Sir Hosa looked at Clara with a smile.
"The royal seal will have no effect if no one will use it." Sir Hosa said.
"Is that the only solution?" Clara asked in worry.
Sir Hosa nodded and took a sharp dagger from his drawer. "Let me do it and hide here. I'll gather all the soldiers outside the palace and come back here. Trust me, Clara."
Clara nodded. "I trust you, Sir Hosa." Sir Hosa kissed her forehead before locking the door from the outside and going out to the palace halls.
Clara waited for a little while and lays down on Sir Hosa's bed while waiting for him to return. She then hears silent footsteps from outside the door, thinking maybe it would be the other soldiers that are being sent by him.
She sat up as she hear the lock being picked. She smiled, knowing that all her torture will end tonight.
The door opened and Clara's smile disappeared and her mind was now filled with fear and shock. The three men standing at the door weren't soldiers from the royal guard but assassins who wear all black.
"W-who are you? Stay away." Clara said to the three men.
Clara values her life very much than anything else since she doesn't have anything else to live for but the opportunity to live a life. She would do anything just to keep her life and anything to keep her from being in harm even if that means betraying her own kingdom.
In the eyes of the assassins, she's a poor innocent child and therefore only took her by the hands as they silently went out the palace without being seen by the guards. They were appreciative that Clara didn't scream or ask for help since Clara doesn't want to risk being killed after uttering anything at all.
Clara looked around the palace and everything was dark. All the candles in the halls and some of the palace rooms were blown out and the only thing preventing them from bumping into the palace decor was the assassins' sharp intuition and their ability to see in the dark.
"Please spare me." Clara said quietly to the assassins but audible enough for them to hear. This is the only thing that Clara could dare to say to assassins. They felt pity for the girl and softened their grip on her.
Clara saw that they were heading to the ballroom which was the only room that was lit in the palace. The assassins went in with her and Clara looked around in shock and fear.
There were more than fifty thousand assassins in the ballroom holding everyone in the kingdom as hostages. The king, the queen, and the three brothers were kneeling and had knives to their necks. The people of the kingdom were kneeling while the soldiers of the kingdom were either injured or half-dead.
Clara whimpered and the assassins looked at each other, pitying the girl. All the people were looking at the man sitting on the throne of the king.
Clara and the man had eye contact and realized she couldn't take her eyes off of the man sitting on the throne, looking back at her with no emotion whatsoever.
"Put her with the civilians."
