Lennon the butler left and went straight upstairs to inform Chris and Amira that Keturah is around and waiting for them and Mr. Lou went to attend a meeting at his company. Amira was the first to run downstairs because she hadn't seen Keturah since the accident at the bar took place.
" Keturah!!" Amira shouted Keturah's name while coming downstairs with her teeth shining bright like the sun. she ran to Keturah who had stood up the moment she heard her name, she hugged her tight and Keturah hugged her back.
" How have you been," Amira asked Keturah as they both sat down to enjoy tea that was made by the maid.
"I've been better," Keturah said in a low tone, but Amira being a vampire too like Keturah picked what Keturah said.
Keturah and her family are night creatures. But, Keturah has the immune of a human., she can catch a cold, fever, and her injuries sometimes take time to heal.
" why do you say so," Amira asked Keturah with a little sense of worry in her tone.
" Nothing, I'm fine kamira. so how have you been." Katurah asked Amira trying to change the topic.
" You see, you only call me Kamira when you're angry or being bothered by something. Tell me what's wrong. Remember you can always tell your bestie what's wrong, now tell me." Amira asked again
" I promise Amira, I'm ok, " Keturah said plastering a fake smile across her lips. Amira knew deep down that Keturah was lying about being okay, she didn't want to pressurize her into talking and will find out later.
After a while of chatting between Keturah and Amira, Chris finally came downstairs and told Keturah to come to the room before going back upstairs.
" Amira, can we continue this later. Your brother needs me upstairs." Amira nodded giving her the go-ahead and Keturah went upstairs.
She went upstairs and stood in front of his room and abruptly knocked on the door.
" come in" Chris' voice rang inside the room.
she gently opened the door and walked inside looking at every corner of the room.
' hey leave my stickers alone Turah and Amira or else I will bite you' came Chris' little voice.
she snapped out of her thought when Chris' hand touched her shoulder.
" Are you okay?" Christ asked Keturah.
" yes I'm okay, I was just remembering the time when your room was full of stickers and cartoon characters..... But now it's dark and dull" Keturah said.
" well maybe it's because I'm an adult now," Chris said looking at Keturah.
" what going on, I heard you and Amira's discussion and I know something is wrong. come sit with me and tell me what's wrong, I want nothing else but the truth" Chris said as they sat on the bed.
" fine, I will tell you," Keturah said giving up by telling him the truth.
" Father brought a suitor for me. But the suitor whom I thought was a good man because he helped me remove a stick from my hand threatened me and he was about to force himself on me. I got angry and threw across the wall, then father came and was furious and he told the guard to take to the dungeon and give 60 strokes of whips" Keturah said as she cried. Chris' hand clenched as he was furious, he took Keturah into his embrace, wiped her tear, and kissed her on her forehead.
Amira who overheard everything outside came inside and hugged Keturah.
" Don't worry everything will be alright, and you will be free from all the shenanigans" Amira said in a remorseful tone and continued patting her back.
After a few minutes, Keturah fell asleep in chris' room. " let her be, it been a hard day for her" Chris said to Amira who pulled away from the hug and let her lay down covering her with the blanket. Amira stood up from the bed and walked to where Chris was changing his clothes as Keturah had drenched them with her tears, " will she be okay?. Does her mom know she's here" Amira asked with a concerned look. " she will be okay, and I don't know about h-" Chris's words were caught short by the sudden phone call. " Hello, good evening Queen Priscilla. Keturah is at my house and will spend some time at my house, she will be back by next week. Don't worry I will take care of her. Bye." Chris stared at Keturah as she was fast asleep.
