Lea felt cold and with that she opened her eyes slowly.
She saw a couple of eyes staring at her and in shock, she sat upright and looked around the luxurious room that she was in.
The bed is so pushy and comfy. The walls of the house looks so good alongside with the art of the hands of the olden men.
They're many ladies in the room. Each one of them, staring at her as she also did the same.
Some of the ladies lips broke into a small smile of welcome, but all Lea faced at that moment, was fear and shock.
"Whe-where am I?" Lea asked and the ladies eyes open wide, because of her accent and the way she spoke English. So fluently and magnificently.
"This is a- " one of the ladies got cut short when the door to the room split open and in came a man with a suit and behind were two women.
"Where is the new miss?" he asked and all the ladies pointed at Lea.
Lea's heart pounded. Why were they all pointing at her?
"Take her to have a shower. Give her new clothes and something to eat. Please do it quickly, she must have to see the King" the butler said.
King? Lea thought, What king?
Soon, the two women walked into the room and towards her in silence. When they got before her, one of the woman that had a beautiful face spoke out.
"Ma'am, My name is Lin. May I know yours?" she asked Lea.
Lea stared at her like they told her to recite the alphabets for the very first time.
She kept quiet and hesitated. She scanned the lady's face in fear and shock. She couldn't talk because of the fear she felt at that moment. The shock that arouse in her when that hard object smacked her head last night was still affecting her, terribly.
"You don't speak English?" Lin asked and Lea snapped back to her senses and stared at the other maid's face.
"My name is Lea" Lea whispered, but with the catchy ears of Lin and a few girls that surrounded her, she was heard in a soft way.
"Okay Lea. I'll be your care keeper. Please follow me, so that you can get a bath" Lin said with a stretched hand towards Lea.
Lea loved the smile of Lin. It gave her peace of mind that she was safe in the place she is in now. A very good state of mind.
Lea, with full assurance that Lin was a good person, accepted her hand in delight and joy and together, they left the room with the other girls watching behind them.
A girl among them stared suspiciously at Lea. She knew what she had in mind to become in Banneui.
But the new girl seemed to be an obstacle.
Lea, and the maids arrived at a golden coloured door, the edges were smooth and it have an exciting sight.
"Here is your towel" Lin said and that was when she realized that the second maid hasn't been given a chance to introduce herself to Lea.
"Pardon me Lea. By my side is Sarah. She is going to also be a personal care keeper" Lin said and Lea smiled at her with a gentle nod, which Sarah appeased to.
"Here's your toothbrush, the toothpaste is already on it. The bubbles are all set. We are outside here if you need anything" Lin said and handed over to her the toothbrush. Lea collected it, alongside with the towel and Lin and Sarah left her all alone in the bathroom.
Someone from Maneth don't know what a bathtub is. Applicable to Lea.
She stared at the white bowl in front of her and blinked. She hardly knew what bubbles were in bathing water, except when the soap applied splashes into the water, then it may be a foamy one.
But, she had to change to a newly transformed life which she hoped she would enjoy, at least after awhile before she is released hopefully.
Lea got her clothes off her body slowly and hanged them on the hanger in the bathroom. She dug the toothbrush into her mouth, her body being stroked with the coldness of the toothpaste from inside her mouth.
She brushed like a normal person and guessed that since there was no bowl to fetch water from the bathtub, she got into he bathtub without being told to do so by her conscience, and sat there. Knowing nothing else to do.
After she was done having a bath, she used the towel to tie round her chest and walked out with her hair dripping wet and her body was all cleaned up now.
Lin smiled and so did Sarah as they both stared at Lea in surprise of her cleaniness over a short period of time.
"That's done. Now, let's get some dresses for you" Sarah said as they both led her to another completely different room.
The room is magnificent and portable. It got a wallpaper that is superb and wonderful, too good to be what Lea imagined.
But all Lea thought of was her dad. Is her dad safe wherever he is? Will he risk his life to find her if he got the opportunity to?
Lea had a bunch of random and silly questions in her head because of panic.
"This would go perfectly on you" Lin said and held out a yellow gown that got little flays on the neck.
"When are we going to see our parents?" she asked and Sarah looked at Lin and as she did likewise.
That was a question that wasn't meant to be asked to maids, Lin thought and Sarah opened her mouth to reply.
"Ummm... Lea, that's upto the king's decision. He decides where you stay now that you're in the castle"
Lea was shocked to her soul.
So... Does that mean I have to stay here till he decides when I leave?, she asked herself.
