Chapter 10 - Setting Off

"Before we go Mom, I have a big question. Why did I like being I the spar?"

"Oh. That's a good question sweetie. I'll tell you about it over breakfast."

"Okay, sure!"

As we left my room, I saw that Ur was on the dining table with my Dad. His hair was almost Identical to mine. His black eyes looking at Ur, but his focus seemed to be on me. The same could be said for Ur.

"Son."

"Hey, dad."

"Your mother and I have something to tell you." He went straight to the point. It fits his personality, I guess. He's like the complete opposite of me. I love to talk and get to know the people around me before I tell them something that could be Earthland shattering.

"What is it Dad?"

"Your mother is an alien."

"WOAH! That's so cool!" I want to make it seem like I am just somewhat mature, but still a kid.

"WHAT! What do you mean by that Howard? Stop joking. Poppy, he is joking right? Please tell me he's joking." Ur joined the conversation. I figured she knew. Guess not.

My mother looked at Ur with a solemn look. It looks like mom doesn't want Ur to be scared or afraid of her, while still knowing the truth. "He isn't joking. I really am an alien on Earthland. I belong to a race called the Saiyans. I used to be a princess. My father exiled me because I didn't have the heart to fight. We are a warrior race who have scattered across the Universe conquering weaker planets and races. I don't know what has become of my people, and I don't really care."

"Then why are you telling me this now? Is it because you wanted me to train Alistair?"

"I never realized it, but I guess my racial traits were passed on to Al. He was always good natured, and he wasn't born with a tail, so I figured he was more human that Saiyan, but when I heard that roar, I thought of my race's strengthening stage or form, the Oozaru. It is a unique form, especially to the Saiyans with a tail because we would grow into a 50-meter tall Great Ape. It makes us 10 times stronger than we are as we stand. I mention this because I remember when I read the myths a Saiyan form that surpasses even that of the Oozaru, called the Legendary Super Saiyan. It unleashes a power stronger and wilder than that of the Oozaru, while maintaining the size of the average Saiyan. It can also help them adapt in battle much faster than normal Saiyans. I'm telling you all of this now precisely because you are training Alistair. If he enters that state, nothing except for someone he trusts can break him out of it. And I need you to know what you're dealing with when it comes to Al."

Ur nods her head. "That's fair. I understand. But, aren't you worried I'll tell someone?"

"Well, my story seems unbelievable, so I doubt people would believe the story. Even if it comes from a reputable wizard like you. Second, I trust you with my life. You are my best friend. We've been through everything together, even that terrible incident that occurred with Ultear. I know, without a doubt, you will never tell anyone." My mom says as she hugs Ur.

On that heavy note, we ate breakfast. There were no words exchanged for the entire meal. There was a sort of uncomfortable feeling for the entire meal. It was focused on me. Ur was trying to figure out what to do with me. Training wise, of course. My dad, was completely silent, looking only at his food. The atmosphere was awkward.

10 minutes later, the meal finished. I would say finally, but today is the last day I get to spend with my parents before I go focus on 'training' with Ur. I'm excited to go off on my adventure, but I'm sad too. My parents in this life were almost exactly like my parents from my old life. Both kind and supportive, but in typical Asian parent fashion, very strict when it came to education.

"Al," my dad called out to me. "Go have fun out there. Do your best and be safe. We'll be waiting for you to come back to tell us about your adventure."

He looks calm, but he has tears in his eyes. He's barely holding himself back from crying. Even in this state, his face looks like a blank slate. I can only tell what he's feeling by looking in his eyes. Dad is like the ultimate Kuudere.

"Don't give Ur too much trouble, ok?" My mom is probably worried that I might go full baby Goku on Ur. Not like I can. I have absolute control over all my forms.

Speaking of forms, I have unlocked most of them. They fused back into me seconds after my fight with Ur ended. That's why Ultra Instinct had such a killer effect on me. I have Super Saiyan 1, 2, and 3. I also have Super Saiyan Grade 2, the super buff one, and Super Saiyan God. I guess I'm a Saiyan Beyond Gods before my canon counterparts have even learned about Saiyans. Besides, I still need to unlock and learn to use all my Sacred Gears. It isn't going to be too hard, especially not with my strength. Afterall, Issei's biggest problem in getting better at using the Boosted Gear was because he was weak. The same could go for every user for any sacred gear. Even Valorie Tepes, of course, she needed mental strength instead of physical strength.

"Hello? Earthland to Alistair! Are you there?" I was torn from my thoughts as I saw a hand in front of my face. "Alistair, are you ok? I don't think you should be out of bed if you're going to be unresponsive."

"Oh, sorry mom. I was just thinking about home. You know since I'm going to go train, I wonder when I'll see you guys." I lie through my teeth. Completely shamelessly.

"You know, we're not going anywhere. You can come visit us whenever you want. And I don't think Ur will mind."

"Yeah, I guess so."

Soon after, as we were getting ready to leave, my mom gave me a present. It was a big black bag with a small box inside it. "The box inside has a scouter that your dad modified. It is uses Etherion as a base for its circuits and is resistant to breaking, so long as the other person's Power Level is below 1,000,000,000."

And with that, I started my journey in Fairy Tail.
