Lea didn't know what to say. But with the training her father had made her to go through, she learnt that at all ages, respect should be a number one priority.
"Good day, your Majesties" Lea said.
Her voice echoed and the King and Queen's eyebrows shot up in shock.
In all the girls that had come to see them due to the capturing party that had just been put to an end, only Lea had a nice manner. Others will come into the throne room and stand like a statue and greet them with pride. Some will stand with fear.
Well, those that stand with fear has a reason to stand in fear because of never seeing their parents again.
Basseneu stared at Lea and with a warm smile, and asked her a few questions.
"Your name is Lea?" Basseneu asked.
"Yes your Majesty" Lea said.
The Queen smiled at her and Lea smiled faintly, in return to her gesture.
"How old are you?"
Lea remembered that question coming out from one of the soldier's mouth when they wanted to capture her.
"I'm eighteen years old" Lea answered casually.
The Prince, as she could guess, was staring at her intensely. His blue eyes giving her a chill.
"Do you have a family?" The Queen asked
Lea paused and twitched her mouth in anger. Her face showed no expression but blankness and calmness.
"Yes... I have a father" she replied.
King Basseneu waited patiently, wanting her to finish her statement. But what he expected never came out of her mouth.
"What about your mother?" Queen Sarah asked and Lea swallowed her saliva hard.
Of course she have a mum. But she don't know who she is, how she looks like and all this made her feel like there was a missing piece in her life.
"I'd prefer not to talk about that... "
"You're before a Royal Family. You don't choose what to talk about around here... "
"And you don't choose what she should tell us, in here!"
The Prince stood up from his throne when Jen Kun retorted the answer of Lea.
All his family members turned to face him as he spoke to Jen Kun.
"She don't even know how to talk to the Royal blood!" Jen said with a yell and stood up to face her brother.
"And you don't even know how to act accordingly, to the Royal Blood!" The Prince yelled.
Everywhere is silent now. Jen and her brother staring at each other as they both panted.
Lea's face turned into a scary one. She never wanted to cause an argument between the two siblings.
"Stop... Please... I didn't mean t-to... "
"Calm down Dear... " The third Princess, Mia said.
Lea's eyebrows were still furrowed in fear. She couldn't bear the sight of seeing two siblings fighting over such a minor case.
And another thing, the Princess that yelled at her because of her mother, seemed mean to Lea.
"It isn't your fault" Mia completed and Lea kept quiet.
Basseneu stood up from his throne and faced his children.
"Jen Kun, this lady was not brought here for you to know all her details! ..." Basseneu said and Jen breathed in anger and hatred for Lea.
"And Son, she is your Senior. There isn't any authority in your blood to yell at anyone except those that are younger than you and ... "
"Please, Stop!" Lea yelled and everywhere grew silent.
"I didn't come here to see a family fighting over someone that is a poor citizen of a nearby town, and being yelled at by each other, it isn't right" Lea said and everyone stared at her.
"Of course, our little new girl is right... " Jen Kun said.
She turned to face her family and said;
"We shouldn't be fighting over such a minor case because she wants to break that bond... "
"Jen Kun!" Queen Sarah, Lola and Mia yelled in embarrassment.
"Shut up!!!" The Prince thundered and even Basseneu added his.
"What type of thing is this?!" He yelled and Lea's eyes flowed with hot tears.
"Stop!" Lea yelled in a shaky voice and ran out of the throne room.
Why does she always bring fights over families?, she thought. Is it because her mother isn't alive? Or probably she is not with her dad?.
She kept questioning herself over and over again.
"Miss Lea!" Sir Butler yelled and followed from behind her.
Valdemar turned to Jen Kun in total anger.
"See what you've caused!"
With that, he ran out of the throne room to look for Lea.
Jen Kun smiled wickedly.
"Jen, that is a wrong thing to do" Lola cautioned and ran behind the others to look for Lea.
Basseneu stared at Jen in anger and embarrassment that such act came from his daughter.
"Out Jen! I don't want to see you in this room for the rest of the day!" he yelled in anger and Jen didn't hesitate to stand up and leave.
Mia following closely from behind.
Jen said nothing but kept the wicked signature smile on her face and avoiding her parents and sisters looks. It was clear that everything happened the way it did because Jen Kun had arranged something.
But what was it?
"Sister Jen, that little girl just came into the Castle"
"She is not even worthy to see our brother, Mia" Jen said as she turned to face Mia who struggled to keep up the with Jen.
"Valdemar is just too naive about marriage. When I have found a lady much more better for him" Jen said and chuckled wickedly.
Meanwhile, after racing a little bit, Lea got lost because so many doors were everywhere. She didn't know which one to enter and which one not to.
But upon hearing the footsteps that were making its way to her, she quickly grabbed one of the doors knob and pushed it open.
Her mouth fell in astonishment and surprise.
She couldn't hide her surprise. When she started hearing the footsteps coming closer, she quickly closed the door and went to another door and relaxed her back on it. Her head between her knees as she breathed in and out several times.
Lea was sweaty. She knew that her eyes hasn't been failing her, so right now there was no doubt that it will fail her.
Finally, the footsteps stopped abruptly beside her.
From the space between her legs, she saw the shoe of a man, and then came the shoes of a lady.
Slowly, it came towards her and as she watched, her heart began racing.
"Lea?" It was Sir Butler's voice that was heard first.
Lea slowly raised her head up to stare directly into the eyes of Valdemar who was now in front of her...
And on one of his knees.
