

"Well yes, but… No! Okay! It's because he called me young mistress, that's why!"

"Ha! So, you're telling me that you simply treated him as a slave, just because he called you as a servant would?! Still... Didn't the guards inform him that you're his young mistress, and that he was supposed to continue working. Doesn't that mean that you already treated him as a servant before he lost his memories?! Perhaps he lost his damn memories because you overworked him at the barn!" Liu Lue refuted harshly.

"Bu-but!"

"Shut up! You have violated our agreement completely without any sign of mutual respect! Therefore, you deserve harsh punishment! From today and onward, you will be stripped of your position as a sect master's descendant, and forbidden from getting the position as a sect elder! Now vanish from my sight, mere beginner stage!"

"Understood father." Xin Ling said before she ran away in tears.

*Sigh* "I can't believe her. A mere beginner lower stage two playing arrogant." Liu Lue muttered.

"Xin Feng. I have two options for you. You can stay with my disciple or you can take the position of a sect master's descendant. What do you choose?"

"I'll become a sect master's descendant then, father."

"Then, I'll bestow you this position."

"Thank you, father." Xin Feng said before receiving a nod from his father.

Since the problem had been solved, he left the mansion, and headed towards Liu Lue's mount, as he waited for her to finish her conversation with his father.

*Sigh* 'This is the best choice, since I don't want to expose myself when training or something else… Also, I haven't finished absorbing those feces in the barn yet.'

"Oi! After all that I did, you still avoid me, huh!" Liu Lue said while pouting.

"Hehe, it's not that I'm avoiding you. I'm just used to being alone in peace and silence. There are too many people in your resident, and I don't want to be a burden to you, you see. Also don't worry, I'll make sure to visit you anytime I feel free to."

"Hmph! You better!"

"Also don't you want to visit the library? There's a lot of useful information about alchemy. Just make sure to place the book back where it was though." Liu Lue continued with a cheerful smile.

Xin Feng eyes glowed when he heard what she said, as he replied, "Of course! Where is it? Is it close? How far?"

"Haha! Calm down, calm down. It's not too far." She answered with a smile. The way Xin Feng acted right now, made her really happy. She was glad that she was able to help someone as innocent as him from a traumatic situation, just like her master had helped her in the past.

"By the way, how are you already so strong when you're only a decade older in comparison to Xin Ling's friends?" Xin Feng proceeded to ask.

"Haha, you flatter me. I'm already near a hundred and sixty-years old, you know. More than a hundred years of difference in comparison to them." Liu Lue said as she giggled.

"But, I guess it's talent and hard work…"

"PFF! If you're that age, my father's probably almost four hundred and twenty years old, hehe!"

"Oh, you actually remember?" She asked, surprised that Xin Feng had already gained some of his memories.

"Uh, what…?"
