Chapter 4 - EPISODE 4: THE UNBEARABLE PAST

EPISODE 4: THE UNBEARABLE PAST

OUTER SPACE, (HOLY PLACE) IN THE RUINED VILLAGE OF YUTO-DAY

Yūto is frozen, sweat running from his face. The man approaches him and stands in front of him, with a smile asks him)

FATHER

Yūto, don't you remember me?

(Yūto is skeptical and takes a step back)

YŪTO

Who are you?!

(The father stands in the same position he is in without taking a step)

YŪTO

Should I remember a stranger?! Where am I?! What kind of weird place is this?! Explain yourself, man!

(The father with bowed head advances towards yūto saying with regret)

FATHER

You were little when we lost you, this strange place is the village where you grew up. But not in the real world right now.

it is located in the sacred place. This is where people who die come to rest their souls and be at peace.

(Yūto clenching his fists shouts again)

YŪTO

Lies! IT'S ALL A DREAM! A TRAP!

(Yūto bends his head too, saying in a low voice)

YŪTO

You're not my father. I don't know you, I've never seen you before in my life! You are…

(And in a loud voice howls)

YŪTO

Demon! THAT YOU ARE A DEMON!

(Directly a strong wind begins to blow. Yūto opens his palm, and his purple fire bursts from within. The father does not react and says nothing, unlike yūto attacking. But the father with a sudden movement grasps his arm and embraces him. The air stops abruptly, and in yūto's mind come various images of the tragedy. Images such as: his father and grandfather smiling, his brother shouting and fighting demons with his orange fire and finally his mother crying as she throws him into the river. Yūto understands what he was going to do, his eyes fill with tears, at the same time while crying he screams. The father holds him tightly in his arms)

YŪTO

I don't understand.

(Father catches him by the shoulders)

FATHER

Know. But, if you want to know your story, if you seek and want to know your real side, come with me and I will show you the way.

(The father starts to walk, yūto follows him. After a little walking they come to a beautiful river)

OUTDOOR AREA, NEAR THE RIVER-DAY

YŪTO

I still don't understand, what are we gonna do here?

(His father says with a smile on his lips)

FATHER

It's time to make up for the lost time you lost with your father and protect everyone who needs your help. Time passes faster than we think, and demons are increasingly taking people.

(But yūto again does not understand and asks)

YŪTO

What do you mean by that?

FATHER

I mean I'll teach you like any father of demi people to control your fire. No, I'll teach you to become something

better than a simple warrior ... I will teach you in such a way that you become a demon hunter and live a true life!

(In the mind of yūto come the words of itachi)

THE FLASHBACK BEGINS:

ITACHI

No, yūto, I didn't save you.I saved you. Don't underestimate yourself, you'd make a great demon hunter.

(Yūto comes back from recollection and asks the father)

RETURN FROM THE FLASHBACK OF THE PAST:

YŪTO

What is demon hunter, dad?

(Father sits down on the ground by the river)

FATHER

Demon hunter is a man or demi man who possesses incredible fighting skills that only he can successfully cope with demons without dying and defend the weak.

(Yūto thinks)

YŪTO

Demon hunter?

(And into his mind come various images. Images like: fighting with demons and saving a beautiful girl and the crowd cheering. Yūto excited and seeing them so easily, replies with a smile)

YŪTO

Great, when do we start?! I want to be demon hunter I can't wait!

FATHER

The lesson has begun. But, just so you know, you're going through a series of very hard to impossible tests to see if you're really capable of becoming a demon hunter. Tests not so much of muscular strength, but of mental balance. Am I clear?

(Yūto full of joy says)

YŪTO

Yeah, yeah, I promise you I won't give up, and in the end I'll prove myself to you.

(Father half smiles)

FATHER

I see, we begin then.

(father and yūto are standing and facing each other. Father tells yūto with stern gaze as some birds watch them)

FATHER

First lesson, a demon hunter should always have confidence and faith in himself. He still has to find peace of mind and always think with composure and with positivity, to think that everything will be fine because everything will be fine in the end hehe. But all this is very general, what to make a demon hunter peace of mind and dispassionate thinking while he has not learned to beat and avoid the opponent's movements. So for you, that's the main lesson, and we'll start with them. You should always be alert and…

(But before the father finishes his sentence, yūto pops out saying)

YŪTO

Really?! Teach me the movements, I want to learn the movements of the fire technique. I know how to dodge and hit, that's boring stuff for me.

(Father half smiles slyly)

FATHER

You want to know the moves, huh? Okay, let's start from the most important and basic movement, let's start from the foundations of the technique.

(The father leans back one of his two legs and says)

FATHER

FIRE CYCLE!

(With these words he raises his feet high while leaning with both his hands on the ground. Then he abruptly turns his arms round and his whole body together with his feet that put out the yellow fire, and then he makes a semicircle of fire. Yūto is amazed and full of admiration, says)

YŪTO

Amazing! Teach me that move, it was so amazing! I want to learn it, teach it to me.

(The father approaches him and tells him as he shows him the way he made her)

FATHER

First, you're going to stretch your back leg to get some momentum and then you're going to put your hands down on the ground to get balance.

(After yūto has done it and is upside down with feet up and hands touching the ground, he says)

YŪTO

Somewhere, huh?

(Father corrects Yuto's leg posture and opens his arms a little more to have better balance)

FATHER

Now twist your arms so you can twist your whole body and your legs together. Another secret yūto, your legs should be slightly bent at the height of the head of the demon you will be facing. If they're not bent, you'll have a bit of a hard time, or there's a good chance you'll fail.

(Yūto makes the turn but loses his balance and falls down to the ground. Grasping his head he says:)

YŪTO

Ouch, ouch. I'll make it!

(So he does the turn again but falls again, then the father corrects him again by telling him)

FATHER

Your feet have a slight difference between them. Don't put them together or you won't be able to make the turn. Open the palms of your hands to have more balance.

(Yūto tries again and again)

YŪTO

Like this?

(But again falls down)

FATHER

Better now, try again and you'll make it.

(as yūto tries to perform the fire cycle move the father says)

FATHER

The fire is inside you. The fire is bubbling from inside you and you have to get it out, now try again!

(Yūto screams saying)

YŪTO

YES, I WILL!

(It has come in the afternoon and the father keeps telling yuto that he is trying)

OUTDOOR AREA, NEAR THE RIVER-AFTERNOON

FATHER

Again! Again! Again! Again! Again! Again! LET'S GO, ONE MORE TIME!

(Yūto filled with sweat on his face catches his knees and as he takes quick breaths looks at the father)

YŪTO

I'm tired, can we continue tomorrow?

(The father sits squatting with his eyes shut by the river in a serene attitude as if he is controlling something)

FATHER

Enough for today we'll continue tomorrow, you did great yūto, good for you.

(Yūto falls to the ground taking quick breaths. Then yūto approaches and sits down beside the father, so in wonder he asks)

YŪTO

Father, are you asleep?

(The father with his eyes closed says)

FATHER

No, I'm not sleeping, I'm just controlling the fire inside.

YŪTO

What do you mean you control the fire inside you? I can't understand that.

(The father opens his eyes and tells yūto while simultaneously looking at the setting sun)

FATHER

Fire is a force that can easily drag you out of control. The technique of fire is the technique that almost no one can control, not even me yet. It takes years of practice and effort but most of all, you have to be in control of yourself. If you don't do that, the fire will take control and make you her pawn, her slave.

YŪTO

What do you mean, you can get out of control?

(The father opens his eyes and looks at the horizon)

FATHER

Your fire feeds on your emotions. The art of fire is otherwise called the art of emotion for connoisseurs. In other words, fire is nourished by hatred and sorrow, even by optimism and joy. It can force you to do things you don't want, but also give you strength to continue your long journey. This is also why there is no

method of teaching it, but for this it is impossible for a man to learn the art of fire. You have to be very strong and know which way you're going.

(Yūto says proudly)

YŪTO

I'll make it, I promise! I will not let my fire take over me, for my way is to help all those people who need my help! I will not disappoint you, you will see it and one day when the sun rises again you will be proud of my achievements!

(The father catches yūto's head as he tells him with a smile and with closed eyes)

FATHER

Mmm, I know that, and in my turn I will always be with you, even when I don't seem By Your Side. You should know that, you should know that.

(Yūto smiles and agrees with his father, then they both look at the setting sun. The next morning yūto wakes up a little more slowly, wakes up and sees his father with a large branch trying to pin the various fish that are in the river. When the father sees that yūto is awake he smiles at him as he says)

OUTDOOR AREA, NEAR THE RIVER-DAY

FATHER

Good morning yūto.

(Then yūto also rubbing his eyes answers)

YŪTO

Good morning, Dad.

(Father shouts at yūto)

FATHER

Come on! Come here, come closer it's time for the next lesson.

(So after yūto takes a branch and lifts his pants a little so as not to get wet he goes into the river. The father stands opposite yūto and explains to him in a serious tone)

FATHER

One of the most important lessons is the speed that a demon hunter must possess. Demons are agile and fast, moving like shadows through the night. That's why you have to be observant and make quick decisions. Fishing owns them both, you have to observe and make quick decisions if you want to catch the fish and satiate your appetite.

(With these words the father and yūto set off to fish. Yūto looks closely at the river until the first fish appears. He does not lose a moment and with force throws his pole going to nail the fish, but does not succeed. Yūto goes and takes the pole. At the very moment when he lifts the pole through the water there appears a little further on another fish. So yūto with a sly smile makes a move to achieve it and when he succeeds, yūto celebrates and throws the fish ashore. After a long time we see that father and yūto have caught three fish each. Yūto again sees a fish and flies his pole to reach it. The father sees yūto's pole and without a second thought throws his own pole preventing him from reaching the fish. Yūto looks at his father surprised and angry cries)

YŪTO

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?! Let me get it, I was so close.

(Father half smiles saying)

FATHER

I thought I'd make our duel easier. We're tied, right? You have three fish, you and three I, whoever catches five wins the duel with the only difference now, I can prevent you from catching a fish, and with skill steal it through your hands. You can do the same, of course, ready?

(And with these words, the father lifts the pole and catches the fish that is at his feet, then takes out the pole the fish and throws it out on the ground with the other fish he has caught. Then he turns his head towards yūto and in an ironic tone says)

FATHER

Four for me, three for you.

(Yūto clenches his teeth and thinks)

YŪTO

I won't let him win. I have to be faster than him.

(At once yūto goes to catch another fish but gets in the way of Father's pole. Yūto takes back his pole and turns the Pole towards the father, then with the pole in his hands yūto performs impressive exhibitions to pierce the father's head. The father repels the blows of yūto with his pole and with speed tries to pin the fish, but yūto blocks his pole. As he repels all the movements of the father he says with an ironical look in the same time)

YŪTO

Not today hahaha.

(The father half smiles and twists the pole sharply to pin the fish, but the pole is jammed into the river between two stones. Yūto without losing a moment grasps the pole of the father and kicks him with both feet in the chest. The father Staggers a few yards behind, and from the friction raises water behind his feet. After stopping to (slide) into the water, the father raises his head and the trunk of his body, breaks {crack} his neck saying with an ironic look)

FATHER

Mmm, you're good. But not invincible.

(Yūto is confronted by his father and looks at him with a determined gaze, as does the father while the fish is in the middle of the river. Yūto clenches his teeth and attacks, and so does the father. After they have come very close together, the father makes a move to pin the fish. Yūto thinks of the first lesson the father had taught him as he simultaneously blocked his attacks. He thinks by closing his eyes)

YŪTO

You close your eyes, take a deep breath. Look out! You don't have to worry about time, you can do it when you feel ready. (As he says the steps yūto in his mind performs them simultaneously)

YŪTO

Now!

(And he opens his eyes, puts down his hands and with raised legs upward grasps his father's wood. So passing the wood between his two legs he breaks it, and in a surprising manner gets up and nails the fish. The waters of the river have been troubled while father is amazed, lowers his head a little and with a smile on his lips thinks)

FATHER

Mmm, he used the same technique with fire cycle as I taught him yesterday. Unbelievable, he finally made it. Well done yūto, I am proud of you.

(Yūto throws aside the fish he caught and tells the father)

YŪTO

It seems to me it's a tie or my eyes are laughing at me.

(So the father says with a sly smile on his lips)

FATHER

It's a tie. For now at least, but I won't be long in winning.

(Yūto with a sly smile again answers)

YŪTO

We'll see about that soon, don't be in a hurry to jump to conclusions, father! STILL NOTHING WAS LOST!

(The father is surprised and they sit down once more facing into the river. Until another fish appears. Yūto goes out like lightning going to nail it with his pole, but the father blocks it with his own pole. In an amazing way yūto attacks the father but the father in an amazing way and he repels every move he goes to make. The father meanwhile tries to catch the fish with his pole while at the same time repels the attacks of yūto. Thus we see the father and yūto performing very rapid attacks and repulses on each other. After an amazing battle with many attacks and amazing repulses, the father finds the opportunity that yūto is uncovered and kicks him sending him meters away. Yūto from the kick he received from his father is thrown away and falls into the water, his body bounces and again falls into the water, for the third time his body bounces, but this time he manages and turns his legs together with his body to rest on the ground in the water and not to fall once again face to the river. From friction he raises waters behind him. Yuto's face filled with bruises. Laughing father says)

FATHER

Hahahahahaaa I think I won, what do you say yūto?

(Yūto clenches his teeth and the fist of his hand holding the wooden pole. So he thinks as a drop of sweat rolls down his cheek and looks down at the water)

YŪTO

Damn, I'll lose, I'll lose! Everything is lost, it's meters away from me and one move to make it all ends here, all.

(But before he has time to finish his sentence he thinks of his father's words)

THE FLASHBACK BEGINS:

FATHER

First lesson, a demon hunter should always have confidence and faith in himself. He still has to find peace of mind and always think with composure and with positivity, to think that everything will be fine because everything will be fine in the end hehe.

RETURN FROM THE FLASHBACK OF THE PAST:

(Yūto comes back from the flashback and thinks again while he has raised his head high and wipes his face)

YŪTO

That's it, that's it! I have faith in myself, I can, I can. I can! You can do it yūto, you can do a lot more than you think you can and you know why? Do you know why?! YŪTO YOU KNOW?! Because you have people by your side who believe in you and will never stop believing in you!

(At that moment in yūto's mind appears the face of his mother, aiko, his father, itachi)

YŪTO

THAT MAKES YOU STRONGER, NO. THIS IS YOUR POWER! SO TRY, FIGHT IT, BECAUSE WHATEVER HAPPENS IN THE END, IN THE END…

(Yūto cries)

YŪTO

IN THE END I WILL REACH THE TOP! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS,I'LL WIN, I'LL WIN!

(Yūto takes a step and stands in front of the father. With the strength of his step the waters rise behind his. When the father sees that yūto is in front of him with a single step he thinks anxious but also happy, while at the same time he brings forward his pole to repel the attack of yūto)

FATHER

He could and ... and ... and ... and he did it HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! He was able to unlock the speed he needed to fight. Mmm now the real battle begins, ready Son, your journey awaits you, the train leaves, catch it!

(And with quick movements the father starts attacking yūto. Yūto changing in a fantastic way the pole in his hands and behind his back repelling all the blows that the father performs. The father tries hard to hit him, but yūto has found perfect harmony and repels all the incredibly fast blows that the father performs. After a while, after yūto has moved away from the father they stop the battle for a while and take quick breaths to rest. But quickly yūto again attacks. Finally kicks the pole held by the father, the pole is thrown up and to prevent it yūto makes a very high jump. With this jump he makes a pothole on the ground and the waters are thrown up, then reaches the height where the pole is and with a round kick while still in the air hits the pole. Father's pole is nailed to the trunk of a tree. Finally yūto grasps with both hands his own pole and falls with force on the fish pinning it. Waters rise again and yūto and the father are wet. Father smiles and yūto looks at Father happy)

YŪTO

Did you see me?! Did you see what I did?! I'm amazing lol I told you I'd win.

(Father strokes his head)

FATHER

Mmm, I saw very clearly. Not what you did, but what more you can do than you see, hehe.

(And kneels before his)

FATHER

And without realizing it, you're ready. I regret to announce that you can fight the Demons. Of course you still have a lot to learn, but here your time, in this world at least, is over. You are now ready to face any danger that threatens your family.

(Yūto embraces father)

YŪTO

Thank you! You were a very good teacher, thank you! I really thank you for everything you've done for me! I don't know how I can repay you, but one day you can be sure I will repay you.

(The father embraces him in turn)

FATHER

Mmm, glad to hear it.

(Father lets out of his arms yūto)

FATHER

I'm hungry, shall we eat?

(Yūto agrees. After they have lighted the fire and cooked the fish they caught they eat them. Evening has come, yūto is asleep. Then something awakens him, he gets up and approaches. It is the father who dances the dance of fire " the dance of fire is one of the movements of the technique of fire")

OUTSIDE, NEAR THE RIVER TO-NIGHT

YŪTO

What's he doing? what kind of move is that?

(The dance is so beautiful that yūto approaches and looks at the father. The pupils of his eyes grow and he thinks again)

YŪTO

This dance reminds me of something, but I can't remember what. That Yellow Ash that comes out of the cloak, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere, but I can't remember. It all seems so homely to me, but-but-well, it doesn't matter any more. But I feel a peace in me, what a beautiful dance, I wish I could dance it once in the near future.

(Yūto wonders and thinks again)

YŪTO

But why does he do that? Why is she dancing?

(Yūto yawns and scratches his eye with his hand)

YŪTO

(Yawning) who knows, maybe I'll learn that secret one day. I'm too tired to think now.

(And again he lay looking at his father dancing. After a while his eyes close so and he sleeps while the father continues

dancing. The next morning yūto has got up and is in front of the father at the spot where they first met)

OUTER SPACE, {HOLY PLACE} IN THE RUINED VILLAGE OF YŪTO-DAY

FATHER

This is where the lesson ends, my son.

(Yūto makes a bow)

YŪTO

Thank you, thank you very much.

(Father catches him by the shoulder and answers him with a smile)

FATHER

No, thank you yūto. I am glad to see you again once more after a long time. You Made Me truly happy and I lived again, I felt alive again thanks to you, my son, my only boy.

(From the father's eye rolls a tear, without yūto seeing it. Yūto embraces him)

YŪTO

No, no! I don't want to leave, I don't want to leave you, I want to stay with you.

(Father smiles and rubs yūto's head)

FATHER

But I will never leave you. Together we'll walk, together we'll eat, together we'll fight the demons, I'll be by Your Side in everything. Think I'll be a spirit following you, I'll be able to see you but you don't, you have to imagine me, okay?

(Yūto raises his head high and says

YŪTO

Promise? I promise you'll be with me?

(Father smiles and closes his eyes)

FATHER

Mmm, promise, forever?

(And he stretches out the little finger of his hand. Then yūto also with the little finger of his hand grasps the finger of the father. Yūto smiles and closes his eyes. After the promise he made, the father gets up from the ground and starts to move away but a question of yūto stops him)

YŪTO

Father. How will I perfect? Tell me your secret! How am I to learn all the movements of our craft?!

(The father looks at him from afar and stretches out his hand pointing to yūto's heart)

FATHER

If you're so longing to learn all the moves of our technique, don't think. Don't worry, just act! Everything will come out of you, the basics I have taught you, now it's time to pull your way and as you walk lighting it you will discover them. The only advice I can give you is to keep training every day, but perfecting a demon hunter is not based on physical strength, instead it is based on spiritual serenity. You'll figure it out for yourself some day like this. Now go, it's time to create your own path.

(So the father starts to move away, a few meters away he turns and stretches out his hand in farewell to yūto)

FATHER

Fight the demons inside you, boy, and you'll make it! TRUST IN LOVE, IN HATE, IN SORROW AND IN JOY! FIGHT YOUR DEMONS LITTLE HA HA HA HA!

(At that moment some white bandages appear and pin the father, then the bandages drag him through the forest. Yūto yells as he runs towards his father)

YŪTO

No! DAD!

(At once yūto comes out of the dream and sees himself holding aiko by the neck on the ground trying to drown her and with his other hand ready with fire to kill her. Aiko sees only the change in the color of yūto's eyes and says in a very low voice)

OUTDOORS, IN THE FOREST-DAY

AIKO

Yūto?

(Straight yūto flings himself back and falls on his knees with head bowed down. Aiko stands up with the help of a trunk from a tree next to her, coughing for a while as her voice comes back. Then with small steps he approaches him, yūto with lowered head says in a calm voice as aiko approaches him)

YŪTO

Go! GET LOST!

(Aiko, however, does not hear him and continues to walk towards him. Then with nerves and voices he raises his head and faces aiko)

YŪTO

GET AWAY, GET AWAY FROM ME! GET OUT OF HERE!

(Yūto again lowers his head down and in a low voice says)

YŪTO

I'm a monster! I'm different from you, I'd kill you, don't you see?! Go!

(Tears begin to roll down his cheeks and fall to the ground. But aiko says in a low voice)

AIKO

Yūto-

(Before completing her sentence, yūto cries out saying)

YŪTO

GO AWAY, I'M DANGEROUS, I'D KILL YOU GO AWAY…

(Aiko suddenly embraces him before finishing his sentence, saying with a smile on her lips)

AIKO

You're my brother, how can I leave you? Remember? I don't care if you're different from us, but you determine who you want to be, and I know you chose to be a good person. A man who wants to help, you can control your power, I'm sure of that.

(Yūto who hasn't hugged aiko and her arms are free eventually makes a move and hugs her while she starts screaming and crying. The demon laughs and the two children look at him)

DEMON

What a touching moment, lol. You may have killed me and protected the girl but not for long, there will be other demons stronger than me who-

(But before he has time to finish his sentence, yūto gets up from the ground and with nerves says looking at the demon)

YŪTO

SHUT UP, YOU USELESS WORM! I LOOK FORWARD TO FACING YOU ALL! I LOOK FORWARD TO KILLING YOU ALL ONE BY ONE! BUT UNTIL THEN GOODBYE BASTARD!

(And kicks the demon's head off. Then he turns and looks at aiko)

YŪTO

Let's go home aiko.

(aiko tries to get up, but she has a trauma to her leg)

AIKO

(SOUNDS OF PAIN)

(He has made a wound from the time that the demon threw it upon a stone. Then yūto says stooping ready to carry her)

YŪTO

I'd better carry you.

(Walking through the forest to get home, aiko asks a question to yūto)

AIKO

Yūto, why did you fight?

(And rests her head on yūto's back)

YŪTO

Huh?

(Yūto does in Wonder and turns his head towards aiko to look at her)

AIKO

You'd die. Why didn't he run for your life? Why didn't you leave me behind?

(Yūto says with a smile as he walks)

YŪTO

You remember a promise I made you, eh aiko?

THE FLASHBACK OF THE PAST BEGINS:

(A dog barks at yūto, yūto cries until aiko comes and drives him away. Then she turns and looks at him.)

AIKO

Are you okay yūto?

(Yūto with tears in his eyes shakes his head)

AIKO

I will always be with you to protect you.

(And he smiles. Yūto wipes his tears)

YŪTO

I promise, too, aiko. No matter what happens, I'll protect you.

(Aiko smiles and strokes his head)

AIKO

Mmm, do the best you can.

RETURN FROM THE FLASHBACK OF THE PAST:

AIKO

Yes yūto, it was a promise.

(And lying down on his back again, yūto smiles. Then they arrive in the village and a peasant passing by the entrance of the forest sees the two children coming out of the forest)

OUTDOOR SPACE, BETWEEN THE ENTRANCE OF THE FOREST AND THE VILLAGE-AFTERNOON

MAN

Yūto and aiko came out of the forest alive!

(So all the people gather there to see what happened. The mother approaches with anxiety on her face towards the two children and embraces them as a few tears come from her eyes)

MOTHER

Never do that again. You frightened me once more, you don't know how frightened I was.

AIKO, YŪTO

I'm sorry, mom, once again I'm sorry. We didn't really want it.

MOTHER

Shh don't talk.Do not blame yourself, do not blame yourself unfairly, to everyone it can happen, to everyone.

(Then the mother again embraces the two children, it is the evening hour)

OUTDOOR SPACE, BETWEEN THE ENTRANCE OF THE FOREST AND THE VILLAGE-AFTERNOON TO EVENING

MAN

Since they came out of the woods alive, we had better go home, for the night comes when they sleep.

(Villagers agree and everyone goes to their homes)

MOTHER

Come on, guys, let's go back to our house.

(As the children advance towards the House. Yūto turns his head to see the forest, looks at the forest and thinks)

YŪTO

That demon...

(And images come to his mind of that demon who caught the father in the white bandages and dragged him into the forest. Then he clenches his fist and thinks again)

YŪTO

I'll get revenge on you, Dad, I promise.

(At that moment the mother's voice is heard calling him)

MOTHER

Come on yūto, let's go home!

(Yūto looks at his mother and runs towards her. After they get home and go inside, the mother takes a bucket of water and a cloth, so she starts to clean the scratches that aiko has on her face. After cleaning aiko's scratches, the mother puts the two children to sleep, covers them and kisses them fondly on the forehead)

INTERIOR SPACE, IN THE BEDROOM OF YUTO AND AIKO-NIGHT

MOTHER

Good night, guys.

(And he drags the wooden door, closing it. Aiko closes her eyes saying with a smile)

AIKO

Thank you yūto, I am proud that you are my brother. You were so brave out there.

(And she turns her back, then yūto closes his eyes and smilingly answers)

YŪTO

And I'm glad to have you as my sister, nothing's gonna happen to you while I'm around, I promise. But I wonder what else awaits us.
