When Alex left his old village, he sold his house and everything and when he reached Hokkaido, he was shocked when he saw that he only had a few gold coins left . His pockets were tight. He had to find a job or start to do something by which he could earn.
"Rubaica, I am going outside. You shall takecare of your brother." Alex said to his daughter in delightful manner. "yes father, I will takecare of him. You can go." Rubaica said in lovely manner. She gave him hug and Alex left.
First he explored the kingdom. He saw pumphlets on shop's about hiring for work but unfortunately no one kept him for work. Days passed and they were hand to mouth. Even they did not had enough money to pay the rent of the hotel so hotel manager kicked them out. He only had money for one day food.
Alex and Rubaica with escanor started to travel on the cart here and there as they were out of money. They stopped at some point of the kingdom and rested there.
"Father! I am hungry!" Rubaica said to Alex in low voice. "My child, i only have last piece of bread left. You can have it. " Alex replied to, his daughter in a lovely way." She took the bread and gave half of it to her father. "Rubaica! We will have great meal next morning" he said to her daughter while crying. Escanor was also hungry but fortunately they had milk so Rubaica fed him.
At night, when Rubaica, and escanor were sleeping, Alex woke up and took escanor and left Rubaica sleeping in cart. After few minutes, he put escanor on someone's door He was crying as he lost his wife and now he had to let his son go. "Oh my son! May God protect you and you become a great man one day." he said to his son and ran towards Rubaica. He cried alot.
Alex just wanted his son to be a great man but he cannot afford his expenses. On the next day when Rubaica woke up, she did not found her brother and started to find him but hewas not there."WHERE IS ESCANOR!" she exclaimed and started to cry. "My daughter, I wish that may God protect him." Alex told her daughter in a very low voice. Rubaica did not understand what his father was talking about. "father please tell me where is my brother!" Rubaica asked him again and again but Alex did not replied and they wandered from here and there. Rubaica had her lunch but Alex did not ate anything, neither breakfast nor lunch.
At night they stopped. He was out of money but he had some bread so he gave it to Rubaica. After eating they slept.
On the next day, Alex had no money, neither food so he had to sell his cart. Breakfast was arranged for both of them and they both had their meals.
"father, where is our cart?" Rubaica asked innocently. "my child, I had to sell it for food. We will buy a new one." he replied to her daughter and hugged her. They both wandered. At evening he miraculously found a job. He could only bear his daughter expenses.
" father, I shall also work and help you financially." Rubaica said to her father. Alex cried and hugged her" My brave girl! This time will also pass and we will have a great life. We will also find escanor soon." Rubaica prayed" May God help us and keep our brother safe and let us reunite once again."
Rubaica also found a job as a waiter in hotel and she helped her father financially.
