After being unconscious for about 3hrs, Hao Tieng finally woke up only to hear loud mumbles around the room. "Gang Zhi." he called out. His voice coming out weak.
"Your finally awake. How do you feel?" Gang Zhi asked stroking Hao Tieng's hair.
"Was it all a dream? Are you guys really Dragons?" he asked looking at his family while sitting up on the bed.
" Yes, son." Mr. Xiu, his dad answered. "and so are you plus the entire Xiu family. Everbody in our family has been a dragon." he added. Hao Tieng scanned the room with an unbelievable expression. All this time, he was a dragon and he didn't even know it. The one thing bugging his brain was why they didn't tell him the truth from the beginning. "Why didn't you tell me about this? Why did you hide who I am from me?" he asked feeling like he had been betrayed by his own family.
"Because of the prophecy" his mother answered sitting beside Hao Tieng on the bed. Hao Tieng furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Really? A prophecy?" Hao Tieng scoffed "Are you guys just messing with my head? You took my identity away from me and your saying it's because of some 'prophecy' " he added not believing a thing he had just heard.
"Yes, son. I know your probably angry at me but I did what I had to do to protect you. There were people trying to kill you. I couldn't let them take you away from me." his mother said trying to cup his cheek but Hao Tieng pulled away.
"Don't touch me, mother." he said firmly.
"Hao Tieng try to understand me. I couldn't let the werewolves and sirens kill you all because of a prophecy. That's why I didn't tell you the truth." his mother cried .Hao Tieng stayed quiet for a few minutes. There were alot of questions like 'So werewolves are real? and What are sirens?' running around in his head but just stayed quiet since he was still pretty angry at his entire family.
"Fine. Let us say this prophecy is 'real' which it's not but let's pretend for a second that it is. What does this so-called prophecy say that would make me a threat."
"You're never a threat to anyone Hao Tieng but the werewolves and sirens just didn't accept you. When I was pregnant with you, everyone thought you were a girl since the prophecy said that 'The Queen of Dragon's second child will be The Quadbrid's partner and together they will restore balance in the supernatural community.' but when I gave birth to a boy. Some people just couldn't accept it. They said it was impossible for the King's partner to be a guy.. so they came up with a plan to kill you. They didn't want their king to be a freak. That's why I sent you to the U.S so that they weren't able to get to you." his mother said with a tear rolling down her cheek.
Everything Hao Tieng had heard almost sounded impossible for him to believe but putting everything that had happened in the past together actually made sense. His parents never let him come back to China until he turned 21. They always made up a hideous excuse like 'It's too cold here you'll get sick or The house is currently under construction even There's a dangerous disease in China right now you can't come.'
"How come I couldn't feel that I'm a dragon?" Hao Tieng asked his mother.
"Because I weakened your inner dragon. I knew the werewolves could get some witches on their side to do a location spell and find out where you're sensing the power of your dragon that's why I weakened it."
"Why didn't you just kill them? Your the Queen of Dragons. Werewolves are no match to you."
"I didn't want to Hao Tieng. If I did then there would be no peace. Dragons don't just go killing everything insight we're not like the werewolves, sirens and vampires who kill each other like it's some kinda habit. Dragons and witches are peaceful creatures."
Hao Tieng looked around around the room again. Two people were missing. "Where's Bing Wen and Lu Feng?" he asked feeling horrible for not noticing it earlier.
"They're outside talking." his sister who had been quiet answered.
"Okay.....I am still not forgiving you guys for hiding the truth. Atleast you would've told me that am a Dragon and people want me dead then I would've stayed in the U.S and never came back here.... Can you please give me some time alone?"
"Ok, Son. But since you now know the truth and you have Gang Zhi to protect you then you should try and communicate with your dragon. Just talk to it in your head or bribe it with something you love the most then it'll appear....." his dad said and the three of them left Gang Zhi and Hao Tieng alone.
Hao Tieng stood up to lock the door and sat infront of Gang Zhi studying every feature on the man's body. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Gang Zhi asked feeling cautious of his body. Although he was ridiculously hot , Hao Tieng's eyes seemed to burn right through his skin.
"I want to communicate with my dragon." Hao Tieng answered hungrily staring at Gang Zhi's lips. Gang Zhi noticed Hao Tieng's eyes on his lips, licked his lips in a seductive way and asked "Do you want my help?"
"My Dad said I have to bribe it with something I love the most " Hao Tieng answered his eyes now looking straight into Gang Zhi's.
"And what is that?"
"The feeling of your lips on mine" and with that Hao Tieng didn't waste a second pressing his lips on Gang Zhi's.
