After they have lunch, they continued to discuss about their infiltration on the kingdom to save Zhia and Marjorie. Although Mizuki haven't meet the two yet, he was eager to help save them. He thoroughly forgotten the reason why he went with Balthazar in the first place.
After the discussion, they spent the whole afternoon surveying the area around the inn. They found a nearby spring and decided take a swim.
"Ugh, this is so refreshing. I haven't taken a bath for days since I went to eavesdrop at the empire." Dave said.
"No wonder you reek of booze." Faye said as she dipped her feet into the spring.
Her body was partially exposed with only the breast and her private part covered. She was stunning in her two piece bikini.
"Would you please put that out?" Jeruzen said out of the blue referring to Faye's bathing suit.
"Pervert!" She immediately yelled. A slightly strong wind came pushing him into the water.
"Hey!" Jeruzen shouted.
The others just laughed.
"What?" Jeruzen asked. "I mean it's stressful in the eye. Too shiny. I can't handle the glow." He explained.
No wonder he complained, Faye's outfit is completely made of pixie dust. It is compiled in a large amount that makes it glow and shines brighter. In addition to her pair of lustrous wings, she is totally a goddess in disguise. She also had a beautiful lean and curvy body that makes her totally attractive in the eye of everyone.
On the other side of the spring where it was shallower from where the others are, Mizuki and Chaneri are having a little conversation.
"You seem distracted. Is there anything bothering you?" Mizuki asked Chaneri.
She doesn't seem to hear what Mizuki was saying as her attention was focused on Faye and the others. Her attention was diverted when Mizuki splashed water on her.
"What?" She asked out of confusion.
"I'm asking if there is anything bothering you."
"No, it's nothing at all." She replied.
However, Mizuki can see through her lies with her frustrated eyes.
"Come on, you can tell what's going on." He tried to convince her.
Chaneri was hesitant at first but then later agreed. "Promise you won't laugh if I tell you?"
"I promised." He said while raising his right hand in the open as a sign that he will not break his promise.
"I think I'm kinda jealous a little bit." She said in a low voice.
"Jealous of what?" He asked curiously.
"Of that." She pointed at Faye from afar. Faye's majestic breast and body to be precise.
Mizuki just facepalmed himself from the embarrassing conversation.
"Seriously?" He said.
Out of embarrassment, Chaneri submerged her body deeper into the water on the level just below her chin.
"You shouldn't be thinking this kind of matter. You're still a child after all. How old are you again?"
"Twelve." She answered.
Mizuki exhaled out all the bad aura out of his mood. "Look, I'm a guy so I don't literally experience this kind of things but I think you shouldn't be dwelling your thoughts about this. When you will grow up then that's when you got your desired body shaped. Everything takes time."
"Well, you have a point though." She said embarrassingly.
"Anyway I'm curious, how would a child like you end up with a group of rebellions?" Mizuki curiously asked Chaneri.
"Long story short, I was an orphan. An orphaned fairy to be exact." She said.
"A fairy?" He asked in astonishment. "How come you don't have wings?"
"That is one thing I do not know, all the kids back in my hometown look at me like I'm a freak. No one dares to play with me. Yet, my parents keep encouraging that I'm destined for great things. I don't think so."
"Being different doesn't make you wrong, just like how being the same as everyone else doesn't make you right." He gave her a smile. "Learn to embrace your differences."
Chaneri just sighed and gave Mizuki a faded smile.
"So, you and Faye comes from the same race, right?"
Chaneri nodded yes. "Not just that, she's the heir to the throne of Alfheim, the Land of the Fairies." Chaneri respectively said.
"Wait, is she really a princess?" Mizuki seem to be having trouble believing what he heard.
"Yes, she is. That's Faye for you." She said.
"So that explains why her reward at the poster were higher than the others. But what happened? Why are the two of you here?"
"Just like you, we're both victims of the war back then. My parents were killed during the battle. As for Faye, she fled away from Alfheim by the order of the king to keep her safe." She paused awhile. "Jeruzen who was once a junior knight of the kingdom found me helplessly crying in the middle of the battlefield so he took and raised me as his sister. Since then, I always go with him and my affection towards him as brother grows deeply." Chaneri said.
"Still, he should have sent you in an orphanage. But why keep you with him? You're too young to go on a mission and assassination."
"It was my request to stay." She cut him in. "No worries, I haven't gone to any missions just yet. My tasks were simply to stay at the inn and do household chores. After all, all I can do is to levitate. I haven't figured out what's my ability yet."
In the middle of their conversation, Maku came and ask the two to join them and have some fun.
"You two seem to be having a little talk. Mind if you join us over there?" Maku asked.
"We'll be there right away, I'll go fetch some snacks first." Chaneri answered as she get out of the water.
"I'll go with her." Mizuki said.
Before Mizuki's body was fully gotten out of the water, Maku handed him his hand.
"Allow me.." He hand him his hand to pull him out of the water.
"Thank you." He thanked him afterwards.
Chaneri felt awkward and decided to interrupt the conversation of the two.
"Come on!" He pulled Mizuki's hand. "Lets get the snacks."
The two walks away towards the inn, Chaneri turn around and pointed her finger from eye to eye.
"Don't you dare, big bro." She warned him.
"What?" He shouted in confusion. "I was only helping."
The two walked a few distance from the spring to the inn. When they arrived, she checked the food on the table, which she prepared and covered a while ago. To her surprise, some of the foods were missing including the steaks and barbecues she cooked earlier. What's left on the table was the fruits.
"Hey! Where did all the food gone?" Chaneri yammered.
"Maybe they have eaten it?"
"Already?" Her eyebrows knit in disappointment.
"Lets just take what is left here and go back to where the others are."
Chaneri just sighed and pulled the fruits from the table and put it in the basket. Along the way, she couldn't stop talking about where had the food went. All she thinks about is that Jeruzen might be the culprit who ate the foods she prepared. Mizuki was trying to calm her down in a minute but failed. This little gal sure do have some attitude. She's persistent and careful to everything she does. Mizuki just giggled when he saw her frustrated face but in a cute and charming way.
When they arrived at the spring, she immediately call out Jeruzen to address the problem.
"Hey, big bro!" She yelled with furrowed eyebrows, a small frown, and gleaming eyes, as if she was about to cry. "Did you ate my steak?"
"It's just a piece. I only took one." He reasoned out.
"Just one? Then who eat the others?" She suspiciously roamed her eyes around the others but no one admitted.
"Now, now, you can eat what you got there and I will cook you more steaks later once we get home." Isidore said to the sobbing Chaneri.
"Alright!" She said disappointingly.
Accepting defeat, she sat on one of the boulders and grab an apple from the basket she's carrying.
Suddenly, there's a rustle behind the bushes. Behind of it, a white fuzzy cat jumps out. It walked towards Mizuki and rubbed its fur against Mizuki's feet.
"Moonlight?" He was shocked to see the cat. "How did you get here?" He said as he lifts the cat from the ground.
"He must have teleported with us." Isidore said.
"Wait, is that the same cat we met at the alley this morning?" Balthazar asked.
Mizuki smiled and nodded yes.
"Just like I said, don't name a stray or it will certainly follow you."
"So that explains everything." Jeruzen inserted. "That's where the food went Chaneri." He said pointing to the cat in front of them.
Looking at the creature, Chaneri's disappointment somehow disappeared. "I do not mind at all." She said.
"Ehh!?" Jeruzen couldn't believe the sudden twist of Chaneri's action. "A while ago you're scolding me yet now you do not mind at all?" He yelled in distress.
"He's a different matter, big bro." A plain smile carved on her face. "Can we keep it?" She turns toward Mizuki.
"I'm not the right person to ask, Chaneri." He said gesticulating toward Balthazar.
"Oh alright. As long as you feed it and keep it clean." He sighed.
"I'll help!" Chaneri voluntarily raised her hands.
Afterwards, Chaneri and Mizuki took the cat for a bath on a little basin with warm water at the spring. At first, Moonlight was struggling and doesn't want to take a bath so Maku also helped them to finish the job. It made splashes and puddles all over and the three seem to be enjoying the scene.
