In his private palace, Vaikuntha mahal, God King Arya sat on a low, wooden stool, behind his writing desk, in front of an open window. Outside the window was an open sky where thick, white cloud loomed, moving tiringly slow. Heaven never went dark, even at night. The divine lights always glowed bright, enough to make Arya's head pound and there was no indication of the time of the day.
Sometimes, Arya would be so deeply absorbed in his scriptures, he would lose track of time, sending necessary court matters into disarray. After the last episode, he acquired a sundial, a mortal invention, and placed it at the corner of his writing desk. Thenceforth, he checked the dial from time to time whenever he sat down for his scholarly routine.
