As the night began the village fell silent not a voice could be heard, it was as if the village had been abandoned by its very owners. But the silence didn't last long as soon Heath felt the ominous presence, he threw a flare signal up in the air which was decided to be used in life threatening situations. The flare went up high and could be seen for miles, it was shot in an attempt to join the forces with other troops but instead it grabbed attention of the nearby beasts.
Now Nord in the west, Korb in the south, Lark in the north and Vilson in the east with their respective groups saw the signal and headed towards Heath who was still comparatively near the center of the village.
[On the western side]
On his way back Nord felt the ground shaking and before he could realize he was thrown up in the air and along with him three of his men were flung at the same time. As he was airborne, he looked down just to encounter a giant snake brownish in color, the one like a banded sand-snake just of humongous size. In the blink of an eye the snake lunged towards the three men and swallowed them in a single gulp and crashed on the ground along with Nord at a distance of about 50 meters. The snake consuming three grown ass men tried to escape in the burrow from which it had made its entrance and as it was halfway through it felt a gigantic force that pulled it out of the burrow it was none other than Nord.
"Where do you think you're going, taking my men", yelled Nord, and started spinning the snake in a rotatory motion parallel to the ground.
The centrifugal force due to the rotation made the snake vomit the three men to a distant ground. [Nord: Ability->Superstrength greater than an average beast, Appearance->Long ginger beard, curled hairs tied at the back, six feet tall, built like Arnold (the famous bodybuilder)]
Now that the men were secured, Nord pummeled the snake on the ground repeatedly until its blood splashed everywhere, making sure that not a single ounce of life is left in its 10 feet reptilic body.
[Throwing the reptile aside]
"Let's get going", said Nord to his fellow soldiers.
" Ye.. yes sir", replied the unit, and they advanced towards the center.
[Near the center]
As heath confronted the anomality he froze with fear, taking advantage of which, the beast swung its enormous hand holding the axe in a motion vertical to the ground.
"Heath!", yelled Keath as she came out of the hut to check the situation outside.
Keath's voice brought Heath to his senses just enough for him move away slightly from the line of attack.
Bang fell the axe on the ground ripping Heath's left away from his body.
Splattered the blood from the cavity. Heath held his wound with his right arm.
"What should I do, he thought to himself", behind him stood Rein whom he had considered a healer incapable of fighting, before her stood her sister and to her leg cuddled the two kids and in between stood certain death exhaling animosity into the air.
Heath breathed heavily as he calculated all the possible outcomes in fraction of seconds.
"Rein, take my sister and the kids and run to the capital", he screamed and as the air surrounding him begin to set ablaze.
