'What is this? This can't be...' King Theon thought to himself as he saw what was on her neck.
'The big dipper constellation...she is indeed special...a weapon...for victory'
Clara has small freckles over her body. Small dots that are linked together or are placed in different places formed constellations. The big dipper constellation on her neck was a sign for King Theo.
Years ago, after the death of his father, he was greeted by a being surrounded by light and water. His mission was to find the big dipper constellation as a sign and that will be his key to ruling over the continent which was what his father wanted him to do.
'I finally found the sign' King Theon said to himself. He calmed down and faced Clara with a smile.
He then stood up and looked at the crowd.
"I accept your suggestion, princess." He said.
He flapped his cape behind him, signaling the assassins to listen very carefully about what he has to say.
"Each and every civilian in this kingdom is welcomed to live in my kingdom as Imperion citizens. There, you will be treated kindly and equality valued like all the Imperion citizens. You will live comfortably without worry and you will have protection." King Theon declared. "If you wish to not just be saved from death but also be free from the burden of corruption and poverty, please raise your hand."
Clara looked at the crows and numerous people raised their hands...but not all of them. She recognized the people who stayed low to be the noblemen who have power in this kingdom. Even if they're in a life and death situation, they would never lower their status to be a commoner. How prideful.
King Theon nodded at the number of men and women being more than what he had expected. "Assassins, Take the people who raised their hands to the kingdom gates and prepare more means of transport. We have new valued Imperion citizens present."
Clara smiled. She looked at the people's happy faces. The mothers hugging their children and smiling knowing that they're going to be safe. She could even guess that they're going to be able to eat more at the Imperion kingdom more than they ever could here at Kingdom de Bleu.
Before the last citizen who chose to leave could go out the gate, one young child asked aloud. "Mommy...but what about princess Clara?"
King Theon looked at the young princess who just waved the kid goodbye. He felt...something else.
The child and his mom left which led to the remaining people left in the ballroom. The King, queen, the three princes, and the noblemen and women.
"You pathetic excuse of a daughter! You're the reason our kingdom is going to be gone!" The king exclaimed.
"You mean, YOUR kingdom?" She emphasized her point.
"How dare you?" The queen was in rage. "I wish I never gave birth to a damned wench!"
Clara could only smile as her tears stream down her face. She made her body limp, making her fall to the floor. The assassins flinched. One of them, the one who held her hand, picked her up from the floor and let her lean on his torso.
Clara's vision was blinded by her tears and her mind was fogged by her sadness.
King Theon crossed his arms. "You made me pity the girl. Oh well." He walked slowly to reach the center of the ballroom. Along with the king, queen, and three princes, there are less than a hundred noblemen and people of high status left in the ballroom.
King Theon sighed. "I ought to give all the innocent second chances and they got it. The ones left clearly are the guilty." He tilted his head a little and chuckled. "The noblemen loved the power their titles gave them and don't want to be like commoners."
He chuckled darkly.
"How pathetic."
