The old man's voice was loud, powerful, and demanding. Jin froze for a second as he didn't know what was going on and what this old man was talking about. Jin stopped, hesitating as he knew that he needed to find out what had happened to Rook, "WHAT HAPPENED TO ROOK? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? WHERE AM I?" his voice bellowed throughout the room. The old and gaunt-looking man took a sip of his tea before he moved his lips, "I don't like explaining myself, but since finding someone else would be a hassle, I shall explain".
The old man took one sip of his tea before he calmly said in a sympathetic tone, "It is sad to say, but your friend has been killed". Before Jin could say anything, he felt a sudden pressure holding him down. His voice wouldn't come out. No, it couldn't.
The old man continued to speak "I know you may be sad, but that shall be saved for later. Now on to your second question, I am a man of many names, but the most popular names I go by are the following: The creator of the heavens, the father of humanity or what you may consider, The Supreme God".
If anyone had looked upon scene that was happening here, they would simply scoff in disbelief. An old man claiming he was God, followed by a hulking man, just standing still as if he was terrified of this being. This "God" once again spoke after a quick breath "As for the last question, you are currently in my realm which every deity possesses".
Rather than thinking that this old man was crazy, Jin thought that this man was telling the truth and was just a higher plane far beyond humans. Jin's finally felt the pressure lift off his body but rather than speaking, he just took in what was around him. A scent almost indescribable filled his nose, a scent that faintly remind him of when his entire family would eat breakfast together.
Jin looked at the dojo and felt like he was just a speck of dust in comparison to the goliath of a room.
He finally felt his courage come back as he said, "What do you mean by freedom?". The old man looked as if he were trying to find the correct words to explain it. "In the simplest way I can explain it, everything you have done, everything your friends have done, every major event you have faced, they were all controlled by a deity".
Jin felt despair as the life he was in was a lie and everything he did was shackled to the decisions of the deities. Although, he did feel a little bit better remembering that the old man could allegedly help him get back control of his life. Jin's thoughts where pounding at his head like a drum. This decision was the most important he could make in his entire lifetime. No, anybody's lifetime. He finally said with a confident voice "Yes I wish to break free of these shackles".
