The next spell he had on his plate was called Blood Bead. This spell's purpose was pretty simple, blood storage. While blood path spells were known to possess high combat power, they usually required the presence of blood in order to function, this is where the Blood Bead comes in.
The Blood Bead spell created an item that could store large amounts of blood that can be accessed at any time by its user. The user could control the blood inside of the bead at anytime using a telepathic connection. It was as easy to use as moving a limb.
Acheron quickly understood the utility granted by this spell. While he could use the blood of his enemies to attack, he had to kill them first. When having to face merely one enemy at a time though, the Blood Bead would show its usefulness.
Unfortunately, Acheron couldn't test out this spell yet, unless he decided to try using his own blood.
What followed was the spell Blood Explosion. The only problem with it was that it only worked on weaker enemies. This was because the strength of one's will usually directly corresponded with their strength. When controlling the blood in someone's body, one had to overpower the will that's coursing through it. Still, Acheron found it incredibly useful when performing large-scale massacres.
The way Blood Explosion worked was by controlling the blood present in an enemy's body to burst out of it, causing them to explode from within. Naturally, more than one enemy can be targeted at once.
The spell Blood Explosion can also have an effect on enemies of similar or greater strength. Though instead of causing an explosion, the effect becomes merely a hindrance stemming from the enemy's disrupted blood flow.
The last three spells were Blood Devour, Blood Arrow, and Lesser Healing. The effect of Lesser Healing is self-explanetory. It temporarily boosts the healing capabilities of the target.
Blood Devour was a spell that allowed the user to temporarily increase physical strength by absorbing large amounts of blood, depending on the strength of the lifeform that the blood belonged to.
Blood Arrow was another method of attack. The spell creates arrows from nearby blood or using the blood present in a Blood Bead.
Acheron naturally liked all of the spells, and he also happened to have a few ideas for new spells. Unfortunately, his ideas would have to wait for now, as he still hasn't been able to study geometric formation theory.
After drawing all of the spells inside of his third eye space, he quickly cuts his left arm's wrist. Allowing a decent amount of blood to flow down on the ground, he casts Lesser Heal on himself. It didn't take more than a few seconds for his wrist to heal.
First he uses the blood on the ground to form a Blood Bead, before using the entirety of the condensed blood to unleash a Blood Arrow to the nearby wall.
Watching the small crater formed in the wall, Acheron feels satisfied with the strength of this attack. He was still only a Rank 2 Magus after all. Not to mention the amount of blood was meager. Needless to say, he could now return to Jin and begin learning formation theory.
The following days, Acheron was completely busy absorbing the vast amounts of knowledge provided by Jin. With his intelligence and dedication, it didn't take much out of him to learn the ropes of spell assembly.
Finally, Acheron received the green light from Jin. He was prepared to put his ideas on paper. Acheron also decided to share his spells with the Magus Order, getting them into their archives. The spells weren't that amazing either way. They were kind of basic even.
Over the next month, Acheron successfuly created four spells, and also managed to modify the previously learned spells to suit his will better.
These spells were called Blood Bullet, Blood Chains, Blood Platform, and Blood Shield. Blood Bullet was his take on Blood Arrow, Blood Chains could trap an enemy, Blood Platform was meant to work as a method to gain footholds mid-air during a fight, and Blood Shield could work as a layer of defense.
In order to test them, he went out to hunt magical beasts in a nearby forest. Acheron has even managed to accumulate a large amount of blood in his Blood Bead.
After giving the books he wrote on the recently created spells to Jin, Acheron decides to continue working on his Magus rank, while also learning some simple quality-of-life spells, including but not limited to, Flight, Cleanse, Sense Enhancement, Telekinesis, Hunter Mark, Soul Search, and Soul Enslavement.
Unfortunately, Soul Search and Soul Enslavement required him to be at least a Rank 4 and Rank 5 Magus respectively, while Flight only worked for a very short while because of his low energy.
Over the next year, Acheron continued his cultivation of both systems, successfuly becoming a Rank 3 Magus and breaking through to the Nascent Soul realm soon after.
When breaking through to the Nascent Soul realm, the Revolving Core must be infused with Spirit, a formless energy that every lifeform possesses.
By infusing it with Spirit, the crystalized Qi receives personal properties, with one's control of Qi becoming as easy as breathing. One simply has to will the energy to move, and it will move.
After the cultivator's spirit is completely infused into the Revolving Core, the core breaks apart and takes the form of the cultivator. In Acheron's case, a mini-him was now sitting in his dantian. He could even control and make it walk around in his dantian.
What caught his attention was that he could even send it out of his body. In this case, his consciousness splits into two, making Acheron feel as if he's living through two bodies at once. It was a psychedelic experience.
'Finally, I can be considered a Heavenly Ascension powerhouse. On the other hand, Magus cultivation really is slow. I suppose it's time to leave.' thought Acheron while heaving a sigh.
After gathering everything he needed into his spatial storage ring and saying goodbye to Jin Shen, Acheron sets off in the direction of his spaceship. This time, he was able to fly by himself.
