Sora's P.O.V
Mia and I were walking to school, smiling and talking about our future. "So Sora, what do you want to be when you graduate?" I was asked as I looked up a bit, thinking. "Hmm well first I think I would start as a part-timer, then meet a good woman, then get married, then start a full-time job at… hmm maybe a game company." Mia just looked at me as we kept walking to school as she mumbled. "W-Well after I graduate I want to be with you." I managed to hear her say something, but I couldn't hear what she said.
"What was that little one?" I asked her as she blushed brightly. "N-Nothing! Nothing!" she said as quickly as she could, as I tilted my head. "Uh ok then, well we better hurry up to school so we are not late," I said as I started to run a bit to the school. "R-Right!" She replied as she ran to catch up to me. I smiled as we continued to walk slightly running to school. After about 10 minutes we arrived at school, I looked up at the building sighing. "What's wrong Sora?" Mia asked me as I looked down at her.
"Oh nothing, it's just it's my last two years here, I'm a junior now and I don't fully know what I'm going to do after here." I sighed again looking up at the clouds, as Mia hugged me. I looked at her confused as she was smiling. "Hey, it'll be ok, no matter what we'll be together right?" This caused me to blush a bit as I nodded gently. "Yeah we will, together till we die." I said as I smiled gently, causing her to smile. We head into the school building as we see that there are less people than normal.
"Hmm strange? Are we early?" I asked as Mia shrugged her shoulders as we headed to the cafeteria. On the way there, we noticed that the wall looked slightly different. "Did they do a paint job overnight?" I was confused as Mia just shrugged again, which got my attention a bit. "Mia?" I said as I stopped looking at her, and instantly she stopped and looked at me. "Yeah Sora?" Her voice sounded a bit different as I just said. "Is everything ok? You haven't really said anything since we arrived here?" She just smiled, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable, but I ignored it. "Yeah I'm fine Sora."
I sighed as I pat her head as I smiled. "Ok, I was just worried is all, now let's go get our breakfast." Mia was still smiling and nodded as we headed to the cafeteria for our breakfast. About a minute or two we were halfway there as Mia accidentally bumped into someone. The person who she bumped into, gripped her shoulder as he seemed pissed. "Hey! Watch where you're walking!" He said which caused Mia to start shaking as I could tell she was scared. "I-I'm sorry sir, I'll be m-more careful." The person's grip was getting tighter, due to her small yelps in pain.
I quickly gripped his arm forcing it off her and basically throwing him to the ground. "Don't you know that you shouldn't put your hand on a lady, or even hurt them you bastard!" For a split second my eyes changed from black to a bright crimson red. He got up as he gripped his fist. "S-Sora it's ok, it was my fault." He faced me as people started to gather around us. "You think you're so tough?" I sighed as I put my bag down and put my hand up, popping my middle finger.
He swung his right fist as I put my arm up, blocking and pushing it away, then kneeing him in the gut pushing him away a bit. He gripped his stomach as he glared at me. "Is that all you got, bastard?" I asked, taunting him as he swung left fist as I moved out of the way, causing him to swing his right one, hitting me in the face. "Hah! Take that!" I smirked as he backed up causing a bit of blood to come from my nose, as he put up his fists ready to continue the fight. I slowly faced him as I wiped the blood off as I smirked again. "Lucky shot, now try that again!"
More and more people kept gathering around as I popped my index finger, In continuation to him swinging his right fist, with me quickly moving away, he then swung his right elbow back to try to catch me off guard. I quickly swung my left hand around my head catching his elbow. "This is all you can do?" He quickly swung his left leg hitting my leg causing me to lose balance. Right when I lost my balance with the leg he kicked I quickly swung it up kicking him in the jaw, causing him to fall down.
Everyone was watching me and him fight as some teachers to break up the fight. "What's going on here?" I heard a male teacher ask as the students around us moved to see me and the guy I was fighting on the ground as I got up slowly as he was grabbing his jaw in pain. "Who started this fight?" I heard a female teacher ask, as I raised my hand up. "I did ma'am, I started it because he was being disrespectful to my friend." I heard a few teachers sigh as I looked at the guy on the ground.
"Next time, don't be rude to a lady, or anyone." I said as I went up to Mia, smiling with some blood flowing out again as I smiled gently. "You ok, Mia?" I ask as she slowly nods, a few teachers come up to me. "Sora, we need you to go to the principal's office." I sighed as I reached into my pocket, pulling out some money, handing about 5 dollars to Mia. "Here this should cover the breakfast fee, and possibly the Lunch fee." I said as I gave her a small smile as I turned to head to the office.
I could only guess that she was looking at me as I walked away. It took about three minutes to arrive at the principal's office,with me I knocked on the door gently. "Come in." I slowly opened the doors to see the principal sitting in his chair. "Hey, what's up!" I said trying to avoid a possible expelling. "So I'm guessing you know why you are here?" I sighed as I rub the back of my head. "Hmm I'm guessing for school? Education?" I said in a joking tone as he sighed as I sat down.
"Yes you are correct, but the reason you are here with me right now is because of the fight from earlier." I sighed as I looked down a bit. "Look sir, it seemed like he was going to hurt my friend!" I said basically yelling as he sighed again. "Look I understand why you did it, but it's still not acceptable for you to do that, you nearly broke his jaw." I looked down as I gripped my fists a bit as he continued to say.
"After school for a week you will have a two hour detention, am I clear." I slowly as I slowly got up heading for the door, right when I reached the door he said one more thing. "Sora, look I know you're a good kid, and you were just trying to help, but violence isn't the way. Please remember that." I nodded as I opened the door and headed out, still frustrated. Right when I closed the door, my eyes for a split second changed from black to crimson red.
I walked down the hall as I heard people talk about me to each other quietly, and it frustrated me even more, to the point of me slightly snapping. "IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT ME, SAY IT OUT LOUD!" I yelled as I saw that everyone quickly ran away, causing me to sigh. I looked at a clock on the wall realizing that it's almost time for class to start. "Almost time for class huh? Damn, didn't even get to eat breakfast."
I start to head to my class as I wonder if Mia is ok. About three or four minutes pass as I reach the classroom, I look at the door. "Might as well get this over with." I said opened the door as everyone in class looked at me. I looked around as I found an empty seat, I headed to the empty seat in the back, I reached my seat, as I sat down. I looked out the window as the teacher went on explaining about math and such. I personally didn't care too much about math and such, I just wanted to be in a world where I could be useful and happy.
"Ra… Ora… SORA!" My teacher yelled snapping me back into reality as I quickly jumped up falling in my seat. "H-Huh? What's going on?" I asked as I heard a few snickers from my fellow class, as I slowly stood picking up my chair. "The problem on the board? How do you solve it." I looked at the board as I was trying to figure it out.

"Hmm well first you would have to change the signs, from subtraction, to addition." I started as everyone was looking at me, I smirked a bit. "Then once you do that the 5 and 3 will go from positive to negative, making it -5 and -3" I started to head up to the board as I grab the chalk and write on the board. "Meaning the new problem will be…"

"Next you would add terms, like -5 and -3 making -8." I said as I wrote that on the chalkboard and continued. "Then you would add 3x and 9x making 12x." I wrote that on the chalkboard as the problem was now completed. "That would leave you with…"

I put the chalk down as I headed back for my seat. It felt like everyone was watching me as I sat back down. As the day went on, it slowly started to feel different, like nothing was real. I was walking to lunch as I heard someone's voice behind me. "Sora! I missed you!" I turned around to see Mia as she ran to me hugging me. "Huh, Mia it's only been a few hours." I said as she looked at me pouting cutely.
"I know but I still missed you dummy…" I laughed a bit before patting her head gently. "I missed you too little one." When I said that she blushed softly as she looked at me with a small smile. "R-Really you missed me?" She said that so innocently that it made me smile. "Yes of course, how could I not miss my little one." She looked so happy that I smiled as I held out my hand.
"Let's go have lunch." She grabbed my hand smiling softly. "Y-Yes sir!" She said as we both walked to lunch as she held my hand. I could see others looking at us as I blushed a bit as Mia just smiled softly. "She looks so happy, I will make sure she keeps that smile."
Future Sora's quick P.O.V.
That was the promise I made to myself that started this all… I did everything possible to keep her safe… even risked my own life…
Mia's P.O.V.
Sora and I were walking to lunch, I was smiling holding his hand. "What should we have for lunch Sora?" I asked as he looked up slightly as I could see his thinking face. "He's so cute when he makes that face!!" I giggled a bit, seeing his face start to blush a bit. "H-How about I get the cheeseburger with a salad and you get…" I quickly cut him off as he looked at me. "I want the same thing as you!" I yelled slightly as he sighed softly, smiling a bit.
"Look, you don't have to eat what I eat ok?" He said softly with a gentle smile, I pouted softly. "I know! I want to eat it!" I slightly yelled as people looked at us, seeing him blush I knew he gave in. "F-Fine you win." He said as I smiled brightly with me jumping a bit. "Yay! I win!" He just smiled as I could hear a small chuckle. "W-What's so funny!" I said, blushing a bit as he laughed a bit more. "Nothing, anyway ready little one." He said as I nodded softly as I grabbed his hand, walking down to the cafeteria.
Sora's P.O.V.
We walked to the cafeteria for about three minutes as I looked around to still notice that there still weren't that many people here. "Strange, even if we did arrive early, there should still be more people here?" I thought as I sighed softly arriving at the cafeteria. I looked around for a seat noticing that it was also nearly empty here, I shrugged it off as we went up to get our food. We arrived at the counter as a lady went up to us from behind the counter.
"What can I get for you two today?" She asked in a gentle and kind tone of voice, with Mia quickly responding. "We want a cheeseburger for both of us!" She said in a happy tone as the lunch lady smiled softly. "Ok coming up, anything to drink?" I tilted my head as I thought for a second. "Hmm, maybe water for me, and get her a fruit punch drink." I knew she didn't really like drinking water that much as me, Mia was smiling with the lunch lady going into the back.
We waited for about a minute or two for our food, I looked back to see someone looking in our direction, like they were looking at me. I shrugged it off as our food had arrived, we took it and headed to a table to eat. We reached our table, sitting down in the corner of the room. "What to do after school today? Well after detention." I thought, looking at Mia eating her food. "Um excuse me?" We heard someone's voice behind us, as we turned to see a girl behind us. "Hmm yeah you need something?"
I asked with Mia still chewing her food looking at her. "U-Um would it be ok if I sit with you two?" She asked, I nodded slightly with a smile. "Sure, I don't mind, do you mind little one?" I asked looking at Mia, with her shaking her head. "Well that means she doesn't mind, so take a seat." I said with a smile, as Mia smiled with some crumbs of bread on her face. "O-Ok!" The girl said, sitting across from us, with me grabbing my water, and taking a drink from it.
"U-Um I'm Cherry, it's nice to meet you!" She said softly, as I put my water down, with me grabbing a napkin, wiping Mia's face. "H-Hey! What's that for?!" She yelled slightly blushing. "You had some food on your face." I said smiling a bit, with Mia pouting a bit. "I'm Sora, and this little one is Mia." Mia waved her hand, as she got a bit close to me. "S-So are the two of ya dating?" This caused the two of us to blush a bit. "N-No we are just friends, but I think of Mia like my own daughter." Mia was just nodding as she blushed a bit.
"I see, s-sorry I thought you two were dating." She said, smiling a bit, as we could see a small blush. "I-It's ok, we are used to it." I smiled a bit grabbing my water, and chugging it down, as Mia did the same thing with her fruit punch drink. We both slammed down our cups that had our drinks in it.
Cherry's P.O.V
I watched them chug their drinks, and slam them down, I heard the girl named Mia say. "I win, I beat you!" Then Sora said. "Yeah right little one, I finished first!" They went on arguing about who finished their drink first for about 3 minutes. I continued to watch, as I couldn't help but laugh a bit. They stopped arguing when I was laughing a bit. "Hey what's so funny?!" Mia said slightly yelling. "S-Sorry I just found it funny when you two were arguing."
I said when Sora rubbed the back of his head, smiling a bit. "Yeah sorry about that, that's kinda like a daily routine." He said softly as he pats Mia's head softly, causing her to blush. "Y-Yeah, the loser had to buy lunch at school the next day, and I have yet to lose this month!" She said smiling brightly, with a hint of blush in her cheeks. "So Sora has been buying you lunch for the past month?" I asked with Sora shaking his head. "No, the last three months, I had to get a part time job to afford both of our lunches."
I could hear a soft sigh, with him grabbing his cup. "Well why not just make lunch at home?" I asked as it seemed like Mia's face lit up a bit. "I never thought of that!" Mia slightly yelled. "I mean I could, but I'm not a very good cook, and knowing Mia, she won't eat a simple sandwich." He looked at his food slightly. "Well I could teach you how to cook, if you want." I said with him looking at me. "You know how to cook?"
I nodded slightly. "I would say I'm a pretty good cook." I said with a small smile. "Well then, I would appreciate it if you taught me how to cook." He replied with a gentle and warm smile. I slightly blushed, nodding. "O-Of course! I would be glad too! S-So should I come to your house, or should you come to mine?" I asked as it looked like he was thinking for a bit. "I would say my place, but if mom saw me bring another girl home besides Mia, she would flip."
"Why's that?" I asked with him sighing. "Mom thinks me and Mia are going to be married in the future, with how close we are." He looked down slightly. "W-What about my place?" Mia said softly. "Little one, remember this morning with your mom and sister?" I saw him pat her head softly, with her nodding. "Well I think we know I would need to be taught at your place." I nodded, with him getting up, grabbing his tray. "Well, lunch is almost over." When he said that Mia stood up with her tray. "Lunch is way too short, I barely get to spend time with you Sora…" I heard him laugh a bit before saying. "Little one, you know we spend time together everyday after school right?" She pouted softly. "Y-Yeah, I know, but I don't care HMPH!" She stormed off slightly, with me seeing a small blush on her face.
"So Sora, want to meet me after school?" He looked at me, and I swore for a spit second his eye color went from black, to crimson red. "I won't I have detention today, but I'll be able to afterwards." He said as he ran off to catch up with Mia. I watched him run off, slightly blushing. "D-Did I just invite a boy over after school?! AHHH MOM'S GOING TO KILL ME, OR NEVER LET ME LIVE THIS DOWN!!" Nexting I saw someone walking up to Sora.
He looked like he had some bandages on his face, as he grabbed Sora's shoulder. "Hey, I would like to talk to you, alone." Sora just stopped and stood there as Mia stopped and turned around, with her face going pale slightly. "Can't you see, I'm trying to throw my trash away, and head to class." The way he said that, it sounded like it was someone's else's voice. "You think I give a damn!? Either meet me outside, or your little girlfriend will get hurt!" I saw Sora slowly turn around with a deadly look in his eyes.
