Maybe I should prepare for when I bump into Zofia again. Apparently, if it can happen two times, then a third time won't be questionable. Took many precautions before heading outside to go to school. 'Alright, I'm perfectly prepared' I said to myself clutching my fist in front of my face.
I decided to walk to school again. This way, if I am moving slower than usual, I'll be able to react and act faster than if I were running or on a bike. Additionally, I wore many layers of clothing. I would say about 4 layers for the top of my body. A white tank top on the inside followed by a T-Shirt from my favorite video game (which is Samurai's Die Twice), a red plaid long sleeve button up, topped off with a plain black cotton jacket. The reason I need so many layers is so they can absorb more of the kinetic impact if we ever crash into each other again.
Other than that, I also am wearing my tennis shoes which is much better for hopping out of danger than with business shoes or flip flops. In summary, my plan is perfect. I can't help but chuckle out loud on how I will be on top this time around. *Ha ha haaaa*
BONK
Jesus Fricking Christ! My head who runs this early in the morning. Now that I think about it, many people exercise in the morning. But more importantly, who doesn't look where they are going? Wait . . . that applies to me as well. I closed my eyes while walking and laughing to myself.
I lift my head up to see the one person who ruined my plan. Part of me wanted it to be Zofia so I can press her with questions and ask what she would even be doing. But it wasn't Zofia.
"Ah jeez, I didn't see you there Lanathy. It's been a while since we bumped into each other like this." It was one of my other friends who I have been friends with since Middle School Zachary. We haven't talked a lot in the past year or two but we shared many interests. Albeit, those interests might have changed over time and we grew further apart as well. I didn't hate him so I haven't been trying to avoid him either.
"That was quite the bump indeed Zach. I knew I was going to get hit but not like this. Also how did you even hit me?" Zachary held his hand out and I grabbed on while pulling myself up.
"Ah, I was kind of looking at my phone selecting my next song. You were expecting being hit in the morning?"
"Yeah, this woman keeps running into me and I prepared myself from getting injured but I guess I should've worn a helmet as well since you hit me in the head."
Zachary hit me in the head instead of the chest or body like I had expected to be hit. I explained to him the morning routine I usually have and how it has been off track.
"You still go to Veera Hatch High right?" He gave a small nod. "Let's walk there together then, we have a lot to catch up on."
"Alright, let me get my backpack near the park first then." We walked towards the park and then towards school together. After that, we even hung out during lunch. It seems our ideals and interests connected again. I then asked if he would like to walk to school with me everyday. He didn't seem to mind. I'm guessing it's because he doesn't have much to do while on the way to school other than running in the morning.
School ended and I walked home with Zachary, we live near the same street so that's probably how we even bumped near each other.
"I was thinking about going to the beach one day."
"Really? I go to the beach almost every week." Zachary said.
"Do you go by yourself?"
"Yeah, I sometimes go with people but a majority of the time I just go there while jogging." 'Whaaat?!' I thought to myself. I'm never able to go to many places by myself. I usually have to go with someone else to convince my parents.
"Maybe we could go this weekend because we have school on the weekdays and the weekends are open for me. I don't know about you."
"Yeah I jog on the weekends and run on the weekdays. I can chill with you at the beach."
As me and Zachary walk home together talking about homework and plans, I run into Zofia. I didn't bump into her thank god. She stopped at the turn of the sidewalk, probably from hearing our conversation.
"Good afternoon Lanathy." She is energetic as always. It's the afternoon as well. I don't even know how she can speak loudly and smile like that.
"Yeah yeah, good afternoon Zelda."
"It's Zofia!" Her face pouted as she yelled.
"Is this that woman you were talking about Lanathy?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, she keeps running into me no matter what. Almost everyday." This reminds me, how does she even bump into me so much? I'm not even looking for her or near her. I stand in front of Zofia and put both of my hands on her shoulder. "Where is it Sylphia? Where did you put it?"
"Where is what?! Also my name is Zofia for crying out loud." I shake her back and forth.
"Where is the tracking device you put on me? You always bump into me un-announced somehow so you must have something to find me! So, where is it? My shirt? My backpack? My shoes? My body?"
"I dooon't haavvve anny soort oof traackkingg deeeviceeee" She says as I still shake her.
"Then how are you finding me huh?" I start shaking even faster.
"It's juuust a cooooinciidenceee" For real? Just a coincidence? I stop and release my hands from her. "Also, who are you?" She looked over at Zachary.
"I'm Zachary, I've known Lanathy since Middle School."
"Nice to meet you Zachary, I'm Zofia! This is my first time in this High School but me and Lanathy are in the same grade." What in the-
"Hold up, how the frick do you know what grade I'm in?" I spoke out loud out of instinct.
"You told me didn't you?"
"Like hell I did. How do you know I'm in 11th grade?"
"Ah so that's what grade you're in. We are in the same grade."
"Wha-" I can't believe her. She didn't even know what grade I was in. Grrrr, I could just punch something right now."
"Hahaha, well we're all in the same grade. And hey Lanathy, you asked if we could walk together to school. Why don't we walk with Zofia as well?" Zachary suggested.
"Mmmm, do I really want to walk with Zofia as well? Uh, well since she always finds a way to track me down then I guess so yeah."
"That's why I brought up the idea, haha."
And after that whole mess, Zachary, Zofia, and I started walking to and from school everyday. We met up on as well as split from my street when walking to and away from school.
