A massive explosion was created around the walls of Posei's prison, which locked up the Awakeners. They ducked and tried to protect each other's bodies. The crackling sound grew louder, their flaming eyes casting beamed at various angles, like a shaken flashlight aimed at an undetected object.
Explosions shook again, furious and relentless, and accompanied by cracks that grew open. This was a good chance for them to get out, but a moment later they thought about Sodas.
"Fuliath, maybe we can escape but we still can't carry out the resurrection procession. And Sodas still will not be able to get out of this prison because of her unconscious condition. What should we do now?" One of the Awakeners approached with a clear glow in his eyes. Some of his facial features gave off a shimmering silver light.
Behind him, sat down as well as stood several other Awakeners, who were still waiting with their faces half covered by the hood of the cloak. Their very pale skin could sometimes still dominate the darkness that surrounds them.
Fuliath was now able to draw water energy from the ground. He immediately bounced and examined the cracks in the prison walls around them. His eyes focused even more as he found crooked lines on the many sides of the wall. After a while, he came down. His body, which was taller than the others, now turned around. He said, "If we continue to stay in Posei's prison our energy will weaken. I will try to help Sodas out with my strength."
Another explosion rang out, causing the prison around them to shake. Cracks were getting wider and wider, like the ground that formed chunks after an earthquake. Fuliath immediately came out first. He changed his body shape in the form of water, and it worked. That's a sign that the paralytic field in Posei's prison had weakened.
Fuliath now shaped his body into gushing water, at the blunt end he twisted like the tail of a creeping animal, and he crept through the cracks in the walls around them.
The jet of water which was a reflection of Fuliath's body had already infiltrated, the tip would constrict and form a flat shape before finally penetrating the crack hole and coming out completely.
The water crept up the outer walls of the prison, then came down and merged with the rain that was already getting higher and higher. After all, the water elements that came from Fuliath's body fell and gathered, his solid body emerged suddenly from the pooling rainwater, like someone who had just drowned and was now able to reach the surface.
From where he was standing he could see Xyros running under the pursuit of Posei who soared high in the air. Posei detonated energy several times, causing the surrounding water to explode and evaporate. He tried to hit Xyros, but always failed.
During his escape, Xyros detonated his mace to hit the prison that was confining the Awakeners. The prison shook again and cracks were created again.
Fuliath tried to ignore Posei's pursuit and Xyros' escape. Now he telepathed his men. "Xyros is the one doing the rescue. Hurry up and get out! Leave someone inside the prison wall so he can push Sodas' element because I won't be able to pull it out on my own."
Fuliath's voice was barely audible if the Awakeners weren't concentrating because Posei's prison was still holding back some energy from the outside. The silence that broke out was swallowed up as Xyros' weapon explosion shook the prison around them again.
One of the Awakeners said, "I will stay to push the Sodas element from within while Fuliath will pull it from the outside. You better hurry out. We can't stay in this energy prison for too long."
They obeyed the advice. In the transformation of gushing and twisting water, they finally managed to get out of the prison together by passing through the crack in the wall.
Now only one Awakener remained in Posei's prison. He immediately communicated with Fuliath. "Fuliath, it's me Robus. I'll be the one pushing Sodas' element out."
Robus was an Awakener that had power below Fuliath. He was the representative of Fuliath. His body was slender, with long hair, and rattling weakly. Now he had prepared himself. He removed the hood that covered his head, revealing his white hair that looked like a stream of water in the Devores Waterfall.
He waited for a moment, standing behind Sodas' body, which was still sprawled. When a pull of energy he could feel he finally made another energy. Robus let out a stream of water from inside his body, and then he tied Sodas' body, wrapped it around her, and broke her slowly in the form of water.
The pull was getting stronger from the outside, while Sodas' legs still formed a rather solid body even though they were already in the form of water. Robus again emphasized his energy. In one stroke he was finally able to transform Sodas' body into a complete water form. Now the flow of Sodas' body had twisted and moved, but its movement was not like a living reptile but like a long object being pulled by a rope, weak and also just following the current.
Robus finally came out in his water elemental form after he saw Sodas' body had fully come out of the cracks around the prison. Robus appeared suddenly like someone who had just drowned and had finally found the surface. He immediately moved to approach the other Awakeners. His eyes found Sodas' body floating on the surface of the water blocked by the energy released by Fuliath.
The four of them were now standing in a row with their eyes on Xyros who continued to move to escape, while his mace was now pounding the prison that confined the Awakeners.
"Xyros. He's a Destroyer who has monster blood in his body isn't he?" Robus asked after he managed to align himself beside Fuliath who was still checking the surroundings. Above them, at a not-too-distant peak, still swirled the two cores of the universe surrounding a dead core.
Fuliath nodded. "Right. What I heard is that Xyros' mother is a monster while her father is a Destroyer. That's why his aura is slightly different. He is also the one who will win the battle with Posei if only he can stay inside Posei's digestive center."
"How come?" asked one of the Awakeners.
Fuliath replied, "Because Posei can't swallow his flock. The energy of the monsters will destroy the digestive wall if they enter it."
"But that is an old story, Fuliath. It might not happen now that Posei has gotten stronger. All the monsters in this era have become stronger." Robus and the others dodged when an explosion from Xryos' mace nearly hit them. One Awakener even bounced and dropped back down from above his jet of water, a few meters above the rising puddle.
"We won't know the result until what I say happens. But it would still be difficult since Xyros was already famous among the monsters. And that must have made Posei refuse to eat him. We'll see how this all ends up." Fuliath widened his eyes as a vortex of energy nearly targeted him. His body shot through the air and then kicked the energy away. Explosions boomed behind him.
After a while, he saw that the Healers had managed to get out of Posei's prison. A second later he saw Xyros already running to lunge at Posei. Xyros created a giant mace and tossed his body in the air, trying to target Posei.
