{ Xavier Carver }
"Go first for what?" I questioned. "Well, Xavier was it? We're going to play a little game." Isaiah stepped forward, "What kind of game?" Shade looked down for a little bit and cleared his throat. "I will take that as you volunteering to go first, Isaiah."
Isaiah looked around the room at me and our friends trying our best to keep our composure. "Yeah, fine, whatever. I'll play your fucking game." Shade waved his hand, everyone out." Nobody budged, we all stared at him. "You don't have to leave, go to a different room." Hunter got up first, he sped walked to another room. I followed after him and everyone else came too, but not Isaiah. He watched us all walk into his room, he watched as we all left him to play Shade's game.
Isaiah's room was dark, illuminated only by the dim moonlight shining through the window. "L-lights please." Hunter whispered. Lexi blindly searched for the light switch, patting the wall until her hand found it. Isaiah's room was relatively clean, save for two soda cans and two glasses with a light brown liquid in them on the t.v tray next to his bed. Opposite of his bed was a closet with sliding mirror doors, his bed had two pillows and one blanket on top of his light grey sheets. Hunter sat on top of Isaiah's bed and dangled his feet. "So..." Lily began, "What now?" silence. "What the fuck is happening?" Hunter sniffed out, "I thought we were over this."
"We were..." Lexi breathed. "Well clearly not," Hunter's voice was shaking and just above a whisper, "What the fuck is happening." He repeated. I turned around to face my other friends, Kaylen had her ear against the door, Lily's eyes were glazed over and she was staring out the window, and Lexi was sitting on the floor next to her girlfriend trying to think of something to say. "Fuck!!" Kaylen jumped back at the sudden noise from the living room.
Hunter shot up and sped walked to the door. "Hunter, what are you doing?" Lexi got up as fast as him. "He could be in trouble!" Hunter reached for the door handle, but Lily grabbed his hand. "We don't know what'll happen if we go out there." She explained. "Isaiah could be in trouble. Let me through." He demanded with determination in his eyes. There was no stopping him, but we could try. "They're right Hunter, Isaiah would want us to stay in here. We can't let you go too-" I began.
"Jackson wanted us to stay inside too." He cut me off. Tears started balling up in his newly dried eyes. "We should go together." Kaylen jumped in. "Okay." I sighed.
