He and the girls were brought to a private room on the 7th floor. "I'll bring you some refreshments and also inform the guards about Young Master Choi." "Thank you. Don't send too many and could you send the lead guard up too? I would like to formulate a plan with them." The woman nodded before leaving.
Ki Ha sat down and leaned back with a deep sigh. 'First the situation with Sung Hoon and Jinwoon and now this. Somebody upstairs really hates me.' "Ki Ha nim. What are we going to do, we can't stay here forever?" Dam Hee looked worried.
The other girls were also worried but they didn't voice it. They hoped that when they had finished eating the men down stairs might have left. "Dam Hee, I'm sure it will be alright. Let's enjoy our time out." Yuri patted Dam Hee's back.
Dam Hee didn't look convinced. "Lady Yuri is right. The guards are about to come, so there will be no problem." Ki Ha smiled at Yuri and the other girls. Ki Ha could see the girls slightly relax. He hoped that he was right.
A few minutes later two servants came in with tea and snacks. Seeing the beautiful dishes and sweets, the girls forgot that they were stuck in this establishment. They were finally laughing, making Ki Ha feel a little bit better.
He turned to one of the servants. "Could you notify me when the lead guard has arrived?" He whispered to the servants. The servant nodded before leaving with the other. 20 minutes later, the servants came back inside.
"Girls, I'll be right back. If you need more tea or anything else just ring that bell. The servants can hear it and they will come to take your order." The girls looked up. "How about the entertainment?" Ki Ha laughed out loud.
"The panel over there will open when they start. You won't miss a thing. I'll be right back." The servant led him outside and to the room next to them. When he entered there were 10 guards waiting for him.
They were all dressed in black except for one man who had red markings on his clothes. They all stood up when they saw Ki Ha. "Lord Ki Ha. This is an unfortunate meeting." Ki Ha indicated that they should sit down.
"Ji Ho. Good to see you again. I do agree, wish we could have met in a different setting. Do you have any ideas as to what to do about this?" Ji Ho, the leader of The Desert Rose, used to be a soldier at the palace.
Five years ago, he got critically injured during a visit to Kalma. Thankfully he recovered but he wasn't able to fight anymore. The King had honorably discharged him and given a job at The Desert Rose.
Ki Ha and Ji Ho had become friends two years ago after he and Sung Hoon had a run in with some drunk customers. "This is very different from the last time." Ji Ho tried to lighten the situation but they both knew that it was serious.
"Have you tried to talk some sense into Hun Gon?" Ji Ho stared at Ki Ha like a ghost. "You and I both know Young Master Hun Gon. We tried to talk to him in private but he was screaming and yelling that he wasn't going to leave."
"Then I recommend that we inform Lord Choi of the situation." Ki Ha couldn't think of anything else. "We've already sent a message to him. We have to wait until he arrives." Ki Ha thought about it. "I want to talk to Hun Gon."
Ji Ho, Ki Ha and the guards went down stairs. "Young Master Hun Gon. Could we have a private conversation?" Hun Gon drunkenly stood up. He had to hold on to the table so as not to fall. "If you want to tell me something, you can do it out in the open."
The whole floor became deadly quiet. Everybody wanted to know what would happen. Ki Ha let out a deep sigh. "Alright. Your father has been summoned. He will be here soon. I'm just hoping that we can resolve this before he comes."
Hun Gon laughed out loud. "My old man will never come here! So what do you want." Ki Ha didn't care if Lord Choi or a servant would come, he just wanted to be able to leave The Desert Rose without Hun Gon and his goons harassing Ye Sul and the other girls.
"It doesn't matter. I hope you can leave me and the girls alone." Hun Gon scoffed. "You're acting like I'm a bad person. I just want to say goodbye to the girls, like any young master." Ki Ha and everybody else rolled their eyes. 'What a shameless liar!'
"Sir, Lord Choi is on his way." Everyone looked surprised at the messenger who just rushed in. After cutting Hun Gon off, Lord Choi would refuse to interfere in his son's business. "Let's see what's going on." Ki Ha, Ji Ho and the other guards decided to wait and see what Lord Choi would do.
Hun Gon had a hard time registering what the messenger had just said. "I told you! My old man is too lazy and proud to come here." He grabbed a bottle and drank deeply out of it. He tried to put it back on the table but he was slowly seeing double.
In his frustration, he hurled the bottle towards Ki Ha and Ji Ho. He gave them a manic laugh but he nearly sobered up when he saw his father standing in the door opening. "Ha. Is this my dear father? I can't believe you finally decided to come."
Lord Hun Woo was red in the face. Disgust was writing all over his face. "Don't make me force you to leave." Lord Hun Woo said with clenched teeth. The guards took a step forward. Hun Gon's friends looked at each other.
"Hun Gon, let's just leave, we've already eaten and drunk our fill." One of his friends tried to make him see reason. But Hun Gon didn't care. "Why should we leave! We're paying customers!" Hun Gon shrugged his arm off.
"Could you stop acting like this? I heard you harassed the Prince's steward and the girls from the selection! What is wrong with you?! You're dragging our family's name through the dirt!" Lord Hun Woo couldn't keep calm anymore.
Hun Gon was holding on to the table for dear life. "I'm doing nothing. You and everyone else keep on demanding me to do this and do that! They ignored me! I just told them to say goodbye when they leave. Why is everybody making a big deal out of it!"
His friends looked at each other and decided it was time to leave. "Hun Gon, it's late. We're going to leave." Hun Gon glared at his friends. "You all better sit down." Between the possible beating from the guards or Hun Gon. They chose to get a beating from Hun Gon.
They could always pacify him with drinks, food or women. Before Hun Gon could see anything else, his friends had left the table and ran out of The Desert Rose. Hun Gon was left alone at the table. Hun Gon turned his drunk head left and right but his friends were really gone.
"Take him." Lord Hun Woo's patience was gone. The guards took hold of Hun Gon but he pushed them off. He might be useless but he had been training since he was young. Fending off a few guards was nothing. He looked for a way out and saw Ka Ha.
'It's his fault!' His eyes turned murderous. He sprinted towards Ki Ha but before he could take a swing, he was struck by one of The Desert Rose guards. Hun Gon's eyes rolled back before hitting the floor. Lord Hun Woo calmly walked over. "Lord Choi! I'm sorry."
The guard bowed towards Lord Hun Woo. "Don't worry about it. This was the only way. Get him out of here." Lord Hun Woo's guards rushed over and dragged Hun Gon out of The Desert Rose. "I'm sorry for the problem my son has caused. Send me the bill."
Lord Hun Woo bowed before leaving The Desert Rose. The moment he passed the threshold, The Desert Rose erupted into loud talking. "OMG. Lord Hun Woo really came over! What is going to happen to Young Master Hun Gon. Like I care. I just don't want to be him."
The people were talking about what had just happened. Ki Ha didn't particularly like Choi Hun Woo but he did feel bad for the man. The name Choi used to mean something but now all people talked about was the good for nothing son.
Ki Ha let out a deep sigh before heading back up stairs. "I'm glad Lord Choi decided to come in person." Ji Ho and the other guards agreed with Ki Ha. "I'll go back to the girls then. Thank you for helping out."
Ji Ho laughed. "We didn't do anything. See you around Lord Kia Ha." Ji Ho and the others bowed before going back to their stations, While Ki Ha went back to the 7th floor. 'Wish the problems with Sung Hoon and Jinwoon could be fixed like this.'
