Chereads / Living with Sacred Gears in Fairy Tail / Chapter 14 - Erza Scarlett

Chapter 14 - Erza Scarlett

I was flying through the sky. I had just been divided into existence. My power level is 100,000. I have memories, but they aren't mine. I am just a clone of the original. A tool to help him accomplish his goals. But I'm glad that I am. My consciousness doesn't exist. I'm glad for this. I don't want to be alive. My only goal in life is to return to the original. All in all, I am just a computer acting out the commands given to me: Meet a red-haired girl named Erza and befriend her. The more low-key my entrance, the better. As for my other counterpart, the other clone given a similar mission, we are going to meet about two years down the line. Both of us will have succeeded in gaining Ultear's trust and Erza's trust. Then, it is up to the original's turn to make them fall in love.

Flying to Rosemary Village was hard. I have a directional sense only a bit better than Zoro. I guess the original was horrendous with directions. From what I remember, this was his excuse to not get his license until he was 19.

[Elsewhere]

"Huh? Is someone makin' fun of me?" A green haired man with 3 katanas attached to his waist said. "I thought this was a normal forest, looks like I need to keep movin', there might be some really excitin' fight here." The man continued, and then soon after proceeded to get lost and return to his own world.

[Back to Clone 1]

I landed outside of Rosemary Village. A good 100 yards, and into a set of trees nearby. I was also fast about it; I don't exactly want to cause trouble. From there, I waited until the cover of dark. I'm a clone, so I don't exactly need to eat, just be supplied with ki. But the impoverished weakling from out of town, look that I'm going to go for is going to be impossible to pull off with my current clothes. So, I need to tear them up a bit. To do this, I simply walked through a lot of bushes and trees with my power-level reduced. I have a massive brain. Getting some weak Zenkai, while accomplishing my mission will be great. And in the future, my Zenkai boosts will be even greater.

With my clothes ragged and bloody, I limped my way into town.

"Hey! Where are you from? KID!" I hear a guard call out to me. And in response, I just collapse. "Ah, shit. Another roughed up kid."

An old man walked up to him. I knew who it was. It was Rob, the old Fairy Tail Wizard who sacrificed himself for Erza. That helped her awaken her magic. "Hey Ron, what happened to the kid?"

"I don't know, Old Man Rob. One minute he walks in through the gate, unannounced, and the next he's collapsed."

"Ah, well. He looks like he's a kid. And besides, who is going to attack our little Rosewood Village." And there it is. The famed flag. What is it with Fairy Tail and flags being thrown left and right? In the anime, Natsu said that Fairy Tail would always be the best guild, but seven years later they were living in a busted down and broken guild house. "Bring him to my house. I am already taking care of Erza, so what's one more? Besides, it has been a while since my kids grew up, so I'm really enjoying taking care of the brats around the village."

Huh. I get to start my mission sooner than I thought.

Soon after that, the old man carried me to his little hut. I was still pretending to be knocked out due to exhaustion. I fell asleep at some point. Not because I was tired. I can survive without anything as long as I'm supplied with mana. But the old man's bed was surprisingly comfortable. It wasn't like a fluffy bed that the original has when he stayed with his parents, but it was better than the hospital bed that the original spent the last few months of his life. Especially for being in a village, arguably in the boonies. I shouldn't be surprised though. He was a mage. I knew he could afford luxuries.

It was done when I woke up. I'm still confused about how, but it was probably due to the order of the original to act as much like him as possible. Sleeping is essential for normal beings. Anyway, as I awoke, I heard a powerful, yet elderly voice call out to me. "So, you finally woke up, kiddo?"

I slowly rose from the bed to see Rob in front of me. "Y – yeah. Where am I?"

"You're in Rosemary Village. It's a great town out here in the countryside." Rob said. "I have some questions for you kid. I hope you can answer them."

I act a bit worried, kind of like a kid that was caught doing something wrong.

"Don't worry kiddo, they won't be tough. I just want to get to know you. After all, you will be in my care for now." He continues, his grandfatherly aura radiating across the room. "So, what's your name."

"Alistair." I respond.

"Do you know where your parents are?"

"No." Lying through my teeth, I am.

"How did you come here?"

"Grandpa Rob!" Just as I was about to answer, I hear a cute voice. I turn around to see a 7-year-old Erza Scarlett.
