Lamina and Lea walked all over the market and still, what was inside the basket of Lea was just some dry carrots and veggies that can only satisfy she and her dad for one or two days.
"Will these be okay for the week?" Lamina asked with concern all over his voice.
"I have some food at home that will last for the week, but, I don't want to exhaust it before I get another set" Lea said.
Lamina smiled at her tiredly.
"Your wisdom always surprise me, Lea" he said and leaned forward.
He pressed his lips on the forehead of Lea and withdrew to see her reaction. Lea blushed profusely as her whiteness displayed the pinkness of her cheeks.
"You're indeed a beauty" Lamina chuckled and Lea giggled softly.
"Where do we go to from here?" Lea asked and Lamina surveyed the whole market area. Lea used that opportunity to really take a look at Lamina's face, the little moustache and his hair that's is curved up at the front of his head really caught her attention.
When she saw the neck of Lamina preparing to turn to face her, she quickly turned her face to her right hand side and pretended to be staring elsewhere.
Lamina turned to stare at her and didn't know why he couldn't get his eyes off her, even for a second.
Lea's curiosity eventually grew and when she turned to see what Lamina was doing and what he was looking at, her eyes got caught up in his eyes.
It was an embarrassment for Lamina. A total and disgraceful, and somehow cute one.
It brought Lamina to a state of disgrace because she caught him staring at her in a type of calm manner.
"What's wrong?" Lea asked and Lamina's eyes widened in embarrassment and shyness all of a sudden.
"N-no-nothing, everything is totally fine" he stuttered.
Lea smiled at him and nodded, and went back to scanning the place for where they can get little veggies, instead of legumes.
"Lorn!" Lea called and Lorn neighed in response and walked upto them.
Lorn stood in between Lea and Lamina because he never liked Lamina ever since Lea introduced him to Lamina.
Lamina loved horses when he was eight back then and Lea was six. But when Lea introduced the horse to Lamina, he started acting somehow whenever the horse was with Lea.
Lorn even though it's an animal, hated it when another human didn't like it when he relates with his master whenever he wanted to, so he made sure that both physically and mentally, Lamina will always be seperated from Lea, no matter how hard it takes it to make that happen.
Lea climbed unto the back of Lorn and stretched her hand out to Lamina.
"Come with me. The edge shift must have a lot of what we are looking for" Lea said, offering him a helping hand.
Lorn neighed in disagreement and wanted to run off but Lea knew how to get to Lorn so he could calm down.
"Easy boy" she whispered into his ears, leaning forward and tapping his head.
"It's okay, Raina can take me there" Lamina said.
Raina is Lamina's horse. It's like Lorn but it's a brown and a female one. Lorn is a black and a male horse.
Lamina whistled and a sparkling brown horse came to the front of Lamina and he majestically climbed upon it.
Lea stared at the whole scene and wondered whether Lamina and Lorn were competing for who will win the most finest girl both in horses and in humans i.e Raina and Lea.
It was like when Lorn saw this he rolled his eyes in disgust, it couldn't be seen because of it's blackness and also because he is a horse, no one knew whether horses rolled their eyes so... Non of them could tell.
"Are you ready?" Lea asked.
It was obvious that they were but just to satisfy the lady, Lamina nodded and Lea smiled at him.
"Alright Lorn, it's you and me now. Hiya!" Lea yelled and the horses sped upto the edge shift of Maneth.
Lorn ran with so much violence and speed so as not to make Raina keep up with him. But Raina is a female horse, who runs the world? Girls!!!
Raina sped upto the level of Lorn but Lorn was still ahead of her.
But when they were at the same level of speed, Lamina stared at Lea who's head is straight forward and staring at the front like it will never end.
But again, his eyes soon got caught in Lea's which makes the riding of the horses more better and interesting.
Lea smirked at him and watched his nervousness arise greatly as his face turned red and the corner of his mouth slightly rose.
The edge shift of Maneth is the border of Maneth where people cross to get to the next town. That's where the grains and crops of Maneth flourishes and seems like it will never stop growing.
They got there and the horses were stopped by their cute riders and both Lea and Lamina climbed off their horses with Lea's basket held tightly by her.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Lamina asked an Lea smiled, staring out at the atmosphere.
"It sure is" she whispered and nodded.
Gently, Lea plucked out some grains and with Lamina's help, the basket she had in her hands was filled with both veggies and legumes.
"I wonder why Maneth's glory is at the end of it" Lamina said, wanting to start a conversation.
"We all do. Do you think it's a curse?" Lea asked and Lamina shook his head in pity for the town of Maneth and its citizens.
"It can be. But if it is, by whom?" Lamina asked.
Lea stared ahead and sighed in deeply.
Maneth is a poor town. Everyone knows that. But history don't use the term "Poor". They actually recommend Maneth to travellers who is on a long journey. But what made it another case? No one knew.
"I don't know. Perhaps we will find out"
