Chapter 57 - The Legend Could Only Be Awakened By The Three Cores Of The Universe

Xyros rushed from a direction, stamping the waterlogged ground up to his knees.  The strike was so powerful and stomping, it seemed to create a force that was impossible to describe.  Or he was like splitting waters or oceans using his two very sturdy legs.

He growled, emitting a blackish-green glow from his body.  The chains were still wrapped around his body, and X shaped on his chest.  His hair was long and wet, looking dirty but also terrible.  His eyes were intense, which occasionally gave off a vicious glare before he punched his opponent to death and exploded.

A slithering monster that was about to drown now exploded right in front of Xyros the instant he punched him with great force.  On Xyros's knuckle, a few serrations appeared automatically

He looked around, carrying a giant bludgeon on his shoulders proudly.  One of the soldiers of the Euros shouted at him, "Xyros, your friends are in danger.  They have been caught in Posei's stomach.  Hurry up there because only you can stop Posei because Posei will reject the energy of the monsters in your body!"

Then the soldiers of the Euros returned to battle, his body curled into smoke now contorted, and occasionally pulled out a sword to slash the monsters.  Screams continued to echo around Xyros, under the torrential rain and also amid the deafening sound of thunder.

The water level started to increase, water splashes sometimes splashed Xyros horribly after the body of a lifeless monster fell.  The sound of various objects still enveloped the surroundings, pushing and jerking.

Xyros ran even faster, splitting the water which made the other monsters growl in anger and decide to attack Xyros together.  However, they were blocked by the soldiers of the Euros who were ready to become a shield for Xyros.

"Continue on your journey, Xyros!  We will arrest them," shouted one of the soldiers of the Euros nation with his half-smoked body transformation.  In the distance Xyros just grunted, then he exploded his mace to hit a giant monster that had just emerged from the portal.

The monster fell miserably, the body hit the ground, and then half sank.  Some of the pygmy monsters screamed and then died.

Xyros detonated his mace at the prison that was confining the Healers as well as the Awakeners.  Xyros' explosive sparks contained a deep greenish color, the same as the color emanating from his body.  The explosive exploded and pierced through the water, sending a lot of smoke hissing in the air until it finally hit the prison.

Xyros's explosion didn't immediately destroy the wall that was confining the Healers as well as the Awakeners, but the energy friction was strong enough to be seen to cause quite a violent and shaking shock from within.

The Healers and Awakeners shook inside, they huddled and held each other.  Their transparent eyes flickered like tiny lights in the darkness.  "What happened?"  asked one of the Healers, who soon crouched down again as the prison that held them shook.

Meanwhile, in the Awakeners' prison, they were holding Sodas' body, which had stopped releasing water, but even so, that did not mean her condition was improving.  Sodas had lost a lot of energy, she was in a critical period.  If she used her strength again then it was certain that she would die.

It made Fuliath feel frustrated.  His whole body stiffened and his eyes slowly became curt.  The ripples of water that filled his eyes seemed to create a very violent storm, even more violent than the storm that's raging outside Posei prison.

"What happened?  Has Posei started to lose?  Has a Destroyer  managed to defeat him?"  The explosion sounded again, making them duck and cover Sodas' body again.

Fuliath stood up, he created a ball of water as light.  He stretched out his arms, then pulled the water element from within his body just a few streams.  Streams of water began to come out of Fuliath's pores, coiling like a very slender snake around Fuliath's arms.  The streams of water had gathered in Fuliath's palms, coalescing and forming a small shining ball.

Fuliath raised the ball of light, inspecting the walls of Posei's prison that had locked them in.  A bright burst of light surrounded them, forming a rather odd puddle of illuminated objects.

"The prison walls are starting to weaken," said Fuliath as he aimed at the ball of light that was above his palm.  The light was not dim but not too bright, with lines and an impression as if it came from an untouched another world, as if the ball of light was something that could stupefy humans and ask where they were.

There was a small crack caught in Fuliath's eyes.  He immediately brought his lighting closer and inspected it more closely.  "The cracks in this prison wall are small but very deep.  The crack certainly penetrated to the outside.  If only this fissure could be any wider maybe we could get out with our body of water formation."

One of the Awakeners suddenly frowned.  He answered Fuliath's words, "However, Fuliath, I believe that we will not be able to continue the procession of awakening the core of the universe because Sodas' conditions do not allow it.

"If we manage to get free then what can we do?  Is there a certain age for the core of the universe before it falls into a new wheel of life and is reincarnated again?  We have already secured them by awakening the two cores of the universe.  But that's not enough because the legend can still only be reawakened with three cores of the universe."

Fuliath pondered.  The lines on his face seemed to harden with a storm raging in his eyes.  He was starting to realize a big mistake and also a point that wouldn't change anything because, in the end, they wouldn't be able to win all of this.

The ball of light above his palm began to melt slowly, although it still left a solid shape but with a shrinking size.  "The legend's natural core universe should be destroyed a few minutes after coming out.  However, because we are doing the generation, maybe we can still get time.  There are at least two cores of the universe that support the natural core to prevent it from falling into the universe's reincarnation wheel."

Fuliath shattered his ball of light, thus creating a prison in pitch darkness that was lit up by the specks of light from their transparent eyes.  The solid water had melted, they twisted and wrapped around Fuliath's arms to re-enter Fuliath's pores and reside in his blood circulation.

The situation became silent because they felt they were on the edge of a clearer defeat.  Fuliath locked his arms behind his back as he said, "Hopefully a miracle will come.  And may Moreh in the Sotah World catch the sign of the sky and immediately provide help for us.  Because if not, the end of the battle can already be read, namely we will lose."

Another explosion suddenly sounded, shaking the prison that had confined the Powers up and making even bigger cracks visible.
