Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:High School Drama

"Arielle get up!Your going to be late!" Great. Mom alarm clock. I groggily get out of bed and walk to my dresser. The cold wooden floor a shock to my feet. I yawn as I pull out a black tight long sleeve shirt, a white jean short skirt, and my lace knee high socks. I tuck my shirt into my skirt and pull on my socks then walk to my bathroom in my bedroom. I run a brush through my dark brown hair and pull it up into a french braid bun. Next I put on mascara, shimmery silver eye-shadow, black eyeliner, and rose petal blush. I put on my favorite pair of earrings that are long pearls and I have a matching necklace.

As I am pulling on my knee high tight leather boots my mom yells again. "Arielle! Hurry up! Max is outside waiting!" I groan. "I'm coming Mom! I just have to grab my bag and phone!" I rush around my room grabbing them and skip down the stairs. "Morning, Dad." I kiss him on the cheek and grab a freshly made muffin for myself and Max. "Mornin' sugar." My dad replies. I am about to head out the door when my mom stops me. "Ah hem. Your forgetting something." I smile and rush to give her a kiss on her cheek too. "Bye Mom.Thanks for the muffins." I open the door and yell back, "Love you guys. Bye!" Max honks his horn at me and I rush to his black out camaro with silver rims. I open the door and throw my bag in then I climb in. "Yeah, yeah. I was coming." Max rolls his eyes."You look good today." I laugh. "I thought I looked good everyday?" "You do. Ooh chocolate muffins." He reaches over and grabs the muffin I grabbed him. "Yep, freshly made too."

Max has backed out of my driveway and now we are on the road to school. "You know you should bring breakfast more often." Chocolate smears his mouth, I laugh as I lick my finger and wipe the chocolate off. " I bring breakfast everyday."

Max huffs. " Yeah well you should bring muffins more." I giggle and pull out my phone. I scroll through Instagram and soon we are at school. I groan. "Aww man. Here already?" " 'Fraid so m'lady. Another day in hell." I giggle, grab my bag and open the car door stepping outside.

"At least its only a couple weeks until summer break. It's already warm and the sun is shining." Max puts his arms on top of his car and leans on it. "And your skirt is showing some leg which is earning a few looks from the meatheads." I turn around to see them doing just that. The jocks, aka 'meatheads', are staring at my legs. I shut his door and throw my bag over my shoulder. "Come on. Lets get inside." As we walk past the jocks I wink at them. "You know its rude to stare." They all quickly look away. "See? I can deal with them." Max pushes me gently. " I never doubted you could. But you shouldn't tease them like that, they may get the wrong idea. I don't like how they look at you." I loop my arm through his. " You know I was and still am yours first. They don't stand a chance against our love." I joke and we both laugh. Students walk past me and snicker while looking at their phones. I slow my pace a little. "What is everyone laughing about?" Max avoids my question. "Who knows? It's a bunch of immature teenagers stuck in one building. It could be anything. Let's get to class." I pull out of his grip. "No Max. I know you know whats going on.You wouldn't be rushing me to class otherwise. Why is everyone laughing at me?" He just shrugs nervously. " They aren't laughing at you." He says. "Yes they are. A couple of students just walked passed, looked at me and laughed." I pull out my phone and click on Instagram. A post automatically pulls up on my account. Its an old picture from freshmen year when I got covered in slime and feathers by Ian Braxton, the high school popular jock. It was at the bowling arena for his birthday and he asked me to go with him. I made the mistake of actually showing up. A bunch of comments pop up. That's the best shes ever looked maybe she should wear it more often.

Hey look its ChickenLegs!

Awesome this picture made my day.

If I had a bad day I just pull this picture up and it makes me laugh every time.

Someone got out of the coop.

I look at Max and hold up my phone. "Ari, I didn't-" "No! Max answer me did you know?" Max's face falls with guilt and that's all the answer I need. "H-how long has this been posted? This happened freshmen year I didn't think people would still have this." Tears fill my eyes ." Ari I just wanted to protect you. If I had showed you that then you would have freaked out." I laugh coldly and furiously wipe away the tears falling down my cheeks." That is real cheap Max, cause I'm freaking out anyway. You're my best friend and I would hope you would tell me about this stuff. Stuff that happened 3 years ago. Stuff that made me miserable and humiliated me for a year. I have had a great year until this. Whoever posted this is just trying to make me remember the mistake I made when I agreed to a date with Ian, who by the way, is the one who basically dumped the slime and feathers on me and had his friends take a picture of it."

I try to keep the tears back as I say this. I take a deep breath trying to keep my voice under control. " Look there is only a few weeks left of school and I will try to survive them. This is senior year and I am going to try and make the best of it. If I have to deal with embarrassing pictures of me then so be it, I will." "Ari-" " I have to get to class. See you." Max's face fills with guilt but I can't bring myself to say anything else to him. I turn away from him, feeling betrayed and hurt as I walk to my class and for the rest of the day I deal with jokes and snickers about the post today. By the time I get home the tears are streaming down my face and I rush from the door to my room and slam my door. I throw my bag down and throw myself on my bed. I hear my mom come to my room a few minutes later but she doesn't bother me and I am glad she doesn't because I would have broken completely. That night I cry myself to sleep and dream about a pair of expressive silver eyes and the end of the world.

Hey guys sorry this chapter was so long but I'm new to writing stories. Let me know what you think so far it would really mean a lot.
