It was morning, a middle aged lady got ready for her work. She used to work as a cook in morning shift for royal family of Hokkaido. Her name was Monica. Her husband died due to illness. She had a son of 12 years. His name was Berkly.
"Berkly, get some meat from the market." Monica asked her son. As he opened the door he found Escanor at his door sleeping. "MAMA! " he shouted when he saw escanor.
"What happened my son." she asked her son and ran towards the main door. She found a baby boy on her door steps. She quickly took the baby inside and fed him with some milk.
"Berkly! Did you found anything with him?" Monica asked her son. "Wait a minute. Let me check his stroller." he replied. He found a letter inside his stroller. "Oh my child! Give it to me." she exclaimed curiously. She read it and found his name.
"Oh his name is Escanor." she said. "Oh mother! What to do now?" he asked his mother." I don't know. I think I shall take him to the king. Whatever he says will be the fortune of this child" she replied.
"I shall go now. Breakfast and lunch is ready. You may go now and eat your meal." she told her son. He asked innocently "When will you come back?". " My son, I would be late today." she replied while loving him then she left for castle with Escanor.
When she reached to castle, she quickly walked towards hall. King was sick so queen listened her people. Monica came close to queen. Queen noticed Escanor in her arms and asked" Is he your boy Monica ? "
" No! My lady. He is not my blood." she replied the queen." Then whose successor he is?" queen asked her politely. Monica replied" I found him on my door steps with a stroller and a letter in which his name was written Escanor. My queen I came here to take advice from you."
Queen did not had any offspring. He took the child from Monica and announced" My people you all are invited in for party. " Then queen rewarded Monica rewarded. After that she took the baby and went to the king. King was resting when she came inside the room. He saw a baby in her wife's arm and asked" who's child is this? And tell me his name " she replied" My love, our cook Monica found him on her door steps and came to me for advice. I told her to let me have the baby. She told that she found a letter in which his name was written Escanor."
" Oh I see! What a poor fate of this young child but from now we shall be his parents. We will rise him and he shall become the greatest king and the greatest warrior in the whole world. " king said to her wife. She smiled and hugged him for his such decision.
Escanor was so much lucky that he had new parents who were nice and rich. He had a bright future. His real mother died and his father abandoned him but luck was with him so he found new family.
