Aaron felt nothing. His body was like a numb spirit, devoid of limbs and thoughts. Nothing was there, except for his presence, which was as limited as it could be. It was like he had become one with the universe, preparing himself for eternal life, when something nudged him from his cold, quiet, thoughtless slumber.
[Aaron. Aaron. Aaron. Can you hear me?]
Aaron wasn't able to open his eyes, or hear things with his ears. His body didn't work, yet he was able to hear the strange voice speaking to him. He tried to respond, yet failed.
[Don't speak with your mouth. Try communicate with thoughts.]
'Wh...what? Wh...at the hell h...appened?'
[You died. You died, Aaron.]
Suddenly, in Aaron's mind, a flashback of events played, showing him the small children made of bone who killed him. He desperately wanted to scream, but he couldn't. He wanted to cry, as he relived the pain, but he couldn't.
[So, you dislike pain. That must have been traumatising.]
'Wh-wh-why.....why would y-y-y-you show me th-th-that?'
[So I know what to do. Tell me Aaron. Do you wish to never feel pain again?]
'I...you...you would do that?'
Aaron was too shocked by this fact to remember that he currently was dead, where he could never feel any pain again.
[Of course. I did put you through that suffering, so might as well give you benefits]
'Oh thank yo.... Wait a second. YOU made those children kill me?!'
[Just said so. Anyways, on to the next topic]
'No! I want to know WHY you killed me in such a gruesome way.'
A sigh could then be heard in Aaron's mind.
[You were meant to die earlier in the day. Someone was meant to shoot a bullet into the ceiling, killing you, but they didn't. If a person doesn't die the day they are meant to, they become immune to the influence of death, and we can't have random humans becoming immortal, can we?]
'I guess you are right. Although, why can't we become Immortal?'
[Overpopulation and disease. The anti-vaxxers of Earth are so extreme that we required a policy for Earth. Don't worry, in about twenty years, anti-vaxxers will be dead. Also, what do you want your painless body to be? I'm not making you a slime body, so, do you wanna be a skeleton?]
'Wait a minute. A new body? Why do I need that?'
[Well, we can't send you back down to earth, can we? I'm sending you to a world called Eratonia. Since you want a painless body, we have to set you up as a monster.]
'Wait, will I have my memories and mental capacity?'
[Of course. I'm not gonna erase you. Waste of a human mind in a world full of monsters. I'm going to give you two custom skills, and some class skills, because of being a skeleton, OK?]
'I don't have much choice, but here's a question. Am I going to be strong?'
[Later on, yes, but I'm not allowed to make humans too overpowered right off the bat, or else you might be in the top five monsters, but, don't worry, these skills will help you so much.]
'Alright then, shoot.'
[Class Skills: (Bone Throwing:You are able to throw parts of your body at any time, including your head. This means the only way for you to die to to have your bones destroyed). (Permanent Bone Enhancement: Your bones are three times stronger than that of any monster your level and evolution point).]
'Neat. I'm guessing I'll be able to unlock more skills as we go along?
[Correct, now for the two unique skills.]
[Unique Skills: (Painless Body) (Permanent Enhancement: This is different from Permanent Bone Enhancement, but it can be used in tandem with that ability. Every time you consume food, it is turned into 'Bio Points'. You can use 'Bio Points' to upgrade your stats. Like a game. These can upgrade any physical stat, as well as luck, for better items in chests. There is a second category called 'Atk Points' which allow you to upgrade your skills, such as making your Bone Throwing go further and deal more damage. This ability cannot be upgraded with Bio Points.]
'Well, that does seem quite powerful. Permanent Enhancement will be insanely powerful. With its description, I'm also guessing that nobody else can do this?'
[Nope. You had the worst death imaginable, at least to me, so I might as well make you as powerful as I can, and just hope for the best. Also, do you want to know your stats?]
'Sure. It'll be helpful.'
[Name: Aaron Stone]
[Race: Skeleton]
[Age: Uncreated]
[Level: 0/10]
[Attack: 7]
[Defense: 30]
[Health: 200/200]
[Agility: 15]
[Dexterity: 99]
[Luck: 1]
'Wait a minute. Why is my dexterity so high?!'
[Well, I saw that you were insanely skilled with a balisong, so I decided to transfer that ability over here. Also, don't neglect dexterity. You need a certain amount to wield certain weapons, so keep upgrading it alongside everything else.]
'Well, thank you for your kindness.'
[No problem. Also, one thing to mention. Humans hate monsters. Kind of a thing that happened because of monster raid. Anyways, there are some above ground, and some below. The ones below are stronger than the ones above. You are going below to hone your skills and become stronger. I will see you once you have done something cool.]
'Wait a second, are you going? If so, would you mind just telling me your name?'
[Well, there is no harm in it. Call me by Ameratsu. Shadow Ameratsu.]
'Well then Ameratsu, I'll see you again. Sometime.'
And with that, the voice in his head mysteriously vanished, as a body began to form for Aaron. His body consisted of bones. Nothing more. No brain, no flesh or nerve endings. Simply bones. Aaron was placed into this body, as his consciousness jumped into the space of his skull, and he opened up his eyes, and they shone. They shone crimson. A sign of power.
